The app is so glitchy. Some days it won't let me order something I got the day before, so I go into the store to order it, which defeats the purpose of the app and ordering ahead. It almost regularly kicks me out while ordering and I have to restart my order. The rewards absolutely suck! You need to spend $50 to get a reward, and it's rewards like a dollar off a fruit cup, and similar cheapy things. I would be a little bit more fond of the app if it wasn't so glitchy.

Great convenience store, but the mobile app...not so much! It takes a long time to open the app, and watching a flying bird doesn't entertain when trying to place an order or checking out at the register. I even updated to the latest version (6.4.1) and do not see any improvement. Other apps on my phone work fine, so I don't believe the problem is on my end. I just wish that WaWa can get this resolved.

Too slow to load. Like come on, if you are designing the app to display barcodes to scan at the register, you gotta work on having some kind of local cache on the device that can display the codes WHILE the rest of the app loads. Because as it is today it's excruciatingly slow and THERE'S ALWAYS a line forming behind me. If only the app didn't have to reload for an entire minute or two on EVERY SINGLE LAUNCH. Get on that, Wawa!

The worse app!!!! I have attempted several times on several different devices to log in and each time it takes me to a log in screen, I enter my information, and it takes me back to the log in screen. It is so frustrating. I've reset my password to ensure its not a security issue and still the same thing! Wawa needs to do better!

The convenience is great, but there's a lot of software issues. For example, I add a drink to my cart and then there is an error. Error ME4003 to be exact. I can now no longer see my cart at all. I can't remove the product causing issues and I can't check out... So I go to screenshot it to share the issue. I cannot, it shows up purely as a black screen. It's 2022. Come on Wawa. Hire some more programmers already.

Need to speed up the loading time. 95% of the time I'm just trying to get the gift card, and it's rough in a busy line sitting there waiting for it to load while the bird flaps its wings. It's especially frustrating at locations where cell service is unreliable as it takes a long time for it to then decide that I can load the card in offline mode. Otherwise functionally the app is fine.

Everything was great till I got a error 15 message.. scanned everything with AVG, uploaded again, but still have an error code. Found out it was my VPN that was making it act up, and my date and time was already good to go. So now I have to shut off the VPN to use the app now. Then switch it back on. Hopefully this will get adjusted later on because when I looked it up, this was a almost common problem. But after that, the app works awesome👌

The Wawa app has been taking 1 step forward and 2 back for over a year. They app is much improved. Still need employees to catch up with the technology. Plus just because my order is produced in different areas, need someone to pull all the parts together (salads, drinks, sandwiches, sundries (e.g., bananas, ice, etc). But much improved in past 9 months.

App is way too slow loading. I find myself not even using it half the time because I forgot to open it before I went into the store, and don't want to hold up the line waiting for it to open, then switch the card scanning screen. Edit: in response to the official Wawa reply. No. Your app is a slow POS. Look at all the one star reviews. This isn't some fluke. Stop denying and fix the app.

It's a good app...when it works. Periodically it has a non specific problem processing payment, which isn't helpful when the whole purpose is to pay ahead. It doesn't link with Google Pay - it believes there are no payment methods authorized when that's not true. And sometimes it just doesn't apply purchases toward reward balance. But...when it functions, it's convenient and useful.

**edit update for 4/4/22** The app overall is simple, but as other reviewers have stated VERY slow. Additionally, until the last update I hadn't had any problems with my transactions and reward points being updated. **Currently have $42 worth of transactions (and the subsequent reward points) not be processed/accounted for!**. I go to 'Recent Transactions', it says they're pending. Every time. Frustrating and a bit pointless to utilize this app when it's main function is utterly non-functional!

Strongly recommended if you frequent Wawa The perfect app would include more choices in deciding your favorite foods for the $50 dollar milestones, and only log you out when you tell it to. Sometimes the 'Pick 1 of 3 rewards' would you all options you don't like. That's okay, in my experience the app itself works very well, even when offline, since they let me use the codes for cards and rewards anyway, cached in case you have connection issues.

The app itself is good but it is SO SLOW! Standing in the checkout and trying to pull up coupons takes forever. I frequently use two coupons and usually have to have the manager come in and manually process the coupon. Needs to be really sped up. Definitely the worst app for speed that I use. Other than that a good overall app except I wish we could type in special instructions, i.e. lightly toasted.

Takes forever to load, have to leave the store just for it to load. I thought it was the app but it's definitely the stores themselves. Nothing loads when I'm inside but when I walk outside, it's fine, smh. Signal in all locations are trash, defeats the purpose of the app when the stores mess up our ability to get service inside the locations. Should also have the ability to supply phone number to cashiers to pull up discounts if your app never works inside. Smh. Do better

The app is slow but to get around that issue, I load up before I go into the store. I'm at Wawa every morning for breakfast so the $50 is easy to get to, but the downside is 85% of the time they are rewards for things that I NEVER buy. My suggestion on that would be to increase the reward list to give more items to pick from, or pay attention to what I buy and give me rewards for those. If that issue is resolved it would get five stars.

