Note that the trial version has a runtime limitation and does not support DAB+ but only DAB and FM/RDS.If you like Wavesink Trial, try out the full-featured Wavesink Plus version with DAB+/DRM+ support:https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.ses.wavesinkplus

TO THE DEVELOPER: can you please fix just 1 thing , bought the premium versiojn , but you cannot save any stations , you have to rescan every single time , this is the only feature that needs fixing for me please

This one might look fancy, but I rather use Welle.IO, atleast that one works :) (and did I mention, it's free??!!!!)

Needs updating and fixing. Expensive unsupported app.

Fm reception seems fine but issues with dab. Can only hear birds chirping. And trial is way too short. Did not manage to check all the channels to see if any other work ok. Will check back in a few months.

I had high hopes for this app. it really does not have many features, like manual addition of stations to favorite list. also tuning settings, for example if the radio station has a low signal it will not save this station automatically. also DAB+ is the European digital radio branding. I wished American HD radio was supported. SDR Touch at the moment is a better app for its features but I wish it has the front end presets function of Wavesink. Also SDR Touch only supports standard FM radio and AM radio audio.

I'd already purchased SDR Touch and liked it well enough. The rtl-sdr website listed wavesink as a new android-based app so I installed the trial version. When started the app says it does a channel surf. It then proceeds to flicker screens between a bunch of different modes, switching and swapping -- in general freaking out -- in ways that made me think I'd be lucky if all it did was erase my tablet. If not I was waiting for the screen that said my data had been encrypted and was being held for random. Very stressful investment in time. If this is a real piece of business I wish the authors well. But my experience was very bad.

Works well, but the interface can be a little confusing if you're expecting a simple radio. If you want technical details, however, it's great :) Take the time to learn how to get the best from it and it's very rewarding.

Trial is far too short for me to fully test and justify the cost of the full version. Sadly as i cant test more than a few mins i wont be parting with my money.

It would be quite good if it didn't work for about a minute. Then it closes , asking to purchase the full version, which is 13€. Too much.

I wanted to test DAB+ in Italy. I regret the time i lose with that app. Distructing policy to block DAB+. Bye bye..

I have the app installed in my Android media system in my car. It works fine but as it is in the car I do not have a contiguous WiFi connection and the app need to validate from time to time. Consequently I often loose the use of it until I return home and connect it via my phone as a hotspot and re-validate by opening the app and allowing it to connect via the Web. Another nice to have is to step right and left one station at a time by tapping the screen.

Really hate having to cancel the USB connect dialog box every time I restart my phone. Makes me really hesitant to purchase app, since there's no way to avoid this.

Really liked the interface and using it was fine. Worked well with my cheap RTL dongle. But, with the paid app it would not pick up the dongle. Got a refund. Looked promising though. Maybe with support I will try again later.

24kHz stations sound robotic and wrong. Considering there are a good number of them in the UK this needs to be fixed as a matter of priority. Unsure whether the plus version is going to be the same.

Other apps that support RTL seem to have TCP source support

Boots OK to dab, but can't find how to change to FM! UI bit too sleek....

FM RDS and DAB+ is working fine in Hungary. DVB-T support would be really-really great! Is that possible?

Mah. M. Jan 13, 2017

Hi, I wanted to translate your app, how can I contact you?

Mar. B. Oct 13, 2014

Nice start, but I won't fork out money for the paid version until it becomes fleshed-out with more features. As it stands, SDR Touch works much better on my HP Slate 7 Extreme, so I bought their unlock key.

Good software but let down by inferferance that makes DAB listening a bit of a chore. I suspect the trial version has an older version of code that doesn't work so well decoding DAB broadcasts. The paid version does not suffer this issue at all so it works better. The paid version at £8 is a little on the expensive side but does work very well. Both the Paid and free version look a little dated in the gui screen but actually provides a lot of useful information like RDS info on FM, DAB info (current song etc), FM frequency, Signal strength, signal to noise ratio. Overall the Trial version gets a rating of 3 stars due to intermittent chirps on DAB. The full version gets 5 stars as it's rock solid stable.

App works brilliantly, full RDS data and DAB functionality. User interface is very crude but contains a lot of technical information - perfect for techies. Please sort out the interface to make it car friendly and it will get a deserved 5*. I would pay €20+ for a version with a decent in-car interface. Until then I will settle on the non-DAB/RDS SDR-touch as it's quite car friendly. PLEASE PLEASE tidy up the user interface to be car friendly on my Nexus7 and I will be the first to buy a full version ;)

While this app actually works, unlike GLSDR that just crashes, it's a real pain to use since you can't enter station frequency manually to get to a station and the audio is badly distorted since there's no way to adjust the gain or bandwidth.

Jas. G. Sep 15, 2014

This version (at least on a Note 3) has skipping audio due to an IO bug that has been fixed for the paid version (see developer forums). Dev should update code in this one to sell it better, as crackling / breaking up audio will not convey confidence in app.

Cha. W. Jun 8, 2014

To the author - if you're already limiting the run time to 5 minutes then why also bother reducing the functionality? Australian stations are all broadcasted via DAB+ which means your trial version isn't proving your software works. What's the point then? I'm just as unsure whether I should give you $12.

Installed this on my Android car stereo with a cheap ebay DVB dongle and it works just fine! However the UI needs some work. Writing is illegibly small and it is hard to navigate. Add a car-friendly interface and you will be on to a winner! Do that and it will be SIX stars.

Sco. P. Jan 1, 2014

It works, but not enough features to make it worth paying the asking price. Can get more for less than a dollar difference with SDRTouch.

Looking forward to the commercial version.
