Why Pray? In his book, The Weapon of Prayer, Edward Bounds states: "The life of the individual believer, his personal salvation, and personal Christian graces have their being, bloom, and fruitage in prayer." As a chaplain in the Confederate States Army during the Civil War, Bounds initiated weekly prayer sessions to strengthen the spiritual state of his local area. His wisdom has impacted Christ-seekers for decades, and his words are as powerful now as they were in the 1800's. Bounds reminds us that throughout Biblical history, many of God's greatest movements were incited by the prayers of God's people. According to Bounds, prayer must be a priority. Other Christian duties, such as sacred works, communion, and church activities, cannot and should not take the place of prayer. To eliminate prayer from our daily lives is to abandon communication with God. It is through prayer that we have the opportunity to share our deepest sorrows, joys, and desires with the only one who can truly comfort us. To remind readers that God's presence steadfastly endures, Bounds concludes his piece by providing modern examples of the power of prayer.

always on hand to feed and Inspire one on a daily basis...in times of need, joy in fact any time even at night. sometimes the king James version is difficult to fully comprehend however it's just a blessing to reach out to first thing in the morning. Also wish there was a concordance with it. Brilliant app anyway
Have been a fan of E.M. Bounds since 1975 after being lent one of his books by a fellow minister. Bounds lifts one up into the very atmosphere of prayer. He instructs on prayer by the examples of others and the wonderful results. As soon as I could I purchased the collected works on prayer by Bounds. It is great to finally have one of his books at least for the phone. Hoping for some more freebies (hint, hint) 😇.

It's no use not having having a night mode function and formattable text.You have a great spiritual work there, but it's useless not being accassible.

isus love the readings on prayer and prayer always changes thing. It also teaches us how to pray and what prayer does for us.

I hope that the developers of this app could again allow the download of others books on prayer by Dr. E. M Bounds; it used to be possible with the previous version. This app is awesome!
it need data for u to able to read. it doesnt say anything about prayer. i thought it was a book. it good dt it has a bible.

Fantastic,only that i would have suggested that each chapter carries a heading or title.
certainly interesting - helps one if they have an open mind to want to learn.
Good audio does not work arrow is there. Please add cross references.

I just downloaded this app, and have not had enough time to use it, before I rate it! However, because of the intrusive asking to rate it, I will give it 4 stars, because so far I love the smooth voice and clarification. However, it would be nice to be able to write notes, highlight scriptures, and have a place where I can save scriptures in this App. Otherwise, I would give it 5 stars without a doubt! Good App!
