No access!!! I haven't been able to get into my account through the app for 3 days. It just shows the W, then times out. I have Uninstaller, and re-installed multiple times with no luck..
app is very difficult to use and understand. Returns are very poor compared to even what your bank probably offers (only 5% on their highest-risk extremely volatile option). 2 stars because customer support was quick and very helpful.
This app is ridiculously useless. It just doesn't work at all or make sense. Logged in, won't show me portfolio options at all just gives me one portfolio and I have to open an account and might be able to change the portfolio later. Can't change any personal info, work info, nothing. There isn't even a menu to see different pages or sections of the app, its just garbage.
This app has locked me out of my account for the 5 time in 1 year. Always same issue asking for ID. I supply it it turns back on and locks me out again in a few months. Fix this! It should be free instead of pay.
Terrible experience!!! One accidental click while setting up your account, doesn't let you back and forces you to open a savings account. SCAM!!
I've started the process to create an investment account by mistake, and I cannot come back to the main menu now. I 've also tried to force close or clean up the App data, but I always end up at the step 3 or 4 of the Wizard. The web interface works fine.
So far I'm loving the ease of use and transfer of funds efficiency etc...the interface is really easy to use and highly functional compared to other platforms BUT I recently read the fees are quite a bit higher than other traditional investment platforms so need to look into that further.
I wish I had better things to say about this app, sure it functions, no glitches, but I'm very dissatisfied with the portfolio performance and fees. I expected smarter algorithms and rebalancing, did they really just sell that when it was down? And buy when it was up? Did the logical thing and gave robo advisors a chance, they fail. Disappointed that I paid for this 'service'. I'm charged the same amount in fees each month as I receive in dividends. Been doing fine on my own. Buy Buy! WST FTW
App freezing on load screen. I was pretty happy with Wealthsimple Invest overall but please fix the app. A big part of the appeal was the convenience of an app with simple and intuitive UX... Just needs to be reliable.
Unreliable App. Often hangs while loading and sometimes will not update properly once you manage to open the app (after forced stop). Doesn't give any options as to how data is displayed.
As a investing platform, wealthsimple is great. From an app perspective, not so much. Can only move whole amounts of money, no cents. Last update has caused login issues. I have to enter my passcode, force kill the app, then re open the app to see my account.
Connecting to other banks is too long and often lead to errors, constantly restarting the credentials. Loading times made me fell asleep. Change the Plaid software, its outdated and inefficient.
This app won't make you money. That's the only reason you want this app, right? I got this app at the same time I got the "wealthsimple trade" app, and put $100 in each. "Invest" was a medium risk bot, "trade" was random stocks I found after clicking the first google result. After a year I made $250 randomly trading on "trade" and lost $10 on the robo "invest" app.
The new update is terrible. For starters it isn't intuitive at all. It's much harder to see pretty basic stuff I could see before like my actual return. You really should include year to date as an option and actually show how the rate of return has changed over time other than just a graph. Just showing it on a graph is a waste of time without the context. This isn't new and improved at all. Edit: Three updates since this debacle and they still haven't resolved these concerns.
The original app was very easy to understand, convenient and intuitive. Since the update, the app is quite confusing. Your investment information is no longer readily viewable and you have to scroll quite a ways to see everything. Then, you have to make about 5 clicks to see the relevant information that was on the homepage before. The company itself seems to have great customer service, but I'm unclear as to why they've changed the features of the app that were most appreciated before.
Wealthsimple is good for beginner investors. However, products are very limited and the app needs work. Certain functions can only be done via browser and the app is CONSTANTLY making me go through 2-step verification, even though I'm using the same device on the same network, without VPN. I've setup face recognition, but I have to set it up again every single time it forces me to 2-step verify with a text message. So annoying.
App doesnt work 70% of the time. Terrible design. It worked a few times but now it stays on the splash screen/loading screen. Also when I uninstalled and reinstalled the app it ask for the login and biometric authentication after which it proceeds to the Steps 1 of 4 in setting up a new account. Are you kidding me? This is not a new account already and it's stuck on that page which have been done multiple times already. Frustrating experience.
