WDlxTV MediaPlayers Remote

Immediately detected my WD TV live the second I opened the app. connected immediately after that, and works flawlessly so far. design could use a little overhaul, however, after the official app stopped working with Android pie, this is a welcome. Thank you for having this out there. if there are no issues after using this for a few days, going to purchase the ad-free version.

Good. Connected to a WD TV Live media player that had a busted remote. Does the job very well. Sometimes the device is not found on the network, but manualy adding the device with the correct IP adress does the job. Opted for the payed version for a very small amount of $$.

This app is terrible. It did well for awhile....found the media player and remote was OK. After about a few weeks, it would connect, but the remote wouldn't function as it should have. It also stopped connecting, but would let me force connect. After awhile, it stopped connecting and also stopped letting me force connect. The app eventually just started closing out on me, whenever I would try to connect or force connect. Terrible app! Free or not, it shouldn't be this way.

It definitely does exactly what it's supposed to! Free with Ads beats having no remote because your child decides to throw it away without a care in the world.

Works OK. Easier to use than original remote. Still miss some more stuff to get quicker to all the WD features.

Way better than the WD app. Always reconnects after I come back home (the WD would forget the device and need to be reset)

Early days but seems fine and an improvement on the ghastly WD official one.

Poor quality with poor interface and having to access multiple pages to operate this is a very poorly designed app

Absolutely AWESOME APP...but you have to reinstall it once a week😂

This is so much better than the official app from western digital. It scales better on different size screens/orientations, there is WAY less lag from input, and there are far fewer connectivity problems. I would be 120% satisfied if i could figure out how to bring up the app choose per one of the screenshots, but i paid for the donate version anyway.

It was great - it did exactly what it was meant to do, it was easy and always worked. Now the connection lasts 30 seconds and I get a message I must install new firmware on the wdtv to continue. He has changed the connection method so i have to put his firmware on the blackbox to use the app, and it is not as easy as he says it is. I will change back to 5 stars when he changes back the connection method

WD TV remote app does not work on my android marshmallow 6.0.1 phone anymore, so gave this a shot instead. Realized that I should have been using this all along. Much better functionality than WD's app. Shows a seeker/slider to seek to specific part of file, shows file duration, etc that the WD app never did. Great job by the developers of this app!

Works better than wd app and better than stock remote. No need to point at wdtv box. A few random connection issues but I think more my network than this app. And to those whining about no skip page option......check your app again. Select the tiny flip page icon forward or back.

I cannot power on. Power off and everything else works like a charm. It might not even be possible. Thanks for a great app.

But crashes alot especially when orientation is changed. Sometimes take a few refreshes for it to pick up the player. I like the ip display give me assurance it is atleast trying to talk to the correct device.

Great app. Better response times than the 1990s style air con remote that comes with the WD HD. No set up at all involved. Infinitely better than the WD stock app, which I've never been able to get to work.

More robust than WD stock app. However, neither apps have keyboard input working. Please fix and will be 5 stars. Thanks

Works well with my updated wd-tv (unlike official app!) However, the swipe feature to switch between controls sets regularly stops working. Would def donate and 5 stars when fixed.

This is a better option over the media player's remote. Still have a few minor glitches, atleast it works with the latest android versions unlike the official wd tv remote app.

This remote works greater when it does work. I have to uninstall and reinstall the app at least once a week, super annoying.

Was ok, very relible in fact but now refuses to work, open the app tries to search for player then shuts down after 10 seconds, dissappointed

Works better tha n wd's original app yet (on my phone*) it crashes A LOT and only works if deleted and reinstalled. Otherwise is good! Sams. J5 latest adroid ver.

Doesnt recognize my wdtv live plus hd. Using galaxy nexus android 4.2.1
