WBRC First Alert Weather

Was working but now I don't get the new weather updated videos like am still waiting on the 9pm update and it's 11pm. Not good in bad times. Now it's not working at all, like how am I supposed to get alerts (especially when there's bad weather) I don't recommend this app at all.

Alerts are always there, but alerts could come out faster than on the news. Some of us don't have a live feed and depend on our phones, or someone could send alerts at the same time. I still think ALL news stations could send out a multi media signal to those that do not have live feed on TV.

Deleted this app because it kept verbally announcing "News station alert has arrived." I toggled notifications off but still kept getting the announcement. Edit 2/18/22: reinstalled because of recent dangerous weather but will uninstall as soon as I'm done with this review because of "NEWS STATION ALERT HAS ARRIVED" won't stop despite the bad weather having ended. Weather Bug is a better app, it has more map layers. Install WBRC only for dangerous weather, then uninstall.

I use this app every day. Saves a lot of time over watching weather on tv and having to wait for it to air. I gave a low rating for ads shown just because I don't like ads but know they're necessary.

Had to Uninstall the app twice on 2 different occasions then re added it and that was even after the app had already been up dated and refreshed!

I have it on follow me but it does not update the forecast where ever I'm at. I used the app because I love the meteorologist's at Fox-6

weather alerts are quick. lightning blast overhead. within 5 to 10 secs I get the alert of intense lightning. heavy precipitation alerts generally a few minutes ahead of storm. watch live: mixed feelings about this. it's a great addition to the app. however the loading times can be slow in a weak signal area and add in the load times of the ad and it may be 2 minutes before it actually loads. after the siren goes off and your trying to get live updates. stressful...

I feel WBRC weather has improved 100% since Wess has taken over. His knowledge of the geography is just fantastic. It appears Karen has been promoted which is good and greatly adds to Wess's program. Right now I think your weather program is just fantastic

I like the app but one thing that it really needs is a 1x4 or 1x5 or a to buy five widget that has the time and date on it as well as the weather forecast it would make this a much better app to have

Was great, but now I get these verbal alerts that go off constantly even in the middle of the night. Seems a lot like spam. I have had enough.

I check it several times a day for temperature updates, radar in rainy weather & longterm forecast for making plans. Very helpful app!

This is the only weather app I use. I really do like it and always know it will warn me about the weather. All the people are are very professional and do a do a great job !

The July 13 update broke the app for me. S21 Ultra. Cannot get the app to follow me anymore. Tried clear cache and data reinstall and checked all permissions. Permissions were going. The icing on the cake was the new announcement notifications about a new station alert. They are out of control and I, like others have stated, had limited success at remediating them. I have uninstalled the app. I will check back for future updates. If they resolve these issues I will reinstall.

I'm glad I can look at the weather radar whenever I want, especially when the clouds look dark. I always like to be aware!

Love this app! Always keeps me updated on bad weather and conditions

I got an alert for Tornado watch, so I opened the app. The ads loaded quickly. The rest of the page took quite a bit longer. Once it did load, the app froze. When it works, its a great app. But it does me no good, if it doesn't work consistently.

Weather alerts keep turning on automatically. I want to choose only the severe alerts I want. I do not want daily notifications. It used to not do this. Deleted the app and reloaded and doing the same. Have to keep turning notifications off. Sent an email to fox6 weather and they have not responded. Frustrating

I like that I can pull up the weather hourly if I need to. It even tells you time of sunrise and sunset.

Liked the app until it started verbally announcing, news alerts, at random times including the middle of the night. Can't find a way to turn the verbal alerts off but still receive server weather alerts in the form I choose. Will reinstall if the developers remedy this issue and let me know in a reply.

Good app,because we don't have cable or satellite, always good reception!

I could be in the minority here, but I don't think a news stations weather ap should have ads! When there are severe weather warnings and you download the app because your power went out, the download, the app, and the video playback shouldn't be slowed down or compromised by ads!

Too many pointless/useless alerts. I know I can turn the alerts off in the settings, and I'm likely to do that soon. At which point I'll probably die (peacefully) in a tornado because I'm so sick of my phone going off from all the useless notifications.

Notification screen 3/4 filled with messages about rain nearby etc. Can't swipe to clear nor access settings icon from notification shutter screen. Pushing all other notifications down out of view. Like having very local weather but this may be too much keep the app. Oh and lose the ads!

3 stars because I love all the information I get in this app, but very disappointed that I don't get the alerts anymore. No matter what I do I just can't get it to work. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling. It used to work like a charm. I am currently looking for another app that will sound off alerts.

It won't stay open for me to use it. It was working well, now it's glitchy and won't stay opened. I've removed and reinstalled 4 times. No change. Have a tornado warning today.... guess I'll wing it. Installed the update today 5/5/21.... same result. 😒

Like the app it's easy to use, gave it 3 stars due to the fact you have to always open the app to update and the temperature want stay on the notification bar display. Overall it's a good app.

This is the best and most accurate weather app ive ever used and the radar is the best. And you wont have to worry about any weather in your area because fox 6 will notify you if rain, lightning, storm, tornado or any kind of weather is around your area. I use the app multiple times daily.
