The app never loads,I must delete it and reload every time. Android phone,no problem with other apps.

The old app was better. It has since moved to more of a web based app and now it gives you spam notifications, of which, some you can not get out of without closing the app. When you do not get a "Congratulations, you're a winner!" notification, it is a blank screen, and when you go back, it takes you to the home page. I have been using Live 5 for about seven years.... They have about a week left before I delete it. Hopefully News 2 will be better.

UPDATE: They fixed the auto play on videos. Yeah! Bumped up to 3 stars. Will see if spamming or blank screen persists or is fixed as well to up rating again. I loved this app and gave it a 5 star review. But now it's terrible!! While reading articles, they will disappear to a white screen and when you hit the back button it will take you to the home screen. Also, videos auto playing is annoying. I'd rather read the articles and this frustrates me. Finally, I am constantly getting spammed.

Crashes constantly. The old app worked just great, the update which, has been out long enough to fix it, is horrible. I can open a story long enough to read the headline and maybe what city the story is from before it goes to a blank screen. Already had channel 4 app and now I downloaded channel 2. There are also more ads and some of them don't let you close them without clicking on them.

Ads got crazy and notifications began repeating themselves after they were dismissed, multiple times. Had this app for years and it used to be very user friendly. Go with News 2 app, it's far less annoying and in my experience over the past few years, the notifications/stories are nearly identical so no loss to information received even having the one fewer news app.

I try to watch a video and I can't watch it unless some of it is cut off.. No matter how I turn my phone the video is cut off. You can't enlarge the video. Honestly I wouldn't bother with this app. I'm never able to read half the articles they notify me about because once I click the notification it doesn't take me to the story, just the home page. There's no search bar so you have to scroll if you want to try and find that story. Just all in all don't waste the phone storage.

I love the ability to get news surrounding my county and low country very fast! My main issue is every time I watch anything I get an ad and lately it plays audio of the ad at the same time my selected article is playing. Very frustrating so now I actually read the text instead of watching the video because of this major issue! If the ads were not so heavy and intrusive I would live it! Please remedy this wcsc! The giant add that pops up before every story and has to be manually closed is obnoxiously intrusive. Another problems is about half of the time I select an article a blank page loads with the Live 5 News header at the top of the page that no amount of reloading the story will fix. The old app worked better and was far more stable. I've had only problems from this new web-based app.

This app freezes or disappears altogether. Videos start unprompted. Layout is cumbersome. Old app worked very well. New app is just an updated appearance but functions below par. A bunch of "bells and whistles". Please fix app. I'm ready to get rid of it.

The old app worked so much better. It's frustrating to be reading a story and not being able to finish it because the screen whites out. The banner is still across the top so I know I'm still in the Live5 app. I have to close the app and come back later.

Liked the old one better. New app is too chopped up and I definitely don't like trying to find a story and getting a video that automatically plays, in the middle of the night when everything is quite. Old app had more actual stories.

The last update had numerous crashes and I almost uninstalled but didn't. Now with the latest one, I cannot deal with it. I will truly miss "reading" the news with my morning coffee, but this is a horrible format. Bye bye Channel 5, hello channel 2! 😢😢😢

Post update the app has frequent crashes. While I like the attempt at streamlining the apps content but with the number options and sections, the page appears too busy to the end-user. Keep it simple, Keep it clean! Just my $0.02 😀

Videos (both content and ads) playing automatically makes for an unsatisfying user experience. I *used* to use this app for local news...but will search elsewhere. Also takes more clicks to get to content (compared to previous version).

The old app was better laid out and was at least quicker. Even though no one has used splash screens since 2007 at least the old app wouldn't waste 30 seconds opening up. This garbage is so frustratingly poorly laid out and slow I don't even bother using it anymore. Who developed this garbage? Feels like I'm in the last decade.

The latest format and update are just terrible. You can't find the stories you want and it just doesn't function as well as the old one. It looks cool now and that's about it. I'm uninstalling after having this app for 5+years.

GPS function in the app is not even close to where I actually am. It thinks I'm 1000 yards off the side of the road, plus the traffic shows Fast while I'm sitting in the midst of not moving traffic. Clearly not being updated very well or at all.

With this latest update the app opens a blank screen on my phone with the Live 5 News logo at the top. The old one worked just fine for me. I have the Galaxy Note 9. Update: the app works when you uninstall, then reinstall.

Old app was much better. App is glitchy, slow, and clicking on notifications takes you to an add, followed by the home page where it's impossible to find the story that the notification was for.

Can't stand the 25sec ad before each video. Every time I click a news story video to watch it, I get a stupid Candy Crush saga looking screen that can't be bypassed and lasts for 25secs. Enough of this, I'm downloading a different local news app!

App crashes every time you try to read an article. I used to read the news all the time on there but it's completely worthless after the last update. I will be uninstalling the app.

The new app. stops me from expanding the photos, why?? I can't make out the details even with my reading glasses! When the police or news are asking for help to identify someone in a photo and you can't zoom in, good luck!

The old app started working great, now the new app isn't good at all. When ever you open a story, you can barely read the headline before the screen goes blank.

Does not work after they updated it at all

Lot of bugs with thus app. Constantly freezes up when opening. Changed to one star because the app won't even open now. Crashes all the time. Have uninstalled it.
