We Connect Go

Fulfilled chalenges stayed on the home screen as if is still in progress (0%). Did a backup, logged out, removed the app and installed it again. While restoring it stops on 70% and says that the 'data transmission failed', 'a table data connection is needed for data transmission'. Tested it with 2 different WLAN, 4G and still always failing at 70%. How could you guys break the app like this?

It has some good features but seems to have reliability problems. A lot of the time the app will say it is connected when I start the car and is still connected when I switch off but the trip isn't recorded (maybe because phone is connected to car BT also?). Sometimes the features using the phone navigation don't work (due to the signal). I hope they can use GPS data from the car in future. I have all nav features enabled and battery saver off so I'm don't think it's a problem with my phone

Been using the app with no problems for the last year. The constant "updating authorized workshops" was annoying, but it didn't stop the app from working. Overall I was quite happy. But yesterday I got a new phone for christmas and I can't login in to the app on the new phone - the restore of the backed up data always fails at 65%. I see several other people complaining of the same problem, so it's obviously a fairly common issue. A sorry end to what had been a decent app.

Transmission of Data keeps failing. I've recently gotten a new phone and now can't seem to log into the app. When I try, it says Login successful but then the data transmission fails because I need a 'stable Internet connection' - surely the WiFi I use for everything else I need should be sufficient? So now I can't use the app. Used to work okay when I was logged in but now I can't even get to that!

I've used the app for quite a while now and had no issues, except for the annoying updates of authorised dealerships, but I've recently had a new phone and now it doesn't log any data, nor recognise the data plug, so not a lot of use anymore. I can see other users have had the same issue, but VW doesn't appear to have solved it!

The app has it's benefits but not all features work properly. I record my fuel costs but when I amend the cost per litre the app doesn't save my amendments. Like others mine often seems to be updating authorised workshops and never finishes, even though I don't have any recorded. I have booked a service with my VW dealer but don't think I can record this? It would be good to be able to access a historical record of my authorised services, particularly when there is no physical service book.

One year on I have reinstalled the app thinking that it must have improved. Oh well, I can dream. It still gives me nothing that a quick glance at the car dashboard can't give and it still can't record journeys or parking places. (Google is much better at both of those.) It does contain some driving challenges, but if it can't record journeys then these are also useless.

I used to really like this app. The features were good and everything worked as expected. Now it doesn't work half the time, I can't view any trip history and the data backup outright doesn't work. I recently switched phone and after double checking if the backup had completed successfully I transferred to my new device. I no longer have any data from my old phone, only from my phone before that.

App keeps crashing every time a map is displayed (the VW Connect menu, for example). This renders the app completely useless, as the app tries to open the very same screen that crashed the app in the first place. Furthermore, the navigation is very odd, one cannot understand what does the Android back button is going to do, as it does not seem to do what is usual.

Excellent and really very useful. It's showing my driving style and where I need to improve. Enough of data is shown and recorded. The concern is that driving style will get recorded only if you connect your mobile through Bluetooth else you can't see anything if you allow anyone else to drive alone. Overall this is useful for driving enthusiastic people. My suggestion is that it would be very useful if it records the quantity of refuelling automatically and mileage at when we do it.

The August update solved many of the bugs in the previous version (I was unable to use it for a few month previously) but in order to make it work I needed to completely delete it and reinstall it clean. Unfortunately for me, in the process all of my score points and most of my trips were erased from my account. This is unacceptable from an app that it's main purpose is connectivity and data management.

A lot of data can be viewed through this app. But they have set it to unlock it using points achieved by travels and challenges. And practically this is irritation and then the app doesn't solve the purpose at all. And it will take the same points even if you turn off and turn on the same reading by mistake. I've lost a huge number of points because of this app with errors.😠

App is good and providers all the necessary information for the user. However it does not show the proper max speed of the vehicle. For me it always show max speed as 255 km/h which is not correct. This causes frustration while using the app. I have replaced the data plug twice to rule out plug issue. Still the same problem with new data plug. This needs to be fixed aas everything else is fine.

App is generally good I do like some of the features. But some dont really work as well. Such as the fuel detection. When I fill up 80% of the time it'll never detect I've added fuel and 20% of the time itll come up straight away meaning I have to put it in manually everytime which is annoying and time consuming. Also this detection of units happens every time telling me the same thing when I use the app. Doesnt tell me anything about the car as it says it would in terms of warning lights.

it's a nice add on to view driving stats, fuel consumption etc but it's far from accurate. eg it said my last journey of 5.7 miles only took 1 minute! i like the idea of being able to review past journeys, being able to book servicing through the app and all the other things the app can do, but the lack of accuracy is quite annoying. I guess that's down to struggling to cover the all the variables; different cars; in car equipment; different phones etc

Good for managing driving style, helps you calculate your approximate journey costs (Which is good for road trips or car sharing as it makes splitting the fuel cost easier) and allows direct access to vehicle mileage and fuel level without entering the vehicle. Experienced a major glitch, not long after the app came out, where it wiped my data completely however there have only been minor glitches recently where the data plug fails to connect and does not record a journey, sometimes it will show up a day later. Would recommend the app as extra security and better vehicle management.

It's a good app and useful to see wherever Ive been. It has some interesting themes and challenges and I can see how the app can be developed into much more. However the information regarding the cars system is not always true; like saying the tyres need checking; take into an approved dealer. When checked there was nothing wrong. Worries for nothing. Also told me there was something wrong with the steering again nothing. Perhaps teething problems with the app.

The app gives me great insight into my driving, where and how to improve, with real time statistics on shifting gears, braking and speeds. The trip analysis is really good, offering all the necessary numbers from distance to fuel economy. I would most certainly recommend every driver, if your car is compatible to download this app. Its definitely better than pen, paper and a calculator.

Bugs bugs and more bugs. App puts several badges in top line of menu. Cant close trip trip. Have to force close the app. Also another icon saying authorised workshops are being updated., but nothing happens. Deleting this app as it now doesnt establish a connection. Then when it does it drops it and then constantly tries to establish a connection. This app is getting worse!

Had this app for 3 months and it was good until a week ago, it used to connect automatically for every journey, I now have to make sure it connects every time I get in the car so lost interest in it now. I would say it improved my driving style and doing the challenges was fun. Hopefully will use again in the future if it works correctly. Downgraded to one star had issues when using on a 2016 Up, now have a 2019 Polo still hit and miss whether it connects or not, Samsung S7 Edge.

(If flashing:) ESP is regulating.” Hi guys, I spotted this message today and it's not the first time I see it but it's very intermittent. I'm pretty sure it started appearing after one of the updates to the app. Nothing on the dashboard and there seem to be nothing wrong with the car.

Updating this review to say it's been 6 months and the app still crashes constantly. I can't view my trips at all, the app just closes. It's really frustrating and I don't understand how it hasn't been fixed yet. Edit #2, I followed the advice from your response which told me to uninstall the app, then reinstall it - after doing this I can't log in and get the data backup fails.... I tried emailing the developer email you provided, but that doesn't exist... The correct developer email is on the app...
