Requires wifi, rather than using onboard irda (infrared, like on remotes), from device, Android has a class or function call for this, please use it? Cannot even choose device without being attached to wifi. If I have a few of these in different rooms, all on same network, I'd like each to signal different ones based on where I point my phone. I'd also like for friends/guest-networked phones to work without adding them to a more secure side of my networks where things like media shares may lay vulnerable.
It's 2021 and it works for the wdtv live. You'll have to connect ityour phone to the same network as the wdtv live, though you can connect a keyboard to it initially to do this. Thanks for making this software.
App freezes at the 'choose your device' screen. Apparently this is a problem found in some 1-star reviews from 2019. This app appears hit or miss. Try your luck, but don't get your hopes up.
regularly cannot find media player and fails to connect. we have 2 players and only way to switch is to uninstall and reinstall app.
Without the ability to turn on the WD Live from this remote app, this app is worthless Now I'm forced to get off the couch to do it. If that's the case, why have a remote app at all?
It is snappy and does the job for we TV live device. One thing bugs me - cannot find subtitles option which is a must for me.
Doesnt work with my WD Live Hub. it is connected to the network. my dvd player sees it but this app cannot.
This app does exactly what I needed, a remote for my old WD Live TV box. Works great for what I need!
half the features are missing. the iOS app is much much better than the Android app. I guess the android developers just gave up half way thru.
I guess it works better on ios. It works fine on my ipad and iphone but not on my android devices. Hope you can resolve this issue.

I don't seem to have the problems others are having with this. I lost the physical remote for my WD TV Live box, so this APP was very useful and works fine for me. Tip = If you lose your "proper" remote and need to set up your WD TV live box, simply plug a normal USB computer keyboard into it = it works and allows you to enter your network details etc.
