WavPlayer
Plays many types of audio file formats that Android does not support. These can be email attachments or files downloaded to your SD card, like wav voice-mail, music, midi, and many other file formats. To play files from the SD card, install a file manager application (ES File Explorer is an excellent choice)

Also includes playback support for all Android core media formats. Your device must be able to play these with the built-in player.

I received a warning that it was written for an older version of Android, but it worked fine on my Pixel 6 Pro with Android 12. The same thing happened a year ago when I installed it on my Pixel 5. I also used it in my Pixel 3. I've used WavPlayer on 3 phones for more than 4 years and it has always worked reliably.
Need to play wav files I receive via email on earpiece. No way to designate play EVERY wav file this way. Appears I need to download each attachment individually then designate "open with" individually for each file.
This is the BEST yet SIMPLE Player to use to play your voicemails via email and MP3 contents from WhatsApp! Very easy to set up, in fact, you DON'T EVEN need a MANUAL to use it!
It used to be great. But I just today got a notice from Samsung that it's no longer supported, and to look for an update. Lo and behold, no update.so now I have to find another product that may or may not work with our phone.
Awesome app! Did just what I needed it to do. Customizable, great look and sound; well worth the price. Highly recommend.
Doesn't work with Samsung 8, and web site appears unavailable! so far the most waste of a £1 I've spent.
there should be an option to give 10 stars for this app ..(i used to use vlc) ..it worked then stopped working ..this app is just amazing..installed and it works 100%..THANK YOU Dennis
App hasn't been updated in years. Now with the new galaxy phones doesn't work anymore.
Plus wav voicemail files that a pixel 6 can't.
Wouldn't work for me, just says "error opening input file" trying to playback SHN files.
Only works for old versions of android. Refunded immediately!
Works where Remote Wave now fails for VoIP voicemail

App claims it will open voip wav files. It doesn't work on my Galaxy Note 8. Shouldnt have paid the money.

Put on my Samsung note 4 and selected earpiece to play my wav voice mails and still plays thru speaker. Can this be fixed. Bob t.
Great, inexpensive solution for my Moto Droid Turbo 2 running Lollipop and stock email. Installed this app and rebooted. Now when I tap on a voicemail attachment, it plays. Thank you for this app! EDIT: THE FIX ONLY LASTED ONE DAY. UNFORTUNATELY, SOUND ATTACHMENTS TO EMAIL AGAIN FAIL TO OPEN NOW. :-(
Thank GOD! An app that plays my voicemail. It's been crippling without this function. Now if only I could play directly from the email rather than having to save it first. But something is better than nothing!
Amazon Kindle Fire HD cannot play Wav attachments to email. This App solved that problem. Once selected as the default app, works every time.

Great to have an app to play VoIP messages. Only wish it could be setup to be used by default. I have my voicemail messages emailed to my Gmail but when I try to open them it says failed and then I have to click open with but the open with dialog doesn't have the option for setting to always...
Seems to work fine on Pixel 6 with Android 12. The first time I ran it, I got a warning saying the app was written for an older version of Android, but I dismissed it with few issues. Minor hiccups: defaults to earpiece only (should be auto) and custom decoder (not necessary for me, wav and amr files). Also, interface is somewhat dated. Should probably be refreshed and retargeted after six years!
