Though on my Huawei Watch the edges of the screen are white, which is pretty wasteful in terms of battery life on an OLED display. Can you render those pure black instead (maybe as a premium feature)?

Exactly as described. I had doubts about how usable chess on a watch would be but it works excellently! If you like chess, this app is a must. Awesome!

Crashes on installation!! Don't buy
Ai still unresponsive at times and sometimes takes really long to move on the moto 360 2nd gen.
