WBTV 3 Local News

Forced to watch 6 minutes of commercials before I can view. So, I've missed the first 6 minutes of their programming. I don't have this problem if using my antenna. And I watch free that way. Hate the app.

The commercials play, very loudly, automatically when you open an article. I've tried repeatedly to turn them off but they continue to play.

Old app was quick, only issue was recycling old news. Now in the last week or so it's all new!! And it's slow, except for the Bojangles ad right at the beginning. Then it's slow to load, then you have to select another window. This screen says loading, and never does. Even the odd time you do see what you want, you're tired of waiting. Return to 1994, with this worthless thing; when they had a good one already.

Terrible, your old app was very good this one is terrible. Skips from one video to the other before the one you're looking at is finished. Cannot successfully change to big screen it continues to go back and forth or once you get it on a bigger screen you can't see all of the screen it's too big . I'm using my Pixel 3 XL so it could be the phone that it doesn't do that on YouTube

This latest update is the PITS!! Everything is slow and takes forever to load. The interface is horrible. Its confusing to navigate. The home page is weird.. It keeps crashing. Pages don't load at all. Revert it back. This was a fail!

Used to be a good app. Now, everything they push is "Breaking News". Receiving multiple alerts a day, for stories that shouldn't be "breaking". Why have a "trending" option if you don't use it? Layout is terrible, links go to the homepage. So, I uninstalled it. Take my advice, skip this app .

Although I no longer watch local news, WBTV is my channel of choice to follow to keep up with local and national news. The most recent app update has rendered the app useless. I get a breaking news alert that opens to a blank screen. Do better!

The content is a great source for local news! The 3-star rating is due to the fact that if you share a story through their link, it defaults to the homepage. As a result, if you share a story, you have to separately provide the title so the person receiving your share can look it up. :(. Please make sharing direct links to your stories available so we can share your content easier!

They basically ruined a good app. Flashing banners, video ads playing automatically, they added everything bad about mobile apps. It even seems like the stories are updated less frequently.

Worst app I've ever installed. It's so loaded down with ads it can't function properly. It hangs up and cuts off continuously. Never again.

I don't mind change but new app update is bad enough I'm gonna uninstall it. Slower, jittery, get blank screens when loading a story. I've had wbtv app for years. The only local news app I've had but guess I'm gonna find someone else now 😞

I liked this app a lot when I first downloaded it, then COVID happened. Since then it has been non-stop fear mongering and this organization is partly responsible for the restrictions and control over people in this state. I will now delete this app as I do not need to know every single person that catches the flu or has allergies. 3,000 cases out of 10,000,000 people and this app acts like the world is ending. Enough fear mongering.

Now it's gotta go! Didn't use this app too much to begin with, too many ads and not very 'news' oriented (too many fluff pieces). The new update now wants access to my phone and camera!? Why, what for? Uninstalled!

Can't find how to turn the volume off.. when I am in a room with others I don't want to turn the audio off on each story. I want tobe able to just read the news. Is there a way to only have the audio when you want it?

Not impressed with latest upgrade. Slow to load, too many ads in relationship to content. Seriously thinking about finding another source for regional news.

Horrible. Someone dug up ten year old graphics, layout and ads and decided it would be a good idea. Uninstalled after using old app for years.

The new app is terrible. Uninstalled it recently. You can't even open the app without ads appearing first. App resets while reading a story.

One of the best local news apps just got ruined. Way too many ads for comfort. Fix it! Deleting if not addressed in the next update.

Difficult to navigate. So many ads compared to news content. A poorly designed website.

Since last update, it takes forever for the app to open. I'll wait a short period of time but with this delay I just close it and go to something else.

Horrible. Auto plays ad videos very loud, and no way to silence or stop them. Interface very poor.

What did you do? This app is absolutely terrible, slow, jumps around needs alot of work....change in this case was not good.

I miss the old app. I just want to read the latest local news, not hear it! And there are way too many ads. Please go back to the old app.

After reading many reviews i decided to keep looking for better news apps or waiting for the news on tv. Im just shocked with wbtv i wished it was as good as on tv.

way worst than the old app..all ads and comercials even ads before app opens and ads play for every article opened to read .. probably about money.

more of history app than news. not updated much on weekends. Advertising trap. Ads start playing just by scrolling headlines
