WCQS is listener-supported community public radio for Western North Carolina. We are committed to enhancing the quality of life in WNC by: Expanding listeners' horizons through new perspectives and listening experiences; Promoting the free and independent interchange of ideas and information; Enriching and reflecting the cultural climate, heritage and traditions of our region and society though classical and other music, and the arts. WCQS offers programming from National Public Radio (NPR) and Public Radio International (PRI) as well as locally-hosted music and talk programs.

Reliable! When connection is weak sound skips

Why all of a sudden is the vertical view now locked in for Android devices? I always use horizontal for all my viewing, and your BPR app has now become useless. As a result I must access through my browser in order to land on WCQS, which of course means about 10 extra clicks to arrive at my desired radio stream compared to your amateurish app.

The app works much better than the radio reception I get in Canton. When I worked in Asheville, I went through three different stations on my commute. But using the website is not intuitive.

Sometimes the phone starts to play the live program when I did not turn it on. Frequently the program I am streaming stops and I have to turn it on again.

I'm grateful for the app since BPR news is not yet available in Black Mountain, but it does tend to freeze frequently which is extremely irritating.
