I live right on the border of two cities. This is the first weather app I've had that recognizes and changes cities depending on where I'm located on my property. The weather doesn't change, but that's a highly accurate level of interface with available weather satellites. Other apps may be reading the same satellites, but their reporting is not as specific.
Been using the free version for a long time now. It is one of the few weather apps that did not get deleted minutes after installing. Decided that I was tired of the ads, so I upgraded to the paid version. If the ads stay gone, this may be one of the few (of several dozens) that remain a keeper. As picky as I am, that is saying a lot. Info seems accurate, and easy to follow. App is worth the $3.99.
This app is pretty disappointing. The UI is very cluttered and confusing. It lacks many features that my old weather app had. Whatever service they use to get their weather reports is inaccurate as well. Just googling "weather" turned up more accurate weather results. It's snowing here but the app consistently said it would stop in 2 hours. 2 hours pass and it's still snowing but says it'll stop in another 2 hours. The results on Google showed a 100% chance of snow all day (which was correct)
This app is great, but has some blairing flaws that annoy me to no end, still great but could be so much better. It does do things right like, it comprehensive in it information, easy to use, and it's settings I haven't found in another app. Despite how good it is, it does have some flaws. The "status bar" does not update automatically and needs to be manually refreshed. The temperature is close but never fully accurate, it said 20c but it was 30c. This app is great, and is worth buying.
Yes! Finally a weather app that gets it right! I love having the temperature in the status bar and big enough to be seen by my old eyeballs. Open the app and you get the information you want in nicely organized "layers". Current conditions are big and bold (and include wind speed!) Right below is a great summary of the next 5 hours, then the next 7 days. Touch either to get all the details you could ever want! Best weather app ever!
This is the most accurate weather app I have had. We have a thermometer on our porch with a readout in the house and this app always matches the temperature. I like that the background picture changes to match the weather. Unfortunately, there still needs to be some updates to the app. This app's widgets never load when I turn on my phone. It also cannot find a lot of cities, such as Paduca, KY.
The forecasts are good as well as the choice of what measures to include (esp helpful is dew point). Page designs need a lot of improvement. The day-to-day temp columns are useless because all they do is visualize the difference between a day's high and low temps (e.g., Tokyo samples where 10° is higher than 15°). The day view has a temp line graph where the temps are unreadably tiny, yet followed by hourly stats about 100 times bigger. All widgets are 5x2; I want 1x1. Easy fixes if they care.
*Edit A year later and after months of hoping for it to improve... finally giving up. The inaccuracies of this app are beyond acceptable. And now it stopped syncing. 20+ degree current and forecasting difference from all other and ACTUAL temps and conditions. 🆘 Great except on the random occasion the widget fails to load after a restart or when screen has been off all night. Forced to remove/replace...and sometimes resize depending on which device I'm on. But still worth the price I paid. 😁
After countless hours of trial & error, we have finally found simply the best weather app available for Android. It's extremely concise, boasting a phenomenal amount of information, but at the same time allowing one to just quickly glimpse a screen summary, if they so wish. There are no irritating ads, but I've seen a few folks complaining of "a persistent ad" that consumes battery resources; this is merely a click link to their weather provider, and you need not download anything further.
This is the only Weather App I have found that actually gives you the date and a running clock so you know the information is up to date. I love seeing Sunrise/Sunset times right on the initial screen. I would like to see Dewpoint on the initial screen as well or have the options to put what data we want on a floating section up there.
As far as layout and function, this is the best weather app I've used. Unfortunately, the temperature in the notification bar doesn't update frequently enough. I've contacted the developer and haven't received a reply so I'm giving the app two stars and deleting it. That's too bad because I paid $5 for the pro version. :(
It's a nice looking app, but a bit confusing. For instance, the day summary would show that there's a 67% chance of rain but an hour to hour would max at 40% of rain. Also, some performance issues regarding refreshing. My notification was showing 40F, I'm going outside just to find out it's actually 22F and find out it just didn't refresh since last night for over 12hrs.
Overall, it is one of the more thorough weather apps that isn't cluttered, leaving you to search for advanced info. My only quirk is that the temperature in my status bar does not automatically update, I have to open the app in order for the temperature to update to current conditions. But otherwise, this is along my favorite weather apps.
Really disappointed in this app. Paid for it so I could have a real-time temperature display in my notifications and a frost alert for the winter. It does neither of these things. The temperature displayed in the notification only updates when you open the app, and there is no option for frost alerts. Free apps have better specs
