Weather Elite by WeatherBug

WeatherBug is the best ...it's by far the most accurate. It will miss sometimes but compared to other apps it just gets it right more often than not by a wide margin. Highly recommended!

I can't find the setting to set the refresh interval anymore. The temp in my top bar is never right until I open the app and manually refresh it. Totally not worth what I paid for it now. My watch uses the weather channel for its app and they're always different now. A waster of my battery. Update: since this is not being fixed, deleting this app. It's not useful. Wish I could get my money back.

The alert settings do not work. I get alerts for everything they list even though they aren't checked. Most days at any given time, I have pollen, commuter, daily precip and other alerts always showing up. When a real alert comes through, I will probably miss it.

My go-to weather app for years and years. But for the past two years or so the temp does not auto update, so it's always wrong in my notification bar. I can't find an update interval setting. Is there a fix?

What happened? This is still my go to weather app, but I'm knocking down 2 stars. It used to show the temp on my lock screen. I've just recently noticed that it no longer does and I have to unlock my phone to see it. Where did this feature go? It was one of my favorites! To just look at my phone and see the temperature! Please bring back! I'm currently looking for a comparable app with this feature until this is resolved. Also, would love to see the status bar temp have more color options.

Have had the elite version for some years now. All I can say is GOOD BYE! Widget is never updated til I open the app. Not long ago those that paid could only see 7 days ahead unlike the free version which was 10. This morning the app said mostly cloudy. Now apparently it's about to rain and this is going to cost me hundreds of dollars as I had rented outdoor equipment that CAN NOT be used during rain. Painting contractor that heavily relies on ACCURATE forecasts.

Weatherbug is comprehensive, easy to use, beautiful to look at. Every detail is spot on, completely well-thought-out, & reliable. That is why I continue with WeatherBug after trying many other weather apps. I am very happy with WeatherBug. I can think of nothing that would make me change my opinion, except BEING NAGGED FOR REVIEWS!!

Used to be fairly decent but lately it doesn't auto update and today it is showing -8 when it's actually 40 out right now. May be time to change apps with all the complaints I have seen lately. Update: reinstalled again per the Dev's request. It now shows 7 degrees f, its actually 25 degrees outside.

This app came a long way to be smooth and reliable over the past 4 years using it. like that the elite version has no ads. Worth the few dollars to buy it.

I've used multiple weather apps over the years, but WeatherBug is the best. It's accurate, has great graphics and it's user interface is straightforward and simple to navigate. Love this app!

I have used WeatherBug since 2009. I lived in a remote area of my state, where it was difficult, if not impossible, to receive weather alerts and hear tornado sirens. One night, sevier storms came through our area along with an F2 Tornado. WeatherBug not only informed us of incoming weather in plenty of time to prepare, but 15 - 20 minutes before the tornado struck our area, WeatherBug alerted us of an extreme situation that had a tornado present. We were able to take cover in plenty of time.

I've been using weather bug app since it came out in the late 1990s for desktops when that's all we had. My reason then is same as now, to get away from broadcast news and stop getting tricked into watch commercials. That said, I have Weatherbug Elite installed and been avoiding commercials to this day. WB is more accurate and informative now than ever and with customization the data I care about most pulls up first. WB Android app stays competitive and I've not considered an alternative.

STOP DELEATING MY REVIEW. It's extremely nice that you have a feedback link so that users can help when they see a problem. It would be even better if it actually worked instead of continually loading for however long that users will wait. This is the second review in 2 hours.

If you want a forecast that is always wrong and a bunch a fluffy stuff to distract you on the side, this is the app for you! If you still have the ability to think independently and you just want an app to give you a simple forecast, look elsewhere because you will be disappointed.

Years ago I had the ads Version and stopped using it. I started to use this Elite ads free version this year and it's now my favorite go to app for the weather. The opening page is beautiful! The displays are very professionally laid out, it's easy to read, very fast, accurate, easy to add or delete Cities, and has no ads! It's so perfect that I'm afraid to update it, I love it just like it is!!!!

I just started using this app and I'm glad I paid for the ad free version. There are so many great features like the multiple maps and the ability to see air quality, pollen, and other conditions right from the main screen. I've been searching for a while for the perfect weather app and this is pretty dang close. My one big complaint is the widget! The appearance is very bland and I wish I could customize what shows up on it. Or at least displayed more info about the forecast for the day or week.

Overall I like the Weather Elite app though it is not perfect. My biggest complaint is the inability to choose which alerts you want to be notified about. For example, I can care less about pollen alerts but I must put up with these notifications or completely turn off all alerts. Why can't I just get alerts for things like tornadoes and/or thunderstorms. One other complaint I have with the app is the inability to choose a custom audio file for the alerts. The app simply uses the default tone.

I've used this app for years, bought the elite version to get rid of the bloat of ads. App doesn't reflect accurate weather, and the only way to turn off the annoying pollen alerts is to completely turn off all push notifications, which means severe weather alerts as well. I don't care about pollen or air quality. I shouldn't have to turn off all alerts just to get rid of certain individual alerts. Uninstalling.

Good app, but used to be better. current version ignores its own setting to turn notifications off. The setting shows as off until a notification comes in, and then it sets it back to on. Very concerning and makes me wonder what else is going on behind the scenes. Now I'm wondering what I paid for... it will be disabled until the next version.

I shift my ten cities as I know where I plan to travel or where I'm interested in weather conditions. Pretty accurate. A lot of the features don't interest me though they might others. I really use the lightning and fire locators in the summer months. Easy to use And the Elite is worth paying for because there are NO ads. Update. I still like weather bug for the reasons above, though the fire locator has become less accurate and less detailed. I do like that now I can add more cities.

I'm tired of having to re-arrange the main screen every time the app gets a new 'update' that doesn't seem to improve anything. The status bar temp reading is often more than an hour out of date, and there's no option to increase the frequency of the refresh, which makes having a status bar temp completely meaningless. I regret spending money on the "elite" version, and will never recommend this app to anyone.

have had the free version for years and always loved it so I decided to pay up to have no ads. was a simple thing and the ads weren't super intrusive but I can't believe I didn't just buy it before now. much nicer without the ads. I think it might load faster too without it having to load the ads as well as all the weather data. and they keep their product updated.

I've been using this app in paid mode for many years, and overall it works well. I appreciate the incorporation of both weather cams and traffic cams. I'm taking two stars off for annoyance. Every time it updates, it reverts my custom screen order to its default. I don't want general weather news and videos at the top; I want my current local information. Stop changing my settings and I'll rate it at 5 stars. It would be even better if I could just disable elements I never want to see.