This is one of the worst apps I've ever had to use. It takes way too long to load any pages whether it is redeeming a reward, bringing up a gift card, etc. Worse, when the app resets and wants me to log back in again, even if I log back with my correct password and email it still wants me to sign back in again. If I didn't frequent Wawa's on my commute to work, I would never ever use this app again until MAJOR improvements are made to basic usability and speed other apps figured out decades ago

It's great when it works, if it works. It takes forever to load, so much so I have to open the app at least 3 minutes before I'm ready to check out at the register & even then it's sometimes still hasn't loaded yet. I probably missed out on thousands of points because I can't stand at the register with people behind me waiting for it to load. I guess instead of relying on an app to actually work I suppose I'll just take a screenshot of my rewards barcode to show the person each time I need it.

Terrible App/Lost Points This is the worst app. It is extremely slow to open. Often times I have to use my credit card at the register because the app will not open and there is a line of people waiting behind me. I do not get loyalty points for purchases. It constantly glitches. Come on Wawa. Update your app.

Frustratingly inconsistent. The goose flaps and flaps when I need to use the app but has no problem when I'm checking it outside the store or won't increase the brightness when I'm trying to scan, forcing me to pay full price. It works most of the time, which is what makes it so infuriating.

Currently cannot login through this app. I can login on my regular computer just fine but that won't give me rewards unless they allow me to type in the long rewards card number at the pump. Really no reason why I shouldn't be able to login. Update* I rebooted my phone and changed my default browser from Bing search to brave and deleted cookies before I did that. Also uninstalled app and reinstalled but I think changing it to a real browser made it work. Not sure if Bing search app works.

Have been having issues with updating my payment information for far too long. It never stops saying there's an issue no matter what card I attach, how many times I uninstall/reinstall, clear the cache... it just keeps getting hung up. I entered one once when I first got the app, but now I need to update the card. Very frustrating. Have just been going to Costco for gas since I can't get the savings at Wawa.

Don't get scammed! Check to ensure fuel discounts are applied at the pump before fueling. Even though the app said a discount was applied, it was not shown on the pump or credit card charge. The pump price should change upon pump activation by the app. Update: I tried another store and fuel discounts applied normally. I have reached out to the developers to try to resolve the issue with that particular store. I added another star since I am only experiencing the problem at one store.

This app is hot garbage. It logs me out 100% of the time when i click on it and i have a vpn up. Since i use a VPN near constantly, this is infuriating. Even my banking app is good with a VPN. Plus when I use the app its slow as hell. Nothing is worse then waiting for the app to load with a line of people behind you. Worse still is if i place an order on the app and pick pay in store i dont get points for that order unless i scan my rewards card. That makes no sense what so ever.

If it weren't for the rewards, I wouldn't use it. You can't redeem more than three rewards at a time, and it doesn't tell you that until you find out in the checkout line that it doesn't work. The app is unbearably slow. The fuel feature doesn't work about half the time, and it takes forever to grab your location. If you place an order to a store, there's about a 70% chance that the store will ever see it, causing you to waste more time than if you hadn't even bothered. Fix this app.

You can place orders in advance to pick up, and their Rewards system offers some decent perks as well as the occasional free coffee. However, it takes WAY TOO LONG TO LOAD. Opening your in-app Rewards card or the Rewards portion of the app can lead to 30 seconds (or usually much more) before you can access it, which is aggrevating when you're at the Checkout counter because you're stuck watching the Wawa logo flap its wings as you're holding up the line. MAKE THIS FASTER.

Absolutely awful experience. I download the app so I can make gas and food purchases. You can't link a credit or debit card to make food purchases. Only gift cards. And 3 out of 4 attempts to fuel with the app failed, for various reasons. Just awful.

App is brutal. Shows rewards but if not at the store you lose them. For instance, leaving for work I ordered a sandwich and went to pay with rewards. Not an option. Pay in full or order in store. Ordering in store takes longer but ok. Get to store order sandwich reward is gone because I opened it at home trying to pay for the sandwich. App takes forever to load , can't add points with phone #. They could learn a lot from Quick Check.

This app is probably one of the worst apps on my phone I keep hoping to get updated and the bug gets fixed takes forever to load and when it does load half the time you have to sign back in and reset your password. They need to do a full redesign of the app War move it to a digital wallet

Hitting a button takes ten seconds to register. Waiting for the next screen can take up to a minute, is minimum 4 seconds. When you're finished with one item, it says "I'm done", which implies that you're done with your whole order. A webpage would be faster. If the ordering system in the physical stores used this app most of the touchscreens would be destroyed in less than a week. Unacceptable.

The app is clean, The experience is fine If you have a newer phone with a fast processor. However, the Rewards Program needs some work. The app should recognize what the customer buys and gives them a reward that goes matches up with their previous purchases. It should not be something random like a $3 coupon off of a Salad or $1.50 off a smoothie. Especially after I spent $50 and none of it was on either one of those items. Also, I hope gaining points for gas purchases is coming.
