Waypoint Pro
Waypoint allows you to easily organize your location data by creating categories which specify the type of location data being stored. Three types of location data are supported, Waypoints, Routes, and Tracks. The type of location data choosen for each category will determine how the data is mapped and exported using the export to GPX feature.
Categories can be used to store your favorite fishing, boating, hunting, parking, or any other kind of location data you can think of.
Categories and Waypoints are all fully manageable: Create, Rename, Move waypoints between categories, and Delete.
Your waypoint data can easily be backed up either by E-mailing or uploading the data file to Google Drive if you have the Google Drive app installed.
Waypoint can also notify you when you are within a certain distance of your waypoint by enabling the Proximity Alert feature. With the proximity alert enabled you will receive a system notification indicating your are within the set proximity of your waypoint. This feature can be set in the Edit Notifications menu item.
Want to share your location with other friends or send your friends your Waypoints? Use the Share Location and Share Waypoint feature to easily email, SMS, Facebook, Twitter, etc. your locations to your friends.
If you have location data stored in GPX format Waypoint can import your data and automatically categorize it into Waypoints, Routes, and Tracks. Or, if you have location data that is in KML format Waypoint can import it as well.
Want a really cool way to show your friends the places you have been? Export the data as KML format and email the file which can be opened with Google Earth on a computer. Or you can open the KML file right on your mobile device and view the waypoints in the Google Earth mobile application.

Accuracy depends on your GPS signal and your device. When locating a waypoint take the Accuracy of your current location into consideration.

Junk doesnt work. Cant save waypoints .
I LOVE this app for collecting and exporting survey points in csv format for field work. Saves my company money in that they don't have to buy me a separate GPS unit. Thank you for a GREAT simple, accurate, functional app.

Droid dev... I just purchased the 6.7 version and the radar functionality is not working.. the app sends me to the marketplace to search for the app but i get the following message: "No results found for 'pname:com.thedroiddev.android.radar'. Any tips????
I paid because it said it could import GPX files. Got distracted setting up dropbox. 20 minutes later I run it -- it has a UI to "Import Source from: GPX", but the OK button is greyed out. The error "A problem occurred retrieving files to import" is on the screen, but I haven't even had a chance of choosing the file in my dropbox! I can't use it for why I bought it. I paid for nothing.
The list function shows you distance and direction to a category of waypoints, which is a big improvement. However, clicking on a list entry doesn't select it as the active waypoint, as you would expect. It just shows more info about the waypoint. There's should be a Select button on that info screen, or you should be able to long-press on a list item to select it. Instead, you have to leave that screen, open up a different screen, and then select the waypoint you want. Not exactly user-friendly.
I have waited to properly test this App before rating it. I used it to find my hotel I had been to once, 2 miles from from a tube station I had never been to before in China!! It was brilliant, we would never have found it without, an absolute lifesaver.....

I have found the pro version of the "Waypoint Pro" app to be one of the most accurate and easy to use on my Galaxy S4 than many of the others I have used.
A must have for outdoorsmen!
Purchased and installed the night before climbing Maroon Peak (one of Colorado's most difficult 14,000' peaks). It worked great. Continued to confirm we were on the often difficult to spot path. This works with phone in airplane mode and GPS on, and my S3's battery lated all day! Fortunately I was able to figure out that I needed to copy the downloaded GPX file into the Waypoint folder, and remove an underscore after the file's extension. Thanks a bunch for this! Well worth $2!
Purchased the full version for use on Galaxy S3. All features seem to be working properly and the user interface is clean and easy to use.
Bought pro and it is not any more accurate than free, save your money

Bugger. It looks like a really neat app. Just crashed after 2 Minutes. Hope they can fix the bugs.
Works like a champ. The Droid Dev was quick to respond to a feature request, then implemented it. I have used this on my GS3 with no issues at all.
Also, any change in phone orientation while on map mode will reset the map to global view.
The best waypoints on the app store... And the developer he's very kind. Permettere di salvare i waypoints anche in gruppi ed addirittura di esportarli.
Nice little app, but could definitely use some tweaks. Nobody, and I mean nobody, ever uses elevation data in terms of miles. Need to allow for better tweaking of units and measurement. Would be nice if it supported ESRI shapefiles. And definitely need to allow for importing KML. That's a huge drawback. In terms of function this app is a great idea and I can think of hundreds of uses. Just right now it's a little underpowered.
It's ok on its own in the foreground. But doesn't seem to work in the background at all when using any other GPS navigation app? Pity, would've been very useful. Desire 2.2
I use this app all the time to mark fishing spots or any other spot for that matter. You can even key in coordinates. I tried several apps in this was the best.

Lets say you want to leave your hotel in the middle of Nepal, simply set up a home waypoint, start exploring and setting up way points along the route then when you want to come back just select home. Install the radar extension. Its a must have. This app is great.
Great app, I have been using this Pro version 7yrs + for a marine/shipping purpose and find it very accurate and easy to use. Keep up the good work and many thanks.