It's a pretty good service - I recommended it. Support is quite good and they are attentive. But they've got to keep working on the app. There's a few glitches to the app that are annoying. Specifically, the 0.0 balance issue in the drop down menu when you toggle accounts. They just have not been able to get that one right yet. So keep working on the app, guys. Otherwise, keep up the good work. Lots of great financial products and services accessible to the common working class man, like me.
The review is about app, not money. I give it 4 stars for fast and convenient. Enough information to understand what is going on, projection graph is good. I cannot give it 5 stars due to usability of graphs. All the recent transactions are always on the right edge of the screen, no matter how high or low level. This means the last 2 ml of the screen. And there often is a curve of the screen and/or edge of the phone cover. This means hard to use. This means your testers got to be fired :)
The app is great overall, however I've had an issue setting up my auto round up. The option was there but now that I've set up auto deposit it's gone and not accessible. I've reached out to support twice still nothing.. this was well over a week ago, if I haven't received help by the end of the week I will be removing all my funds and dropping it to a one star rating. An app is nothing without a good support team behind it. I would love to have this fixed so I can give you the 4 star i would!
Great app for managing your Wealthsimple accounts. The UI is clean and intuitive, and it has almost everything you need. Transferring to and from your WS accounts is easy and fast. Overall a great experience. Slight problem I've encountered: You cannot transfer between Cash and Invest on the app, only online as of now. Not really that big of an issue
Thank you for reaching out. Seems like the issu has been fixed. Used it for 2 days and have no problems anymore. Love it so far, however a lot of times unable to log into the ap. The option for finger scan does not appear and thats happaning a lot. Tried to restart my phone and still the same thing. Turned data off and on still happening.
Wealthsimple is great in my opinion. Obviously, nobody will become a millionaire after investing a small amount, but I think their work is fantastic for those like me, who do not have the necessary knowledge to invest in the financial market independently and with some security. The app could have some more friendly and easy to understand graphics, it often seems too simple to show the evolution of the investment, where the money is, etc. A friendlier interface would make the job perfect.
Good app to start saving. Would like better/clearer explanation regarding my portfolio. The auto invest of spare change does work. Am very tempted to open a cash account but I think I'll hold off until it's more than just a "prepaid visa" style of payment. It would be inconvenient to forget to load up money and look broke at checkout trying another card. Nice clean UI. I think the autopilot could do a much better job. Anyways, worth it guys. GET IT ON REFERENCE.
Was alright till now. Can't get into the app anymore. Had my password remembered on the app..now it's not there. Can't reset my password tried probably 50 times. Won't send me the link in my email. Sent an email to support haven't done nothing to resolve this. If and when I get into the app I will probably pull my money and cancel. Very frustrating! I could be losing money right and I have no way of knowing. You guys need to do better.
Started using wealthsimple a few weeks ago. Overall system is intuitive and simple to set up. Customer service - a bit lagging. e-mails go unanswered, unable to reach by phone etc. I think they are going through some growing pains as they scale. Guys - i commend what youve accomplished so far, but im hesitant to move more assets over because of this. my $0.02 - customer service isnt something you want to go light on in the early days.
Already several important bugs (really wrong numbers shown, corrected later, but still panic inducing). The 15 min delay is strange, I never know if I am buying and selling the price of 15 ago or the price of now. So I guess it's more for relaxed long-term investing. Still, clean and simple interface (though not very functionnal). Still, overall, it's positive.
Loved the app until the new layout. Currently, the most important information displayed is how much I've deposited into an account. To find out how the account is performing requires scrolling down, tapping on the account I want to find out about, then tapping on history. Somehow this information isn't important at a glance? Great app, horrible new layout. If it's going to remain we need to be able to set which information we care about on our dashboard.
updating my review after being contacted by Wealthsimple customer service. They were quick to address the issue I had where I would get stuck in a loop trying to access my profile. So I am enjoying the clean simple interface. it gets the job done and is in line with the overall "stick with the basics" investing strategy.
Errors on opening account. Uninstalled the app to try again. Still issues. I've never gotten past the log in and make account phase on this app but have an account on my computer under the same email. What's going on here
