Generally, I like the availability of the app. Lately, the live stream defaults with captions. I have to turn them off each time. Annoying. What's worse are commercial breaks. It doesn't steam the network feed. We are forced to watch the same commercials with every break, MULTIPLE TIMES! It's too painful to use. watching one commercial three times per break, every break, will ensure I won't be buying that product or service.
Best feature is the traffic alerts. You can also watch or read local news. Worst feature is the click bait advertisements that resemble news stories that could accidentally be mistaken for a real WCAX story. It's a trashy tabloid aspect of their app and actually deters me from using the app more frequently.. Especially when other news apps provide the same local and national content with an occasional commercial and refrain from all the clutter of gimmicky advertisements that clutter the page.
Good news app as far as the stories go and reporting ect. However, this app has loading issues..bad..I have a brand new galaxy, I have several other news apps that open right away. This app needs work, I'm not the only one..several other people I know have loading issues as well. Please fix or im deleting. Particularly the weather radar app just spins and spins.
Without access to news coverage via TV or cable, I rely on news apps to keep abreast of current events. However this app CRASHES every time I click on a photo! Have tried this in both android and apple devices... its the app, not the device. Also not happy with all the grammar and typos in the stories. Come on people you're supposed to be journalists, don't they teach you how to proof your stories anymore? Fix these and you'd get a much higher review.
I get a white loading screen when I click on news. Haveing this issue for several months now. Contacted developer and no resolution.
Sometimes video doesnt work properly, sometimes slow to update/add stories, but for local news app pretty darn good. VPR frequently sources WCAX on the radio.... they must be doing something right.
They always say, "to find out more check out our app" but there never is any more to the story. I find it annoying that after suffering through all the adds, many stories lack any kind of follow up.
They broke the WCAX weather stand alone app so I had to download this. It sux. Lots of bugs and only gives the hourly forecast for 36 hours. Also the forecast it gives doesn't even agree with the one that they show on their broadcast half the time
This app has been glitchy the past week with some guys voice starting a few seconds in and stopping at random times. I Uninstalled it and will try to install again later.
Push a notification to you but when you click on it you're taken to completely different topic and you never get to the pushed news store. Very very poor app.
WCAX app is terrible. On the live feed they play the same 4 commercials over and over,even the same commercial 3 times in a row. Then they have about 4 min of news and back to commercials. This company needs to stop being so greedy and actually report the news.
For 52 years I have been raised on the WCAX 3 News, for weather, news, sports to help guide my daily living. With having the WCAX 3 News App, Its like having that guiding hand I can hold onto for support, Or having that familiar friendly face available to ask a question, or for help, when planning my life's next obstacle or choice. Thank you to my Mom & Dad who always turned on the Channel 3 WCAX News at 6:00 pm. Because its like having part of my family with me and next to me with the app.😊
Videos rarely play. When finished with a news story it returns back to top of page when using back button.
It's great substitute when i cantwatch the morning news. I can check school closing anytime. Special alerts when sometime happens.
It use to give you the news, now no matter what you try to open in this app it gives nothing but useless ads, you never see any news.
This app STINKS. Light fonts on light background. To many adds. Just as bad as their tv news. The NBC5 app is way better.
It's buggy, and isn't very well put together. I think with a little bit of time spent in the app it could actually be worth something but as of right now it's just not very good.
Cannot open this app on my Galaxy Tab A. But it works perfect on my phone! Love it for local notifications!
I deleted this app I don't know what you did to it but it's HORRIBLE!!! It just spins or shuts it's self down or gots to the WISH app. PLEASE FIX IT!
Installed and opened the app. Closes immediately. Trash app🙄🤷♀️
I'm a born and raised Vermonter. Grew up with WCAX. Wouldn't trust my News and Weather to anyone else. Excellent app and TV station!!!

When it works, it's great! Most often it does not load. It keeps spinning
I can't get the app to open and when it does it is riddled with ads.
Would like the app if it loaded. Everytime I go to the app it opens wcax but never loads
its ok just want quicker school delays or closings u type it in and it sends to to different places and news
Loved this app at first now it is nothing but adds and junk. Too many links to outbrain and other complete trash
When you click on the news you cannot read the news. You get a loading circle on a white background. App is completely useless. I have sent many emails they always blame my devices however app doesn't work on any of my Android devices. Honestly Call Google play. Apps like this can be removed from the play store
