The procedurally-generated dungeon and vast array of possible items gives immense replay value. Some games you'll find a good weapon early, other times you'll rely on wands or potions, or some combination. Sometimes in sheer desperation you'll read a random unidentified scroll... will it be a scroll of fire that incinerates your clothes? Will it be a blessed scroll of teleportation for the ultimate escape?
If you have every played NetHack, DCSS, etc, this game will show you a whole new form of the "roguelike" genre.
This game is as much about the journey as the destination. You will die frequently, but you will learn tricks that will help your next valiant attempt until you one day conquer the dungeon!
When you get good enough to survive to 300 feet, you will be asked to upgrade your character to access the full dungeon. This is a one-off purchase for each type of character (for example, the sorcerer and sorceress are a single type
- Evil Mages). The whole game can be played with any character
- you only need to purchase your favourite character(s). This can also be seen/purchased in advance under Options/Store.
Supports different controls tuned for phones, tablets, and Android TV gamepads.

I'm facing performance issues on my device. Considering the graphics, this shouldn't have been a problem. Gauging by the recent reviews, it seems more than likely that it's due to the new updates.
it is very fun it has a lot of variety the dungeon from what I can tell is always Auto generated which makes it a lot more replayable the graphics aren't much of anything though there's not much else to say but it's a very cool game
Since the newest graphic overhaul the game runs very poorly even at lowest settings. An unfortunate development... Played on Galaxy Tab 6.

Been playing this daily for weeks, off and on for months. Easily one of the best, if not the best roguelikes with graphics ever.That's coming from someone who's been playing these types of games since the mid 90's, before the internet went public. Even with 100+ hours in this one I'm still finding new things. One can only hope Waz (the dev) will one day decide to implement some updated material into it. So yeah, do yourself a favor & unlock a class pair or two. It's a bargain for what you get!
Hard to beat and impossible to master. Best nethack variant ever made. Period. Only game I've consistently played and kept installed since the first day I played it. If you enjoy challenging games that require critical thinking over reflexes this is the game for you. Still maintained over a decade later! Love ya WazWaz! Hope to see more updates in the future like new and deeper dungeons!
My favourite game of all time, i have never beat it in years. I finally complete everything. On the way back up i get to floor 200. Almost there. Massive bug where every item in the game is stuck to me and i cant move 😠i have spent so much lf my life trying to finish this game only for this to happen!!!
Keeps crashing! Played quite a few times and it seems like anytime I'm doing fairly well the game crashes and I have to force stop in order to restart. Wouldn't be a huge issue if this wasnt a die once and lose a character game. Game a crashed 3x now. I have a Samsung s10 e
Amazing replayability and value... I've played WazHack, on and off, for years and it is still my favorite game on Android. Originally, I bought this game when it was a paid app (and only had 4 sets of characters) and once Google added in-app purchases, the game was made free and added new characters (4 more sets). I've played many games on Android, yet this one, one of the first games I downloaded (on my Motorola Atrix 4G HD), has stayed one of the best mobile games on the Play Store.
This is a DEMO! Granted it's a very good game, which would probably get 5*, but i can't award that to a demo that wants you to pay for the full game. Not against paying but this makes it feel like a con, rather than an advertising strategy. That said, what I've seen so far seems like a top notch nethack esq game. Very playable and worth paying for.
It's pretty good, but it is a free version. Once you get to 300 feet, you're instantly hit with the pay wall to advance further. I wouldn't mind paying if it wasn't just 99¢ for the character class you used to get to the 300 ft ladder, but to unlock the full version for all classes at once.
My new favorite rouge like! Just as one reviewer said, it's a great way to play Nethack with out the typing. Each class has it's own challenges and way to play. Every new game has a new experience. I loved this so much that I just bought it on steam. Thanks WAZ!!
Love to play this game with extra time on my hands. The only problem the inability to save and restart if you die you die. But I do have to say once you do finally win it's very rewarding even though they're few and far between.
Absolute piece of garbage with some cool ideas thrown in. Control by tapping is badly done, rng is badly done, so many bugs it is amazing they expect you to pay money for this garbage, and on top of that it is horribly optimized to where even newer phones can lag from this trash. So many time wasting mechanics to add an illusion of depth. Why not just let players choose their stats for a character when you already give them the option to randomly generate stats? Just to waste people's time? 1/5
It's ok. My character sold some items to a merchant, then randomly attacked when I tried to buy. So that's how the game ended. I don't know what that was all about. Maybe the action controls aren't clear.
I wanted to like it... i really did but there is so much negative RNG. You pick up a ring, now you float and can't get loot. You find a hat, its cursed. You find a scroll, it kills you. It all feels so lame and disempowering, like the devs just get giggles out your frustration. The game could be really good, but the core direction is wrong and frustrating to play.
i love this but I kinda wish that like the knight or wizard, one of them I would like to progress past only 300 ft. I would absolutely buy it on steam but I boycott all mobile game transactions from games trying to double dip or quadruple. lest you deserve all the stars and funding, but I dont have it /:
I have been playing this game religiously for 6 years now. It is the only game that is constantly installed on my phone, the replay value is unmatched for mobile games!
Awful direction, awful game play, balance issues, tons of negative effects. And also cheesy pay wall reminds me of some 90s trial game. You can tell no real work was put into it.
i quite like it very fun and satisfying going through a dungeon killing every thing that comes against you ... that is until im about to reach 300 feet and the voice from above reminds me this os a game and i havent given him money ... yeah not so fun and satisfying

All time favorite roguelike. Despite tue constant flood of new ones coming out, this one always pulls me back.
New version is basically unplayable. Minimized graphics, all options in advanced turned off. Galaxy S8+ can barely run at 20fps. Disappointing. I've had this game for years and always enjoyed it. I've purchased most of the characters too and played them all. I hope the dev can add in a limited mode or something to help with older phone compatibility.
