The reviews are true. The pop-up ads are constant. Better to just read WCF online than through this app.
The ap was working fine until about the last week (5/2019) when it kept restarting by itself. I uninstalled and reinstalled it with no luck. I hope it gets fixed soon! Update 7/2019 I purchased an online subscription for $5 a month to view the Courier -- good investment -- and coincidentally the app works fine now!
There are so many pop ups! And I continually have to log back in. The site does not remember my log in, and it often takes three attempts. I have called the office and was told that Chrome no longer supports viewing on my laptop. I also have problems on my Android phone. For the high fee that we pay yearly for the Courier, I expect better service. From the reviews below, most people are quite disgruntled. Please find a new web developer who knows how to fix these issues!Thank you!
keeps restarting and does it so quick its not hardly enough to read the titles to select the article you want to read. At its current state it's a waste of phone space. Upgrade and I'll come back around.
Do not give this app any thought! The pop ups are SO out of control it's a complete waste of time!! Even as a FORMER subscriber the amount of pop ups are so annoying that a person cannot read 30 seconds without getting pop ups blocking the page. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS APP!!!
With all the ads on this app people shouldn't have to all of the sudden have to subscribe and pay! It's ridiculous
Constant crashing on Galaxy s10+. Still won't work in landscape only mode on tablet.
I love the obituary section. Although I'm out of state it helps me to keep up with the passing of many friends Associates and people I grew up with. Keep up the good work

It's a wonderful app! Very appreciative of Courier's site. I have Parkinson's. I can read what's up without newspaper shaking & making it hard to read due to my tremors. Thank You.
I don't mind ads in app but these are awful to deal with, makes reading the news unpleasant.

I don't get the newspaper because I don't read it everyday so this app keeps me informed on what's going on with updates. Really glad I have it.
The service is alright, but when you bring the latest news, it is almost all sports. You mean to tell me there is no other news? If I want sports news, I already have an app for that. Try putting more local news on.
This is a great way to keep up on local happenings in the Waterloo-Cedar Falls area. The ads are very irritating, especially on a slower device. I don't mind ads, but they take forever to load.
Born and raised in waterloo now living in Arizona this app keeps me up to date with what is going on back home ..I read the courier first thing every morning ..thank you
Have problems with alerts having no content when I touch to see information, but for the majority of time I read a lot of articles and get up to date information on local happenings.
Other than not being able to download newer version, it has been a great app
The Courier has great stories that I can read whenever I want to. So convenient online.
Being able to keep up with my hometown news is great.
New update doesn't work. Why fix it if its not broke. 💩
The app has been working fine for a long time, until the update on 5/21. Now I have to really zoom in to read the bottom of the page. I cannot just scroll down. The pink triangles that link the articles to another format of the same article are super annoying. I just want to read the paper in paper format. Also with the most recent update it's near impossible to move back and forth across one page.
