WD Notifications spoken
Voice Commands lets you control your device, make calls, and send text messages.
This service captures phone notifications and uses the text-to-speech tool (TTS TextToSpeech) to inform them in spoken form.(brief or detailed)
Pre-set voice commands in Spanish or English only using Android voice recognition (Google Voice Search)..(answer, hang up, text to , call to, hour or find in Google).
Use of power keys, volume, headset button and shake to control functionality quickly and easily.
? Use settings to enable / disable each notification.You can also choose the audio mode where they will be spoken (headset, speakers, allways or none) for short or detailed notifications.
? Remember to activate from the program menu or from the device configuration the accessibility WDService to receive spoken notifications.(Settings->Accesibility->WDservice)

Excellent app with responsive developer. Works very well with my Galaxy S22 Plus on Android 12. Would just love a choice of how much of a message to play (the choice between brief and detailed reports is too big). Some of the settings are a little confusing too, but I've pretty much figured it out. I have tried many similar apps and this is so far the best.
Very complicated (could be "deep" if was done right) app that often does not work as expected. Tells the name of the app and the content without any stops in between which confuses. When a notification is received during music - the music becomes quieter but the spoken notification does as well, cancelling the idea and not enabling listening to the spoken notification. Call announcement doesn't work at all. Needs some revamp.
5 STARS! I can't believe it! Finally an announcer that announces notifications, text, phone Etc and it is the only one that works on Android 10! good job! It establishes itself as a service! . I just hope that this text-to-speech reader doesn't stop working like all the others. Has a (detail bar) in settings, shows it's been on for 18 hours and 3 minutes, also shows any problems that are not working like voice recognition. This developer is absolutely thinking ahead!
The good - it will read your incoming whatsapp messages over bluetooth. The not good - it doesnt pause the existing audio just plays alongside it. It also interferes with your bluetooth connection such that no audio info is passed through - so it will display as unknown audio with unknown duration. You also will be unable to use bluetooth controls to pause, play, or otherwise control the audio - forcing you to fish your phone out each time. The final poke in the eye is it often wakes the phone.
Great app. The only major drawback is that it renders phone alarms function practically useless by constantly muting it. Could you kind fix this by allowing maximum volume level whenever an alarm is to be triggered? Thanks.
UPDATE: change from one star to five stars. Just read someone else's five-star review, and I realized that I did not try since the update in february. This works very well because it establishes itself as a service and an app. It also has a details page which tells you what is working and what is not which is kind of like a debug log that's within the app. To make it easier to tell the developer what's wrong.

This App is really great, Thanks and God it's the best so far.
After I installed and set it up, it switched my phone calls to speakers, regardless of what the speaker button on the call was set at, AND it spoke through the phone speakers even when connected to my car bluetooth. Had to uninstall.
Only app I could get to work with android 11 reading WhatsApp/SMS over car bluetooth. Plus no annoying permanent notification on status bar etc. I've tried them all, paid and free. This one is the best!! Thanks dev!
(Wow) I don't see what the fuss is all about this app is working perfectly for me, the reason why some people are complaining is because they don't know how to set it up or don't understand how it works(I do) it's a brilliant app & I've using it for 12 months & I'm loving it, it tells u everything while the phone is in your pocket its(epic)great job u guys & thanks❤❤❤👈👍😃😃😃
Couldn't get app to work properly. Never read the SMS message. Erroneously repeated "message from" twice. Uninstalled.
I love the status report, something other apps don't offer. I haven't fully utilize the app but it sure has a lot of surprises.

Wow such a nice app Great work👏👏 Sir please change Bluetooth percentage scale from 1 to 100, right now it increases by 10% fold, even at 10% I feel pain in ear such loud, please change percentage scale to flexible so that any percentage volume number can be adjusted. Thank you, I will remove this part , when you will update the app.

Everything is working fine except caller name. It reads sms, WhatsApp messages but it doesn't announce caller name. Please resolve this issue.
I have used this app about two months,After update when call is coming that ring volume automatically decreased,So I do not understood. Please help me for solution.
1. Speaker too loud needs volume turning down. 2. Telephone number to have an option to not read out in wotsapp
Not bad but seems to play with volume on whatsapp calls and keep muting the phone notification tone.

The app work fine
The app is good and no doubt top among the rest but my reason for uninstalling is that it made my phone to be speaking out loud, it provided me no way to manage the volume either to reduce or to increase it. The spoken notification became so loud that it became a nuisance. So I have to uninstall. But if you can provide a means to stop the app from hijacking phone speaker, I will give you 5* or even 100* because you deserve it
