A smart, well thought-out, easy to use audio editor with built-in effects, and multiple options for saving. I used StereoMix Recorder (same developers) to capture audio from a video app on my phone. Then with WaveEditor I edited the audio (boost gain, clip unwanted audio, add fade) and re-saved the file all within a few minutes. With such a great app I just had to pay for the PRO version. Thanks to the coders from Woodstock! ~ Samsung Galaxy A32, Android 11
I have spent 4 hrs editing a file and the audio saves terribly. It's as if it has saved muffled and it's unusable. Once it saved, it goes out of the screen and you have to start editing on the original file all over again. I have no idea why it does this, but it has wasted so much of my time. If it saved the way it should, this app will be really good. I'm pissed.
I hope you would put a lock mode for those voiceovers that is edited already, so whenever we add a new file, we could focus on it seemlessly and without misclicking. A simple misclick ruins the organization of the files! You can't blame it with the user since the layout of your app is designed to make misclicks.
As soon as I installed, I could no longer open my music files without them automatically opening in this app. Even the 'open with' function won't work! I see no options or settings within the app to change this. So disappointed. This problem took my review from five stars down to one.
I downloaded this ages ago, before I completed my Audio engineering bachelor's and pro tools certification. Prior to this I had NO CLUE what any of the functions did, NOW I've completed my studies, I was playing with this yesterday. THIS APP and it's functionality, considering its a Mobile app, has absolutely blown me away. The functionality is stunning. This will be the FIRST app I intentionally pay to upgrade next week. absolutely love this app
I came all the way here just to say THANK YOU for adding the log scale to the spectrum analyzer. That was a really key thing that needed to be added. Everything else about this app is literally perfect (coming from an audio engineer. I use this app 12+ times a day.
Thank you so much.. this app is so convenient and useful. I spend my life on logic and ableton and this is the first app that takes whatever i throw at it and doesn't complain.. instead it gives me more options..its the perfect tool for listening to projects when I'm not on my computer.. its so good to read other reviews and know that people are as appreciative as I am of this app to use for free.
Records, but is too effing difficult to figure out how to manipulate. For example, how do you delete an unwanted file? Should be easy as hell but it is impossible to do so. Extremely poor design.
User interface could be improved, alright app. Sometimes wanna zoom in into the wave and it doesn't. Doesn't allow you to add images or lyrics to sound clip.
Due to the absence of a fast forward control, the app is a big time waster. The general flow is a bit minimalistic and not intuitive.
I used to love this. But now it doesn't save any edited audio. Ive tried everything. And 1000s have the same unsolved issue online looking for a fix. Such a shame so annoying
The app is good until you export your edit as mp3 or other format.Sound nothing like edited sound after exported. Hours of time wasted with this app
I'm very happy with app but know I am only using very basic aspects. Is there a user guide offered anywhere? I can't figure out how to temporarily mute left or right channel. I've experimented with PAN but don't get consistent outcome.
An extremely useful app for those who frequently have to edit audio - it's worth paying the small fee in order to unlock all the available features.
Didn't give me a chance to save the file after coming out of the Chromebook screensaver--- lost my whole session. The developers are clearly clowns.
Choose export folder removed? The latest update removed the ability to choose the folder you save the file to. Why? So u can data mine it?
The cassette to digital conversion attempted through this WaveEditor was greatly inferior to the simple Voice Recorder app on my Chromebook.
Excellent audio app, with nice live preview capabilities and some great features. It's more intuitive and easier to control than other comparable apps. It doesn't have a lot in the way of effects or filters but that is fine with me, it's great for basic sound engineering. I wish the graphic EQ had more bands (but the parametric more than makes up for it, I'm just being fussy.) Love it.
I can't believe an app this good is free, I don't have to boot up wavelab, I can do all my audio editing and conversions on my phone. What a time to be alive. The zooming in and out and saving loop regions is pretty intuitive, and being able to import and export and convert in multiple formats is all you could wish for in an audio editor. I will probably upgrade to the Pro version to unlock some extra functionality, but for now this does all I need. 👍👌🤘
It does work but very complicated and sounds not very good. Its been almost a year and still you cant save an audio file.. you must screen record .........the exported audio sounds so bad ,, static, clipping , just all around terrible. So clearly they do that on purpose to make you pay since inside the app it plays normally. FAIL. There's lots of EQ apps out there folks ,, let these guys go out of business if they're not already.
It said it could not import a simple MP3 from my downloads. I tried with two different files, and I had no issues in a different app with the same files. I was excited for this one being able to import a wider spectrum of files (and convert them), but it didn't even successfully import an MP3. Surely this is just a bug, but for now, 2 stars.
This app is very powerful, essentially behaving like a desktop audio workstation. I appreciate the Windows-like menu especially. First time users may take a while to master the UI. Persevere though as it is worth it, as is paying for the Pro version to use all of the excellent effects. I've enjoyed being able to create, edit and mix the perfect ring/notification sounds, importing samples from existing sound files. Top work, devs!
