In a few simple taps, Way2ride connects you to a licensed, professional taxi driver to get you where you need to go. There’s no surge pricing, so you always pay what’s on the meter, plus an optional tip of your choice. Just register your credit card, pre-set your tip, and you’re ready to go. Payment is automatic, so you can hop out when the ride ends and get on with your day.
Even if you hail a cab the old fashioned way, you can still pay automatically by entering the check-in code on the taxi screen. All of your receipts are emailed to you, as well as stored in the app and online for easy expensing.

Like all the other recent reviews say, something has gone horribly wrong with the app and it crashes constantly. After I hailed a cab it crashed constantly and wouldn't reopen again til I get in the cab I hailed. Hope it works to pay at end of this trip! Just as disappointing is that they bought Curb and want us to migrate to that app platform and it is buggier than Way2Ride was (back when it was reliable).
App used to work, now it just keeps force closing when you open it app. Or it will open, allow you to hail a car, then keeps force closing. I missed 3 cars in the past because my ride was canceled before I could receive the info about the car. Please fix.
GPS does not work, driver said I was a no show and hit with $3 surcharge. He was driving through buildings in the app map. Uninstalling, I guess Uber will finally win everywhere.
App launches but once I hail a cab it crashes. I've been lucky that the cab has shown up but I don't know till they arrive. Also the no surcharge advertising is false- I used to pay $20-$25 for my ride and now it's $30+ for the exact same ride.
Randomly locked my account for no reason. When I contacted customer svc was told the "engineers" have to unlock account. 5 days later nothing. Hello Arro.
I use the app because I prefer cabs to Uber, but the app has many flaws. Often isn't accurate as to where the taxi is. It gives no notification that the taxi has arrived. Stalls often.
Crashes after you attempt to hail and won't reopen, I can't confirm my ride, view my drivers ETA, or message/cancel with my driver if needed.
I have had great experience with this app to pay for rides I hailed. Ray to ever code once in cab. Surprised by the poor comments.
This app is the reason to take Uber. Piece of crap.
Unstable app. I tried to hail a cab and app kept shutting down, needed to reinstall it. Other time I tried to check in inside a cab, several attempts with no success. That's why UBER is taking all your business.
App works but requests far too much access to phone app, contacts, photos, other apps. They are selling your data. Watch out
Using this app in vegas. It works great but not all cabs are app ready. It worked in 12 out of 13 cabs I rode in this week.
It was great, but after last update it checks in, but never completes the trip upon arrival. -- Now it calls the cab, but then crashes completely and doesn't restart. The payment still goes through.
What a waste of time. The designers should pick a different career
Drivers pass me by. Say they don't use it. Supplanted by Curb app. Uninstalling.

I use this all the time. Get into cab, yellow or green, and it's done. Love it.
So easy to hail a taxi and pay through the app!
It downloaded quick on my android phone within 7 minutes it started working

When paring you can't select which card you want to pay with. You have to go into setting and change your payment method. Want to switch cards after you paired? You have to cancel the trip, goto setting, change you default payment method and repair
I had someone steal my cab this morning, and I was charged $23 because there's no way to notify the driver once the ride has started. When I contacted the company to get a refund, I was told simply "call your credit card company and dispute it." Will not touch this app again - UberT is more reliable.
Paying with app in taxi works OK, but the wannabe uber functionality with the hail feature doesn't work. Cabbies don't respond to it even when there are several close by. I'm sure app tech works fine but need cab drivers to actually pay attention too
My account is locked for reasons I don't understand, but nobody replies to my emails to start the process of addressing the block. The app was convenient enough, but if this support reflects the level of commitment to competing with Uber, it's easy to see why Yellow cabs are failing miserably.
The app worked better before. Now I keep getting an "unrecognized address" message, which is crazy. I'm in NYC, not the boonies. How can an address be unrecognized. To make matters worse, I've put this address in previously with no problem. At first this was better and more reliable than Uber,. Not any more.
Just put in the code from the 🚕 screen and you're good to go!
