Theoretically there's nothing wrong with the app; the user watches adds for a few pennies. The problem is to make it work, you need lots of adds; rn you're lucky to get one a week. App needs more patrons. Add to that the 30 day waiting period to transfer funds, and the creepy data-mining, and the user is essentially in a situation where they're waiting a month to transfer bugger-all. At this point, the user starts to ask, "Is this app really worth the hassle?" My conclusion is no, it isn't.

This app was suggested by EE. It looked like a brilliant idea to get money off my phone bill but it has unfortunately turned out to be a bit of a damp squib. I'm lucky to get one ad a day which is nowhere near the two mins a day advertised. They show the same few ad's repeatedly. I've lost count of the amount of times I've seen the Nando's ad now they have started emailing looking for investors. If you can't get the first bit right WeAre8 why would I want to invest my own money to support you?

It says change the world in 2 minutes a day, I really wish there were 2 minutes of adverts every day. Great idea, love everything it stands for, I just wish more companies would get involved. I can't comment on payouts as I haven't seen £1 worth of adverts yet. Hopefully more companies will get onboard soon!

It's a good app and it's nature friendly it pays you for ads when you watched it then gets you to comment your honest opinion like a survey you can get paid 6 up to 10 cents when you watch an advert small percentage gets taken out of it to go to charity it's a good app and it does pay you but you can't lift it out until 30 days which is good for people that have problems saving up like myself kind of like a virtual piggy bank but gives you free money just for watching an adverts it's a win🙂

The link to watching branded videos doesn't appear and I am timed out constantly. The rotation of the number eight is constant and never changes or takes you to the VT as it had done before. I have been waiting for up to 10 minutes on occasions before trying to refresh or reload the page, only to face the same issue's. Can someone sort this out please or offer a remedy? It's been happening for over two weeks now and I am losing out on earnings through some kind of glitch or program error.

It is telling me to download or update the app. I have the app, but it won't let me watch the videos anymore. Really enjoyed this app in the past but now it's not useable which is really sad. There is no update available and even after uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I can't access the videos.

Terrible app. It's a great idea but executed poorly. Once you watch a video you can't just easily go to you other unwatched videos. Also I know it's for a good cause but paying 1p or 3p to watch the same video I've seen multiple times just isn't worth anyone's time.

Sadly, I'm only getting new videos to watch now and again, some times 1 week apart. I also get notifications stating I have a new video and when I try and watch it, it tells me 'new videos are coming soon'. Great concept but it's not there yet. It's taken 4 weeks to get £1.36 (pending) in my account.

We are 8 , get paid for watching adverts . Why hasn't this been through of before? We all get constantly battered with adverts, and the revenue goes to the platform from which it's viewed. We are 8 give the viewer ad revenue AND a portion goes to charity. The revenue I received can be put towards my EE phone bill or direct into my PayPal. I personally put mine to one of the many charities available on the app. I'm not rich see it as people in the world are worse off than me so why not help them

UPDATE. since leaving my original review I've now started receiving a few more biddies to watch. Still not enough really but better than it was. Don't bother. Hardly any videos to watch. Get notifications to say a new video is available only to find it tells me to check back later as none available.

Since the update before last I can't view any videos, it just tells me to install or update the app. No reply from WeAre8 yet and it's been a few weeks. Shame as it worked flawlessly before that! EDIT: I think you need to look into your email system too, as there are a few people saying you've not replied!

Honestly from what ive seen so far this app is pretty good and doesnt deserve much of the bad reviews it seems to be getting just because the app is new and has alot of area's to grow upon instead of the regular social media that most of the populous are used to, furthermore im glad the app has issues because it means that there will be fresh stuff to see for the coming future. I wish the best for the team running WeAre8 and hope that the app becomes as big as instagram Signed, Yuno.

The app used to work well, now it keeps telling me to download or update the app, i have actually deleted the app and reinstalled, yet it still does this. Disappointing as before the app worked well, hopefully it gets resolved soon, I will then re-review back to 5 stars.

I've just downloaded the app and run through the account setup on Android, but there is a real problem with the date of birth selector on the edit page, as it requires you to click through every month of your life to reach the year you were born. This really needs to be sorted, as I almost gave up at 2014, and I'm enthusiastic about this project, so for someone who's been recommended it, they are likely to give up way before they reach their dob, especially if they're as old as I am. Pls fix it

Like many others who left reviews, I downloaded the app and did not receive any videos. I've emailed the company multiple times and keeping getting an automated reply saying someone will be in touch but they never do. It's a shame because this sounded like a great idea, I'm deleting the app now as it appears to be nothing more than a data capture tool.

I can watch paid videos ok, but any time I try to upload any content the app immediately crashes, making it completely unusable as a social media platform.

Pretty good so far. Would be great if we had referral links to use and paid to give out referrals. It'd be a great initiative to share the app and get more sign ups.

It's a scam, you build up a few quid then suddenly you can't login to your account. Then unable to reset password... dont waste your time!

The App asks you to link your PayPal account, so that you can get paid. Then it won't let you link your PayPal account. I found that very frustrating. I asked if they could resolve the issue. No one got back to me.

Really fantastic idea and each ad gives fair compensation. However, the requency of ads available is fairly poor, not even 2 a week on average.

No complaints but upto 30 days to get any reward pending in wallet, this needs to be much shorter. Hence 3 stars. Dev replied, explained and raised this to 4 stars.👍

Unistalled before I signed up. Any online service that involves money or personal information ought to have a sign-up option on a web site so that people can use things like Last Pass (other password managers are available) to set a secure password.

edited: managed to update the app and get videos working again - took uninstalling and reinstalling it twice via google play. app is eco/ethics-washing - charities only get 1p a video & what's changing the world about ads for non-ethical banks/investments? original review Misleading, having a very limited social media feed and you and a charity getting paid pennies when you watch an ad isn't changing the world. Joined in March 2222 it's now April, only sent 3 videos so far, 1st 'earnt' me 10p (pending), rest give a link saying I need to install or update the app. App is already installed and has no updates.

Exactly how it should be be, we're paid for watching adverts. Excellent app and so easy to use.

Wheres the ads tv advert makes you think this is already established. But appart from the introductory ads have had very little since.

After dowloanding it was fine i managed to watch my first paid ad then it stopped allowing me to watch them just wont load i have deleted the app and reinstalled still nothing! I have scince been in contact via email and was told younare aware of the problem but yet over a week later it is still not fixed! I think im going to delete the app its useless!

Onboarding not playing, opens in web page and shows a black screen with play button in middle. Progress bar shows updating to 1m 48s but then will not play and screen freezes. Have reinstalled twice and same result. Using One Plus 8T on Android 11

Before I waste my time signing up after downloading this, am I correct that I read in your terms that users have to be in the UK only to be paid? That was not mentioned in your about section. Otherwise I would not have even downloaded this. I am in the USA.

I watched the video, and had to pick at least one catagory to get to the end of the questions, even though I wasn't interested in CHIP. Now I dare say they'll be pinging emails everyday!

Upgrade logged me out of app. Tried to reset my password, link sent by email just directs me to website where I am directed to google play store. Now am unable to use app at all.
