Weather Detector
In this application, you will gain access to:
RAIN AND SNOW PROXIMITY ALARM
- Storm Guard sends prompt notifications when any precipitation such as rain or snow enters your detection area. Open the app to refresh your location and to analyze any incoming weather systems. You can also choose to leave the app open and enable the "follow location" option, which will auto-center the map and update your location as you move! Closing or minimizing the app will lock your location in place.
-Customize the detection sensitivity by adjusting the detection area, minimum intensity threshold, and notification frequency within the application settings. You can always opt out of notifications in settings as well. Storm Guard currently provides rain and snow proximity detection for continental US locations and parts of Canada.
WEATHER SYSTEM AND STORM CELL ANALYSIS
-Storm Guard will scan and place a magenta circle over the most significant weather within the detection area. Click this circle to view the complete cell analysis including average precipitation intensity, maximum precipitation intensity, storm area, and distance from your location.
-Analyze weather systems anywhere on the map by panning and zooming over any visible precipitation radar data.
-View complete details of every cell within the detection area by using the weather details inspector (magnifying glass icon in the bottom-left of the map screen). Storm Guard currently provides weather cell analysis for continental US locations and parts of Canada.
SHORT TERM WEATHER FORECAST
-The weather details inspector also provides a short term forecast for the area. This feature lists any possible weather phenomena that may be occurring within the next three hours. Pan and zoom around the map to get short term forecasts anywhere on the map. Storm Guard currently provides short term forecasts for continental US locations.
WEATHER DATA OVERLAYS WITH LOOPING
-Gain access to a variety of weather overlays to view on the map. You can animate (loop) each overlay to get a time lapse representation of the data.

WEATHER STATION OBSERVATIONS
- Get the latest weather reports for the observation station nearest to the map's center point, or pan and zoom around the map to get observations from any METAR reporting station! Check the current temperature, dew point, humidity, weather conditions, wind, and more! Storm Guard provides station observation data globally!
NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE ALERT BULLETINS
- Get bulletins for any active weather alerts issued by the National Weather Service such as severe thunderstorm warnings, winter storm warnings, hurricane warnings, and more. Pan and zoom around the map to get bulletins for other locations (relative to the map's center point). A red weather icon will appear on the map when any alerts are detected. Click this icon to view a list of alerts and their bulletin information. Storm Guard currently provides weather alert information for US locations including Alaska and Hawaii.

Nice but at $12/year far too expensive. I like the UI and presentation, but this really doesn't appear offer much more than other radar apps--many of which are free. The ads are not intrusive so that is good, I'd like to pay to remove them but for $12 I'll live with them or just use my main weather app.
Seems to work well, would like the option to add multiple cities and set home city, and as someone else stated a one time option to purchase instead of a subscription.
I don't know what some people are talking about with this app but it is practically real time for me. I live in Ok and it is spot on for keeping me updated on storm activity. I use this in my android head unit in my truck while traveling and it has allowed me to divert or even avoid storms that are approaching within a few minutes. Maybe your equipment is slow
Does not work fully on phones that has Android 9 operating system. Image has activity on screen but at the top it says 'No weather detected.' In the notifications it says 'Heavy weather detected' but radar screen does not say that.
Radar shows what has already past up to current time but it doesn't show anything for an hour from current time. I don't need to see where the weather was an hour ago, I need to see where it is expected to be an hour from no. Uninstalling.
Was my goto radar app but suddenly it won't open on my Note10+. I even Uninstaller and reinstalled the app and nope crashes everytime. Hopefully they see this and fix it.
I wish for user-friendliness as it is opened and put to work, This seems simply adequate, but like to also offer comment of appreciation for effort(s) and what can be a helpful thing fir many as well.
Question: I have this app set to check for heavy weather within a 50-mile radius once per hour. Is it on a fixed time? Or is it set to check 1 hour after I shut down or minimize the app?

The radar image does not accurately show rain. I was stand in putting rain and the radar showered nothing within 50 miles. Insufficient.
I like it becuse it lets u no when bad storms come in but it dose need to update showing Rader it could pick up faster not take so long to get it need tornado figers on it were its going tornados should b spinning on the Rader now that wood b just lovely guess what we get wishful thanking

Used to be great, now after update, it closes 3 seconds after opening. Working great again!!
Im so happy this app. is back to download. Most accurate weather app. Just an idea,how about telling people that severe storms at this Dbz. And a really severe storms go as high as 60Dbz.
APP IS INCREDIBLE BUT IT NEEDS TO HAVE A 1 TIME FEE OPTION INSTEAD OF SUBSCRIPTION. $5.99 WOULD BE REASONABLE. I WOULD BUY IT TODAY IF IT WAS OFFERED.

Problem with radar image not updating and is close to 3 and a half hours behind
I really did like the app. It's showing me that there's a storm coming and it's a bright beautiful day. No clouds in the sky ðŸ˜
the buttons on the map constantly freeze up and do not work uninstalling
Anyway you can get rid of the false echoes that show up mainly at night?
This app needs a sound alert oh, it's a no use in your pocket and unaware of an alert
They really need to update their radar it can be raining here but the radar be clear.

Its different, which is good. However, it focuses only on the strongest (just one) storm cell. Even though there could be more slightly weaker cells nearby. There is no way to choose which storm cell you want info on. Using the Weather System Inspector Button will list (at times) more cells that lacks storm cell identifiers. Needs a one-time purchase price option too.
