Google maps is used for rainfall radar and other map views. Data is available at 10 different zoom levels across multiple time steps with both recent observations and forecasts into the future (only one time step available in the free version). Radar data covers all of the UK and Ireland. Your current location is (optionally) overlaid on the map as well.
This application uses the latest up to date forecast data available from the Met Office for the entire United Kingdom (including England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland) via access to almost 5,000 unique forecast locations. Configure the display for just the information you want to see including time, temperature, weather description, weather image, feels like temperature, wind direction, wind speed, wind gust, visibility, relative humidity, ultra violet index (UV) and air quality index.

Accurate for the most part. Good weather app for the UK. Easy to read without excessive animations. Only minor niggle for me is the swiping between the tabs; it's not smooth and can be finicky, the slightest downward movement causes the page to refresh. Easier to press on the tab's name to switch. Could be more fluid. Other than that a great little weather app. 👍
Would get 5 stars if the widget loaded after a phone restart. Have to reinstall widget every time. I've had this issue across several different phones and android versions. But apart from that, brilliant. Lots of dumb reviews on here about poor accuracy. Do you think the app maker has his own weather satellites, or radar stations, or super computer? Obviously all the app can do is present weather data from a large agency like the Met Office. It ain't his fault if that's not always accurate.
I love this weather APP and wouldn't ever change it to any other. This fab app shows everything you need to know at one glance. It is extremely straight forward and clear, showing - 24 hours of weather each day, for upto one week... longer if you want. Always very accurate and spot on. Love it.
Your app constantly contradicts itself. In the summery it shows a cloudy but dry day then in the detail it says its raining heavily in the morning. So which one should I believe. As a window cleaner I have to rely on these apps to plan my day. Oh and also on many occasions its also said its dry right in that moment when actually I've been standing in the rain at that moment. The 5min online radar I look at on Google is far more accurate.
A beautiful little app with a clean interface that offers certain key forecast features (e.g. mountain forecasts and long term outlooks) that the official MetOffice app should have implemented for themselves years ago. The forecasts dont extend quite as far into the future as the official app's do (5 days as opposed to 7) but the main thing holding me back from making this the sole weather app on my phone is the apparent lack of push notifications for weather warnings. Otherwise, its gold!
IMHO, the best app for those in UK with a meteorological interest. Comprehensive data but not too windy :-). Latency on modest devices now tolerable. Would give 5* if, 1. Previous zoom level and coordinates were restored, and 2. Table view of observations (assuming fully oop, should require minimal code as forecast table already an option).
Love the app but there are some issues with the widgets. Every few hours the little refresh icons on the widgets stop working and I can only fix it by going into the app and back out again. Using Android 5.1.1.
Very unimpressed with the new widget. Detail is lacking in the widget along with the ability to make the background transparent. Previous version was miles better. Had this app for years but will be looking elsewhere now I'm afraid. Bad upgrade!
I paid for the full version of this app several years ago but after today's upgrade I have been degraded to the trial version without explanation. It was an excellent app which I used daily. Probably more than any other app so the impact on my mobile functioning is huge.
Probably the most detailed at-a-glance weather app., but following latest update, the "create widget" button stays greyed out. I still miss air quality indicators, otherwise it would have scored 5 stars.
Well laid out Forcast columns. vertical columns are so much easier to read for the hourly details. Clear decisive information is what you need.and get. but could do with additional info.
Best weather app I have used. Quick, easy to configure preferences for data displayed and tidy widget too. Don't waste your time with any of the others
Don't like the new update, the old version worked perfectly well! There is less information on screen in detailed view and seems slower to load.
Used to be a great app. But the ad personalization pop up screen is infuriating. Uninstalled. Shame. Edit. Developer has addressed issue and normal service has resumed. 5*
Thought great app that uses the Met office for its weather that's "free" of course not even the the 4x? Widgets you need to upgrade...uninstalled.
Simple & easy to use. Seems about as accurate as any weather app can hope to be at forecasting the changeable British weather.
I like the app, forecast and observations are local and accurate. Widget temperature is often wrong often showing data hours out of date.
As a sports' teacher I need to check weather conditions and this site's hourly casts are crucial when deciding if I should cancel a fixture. The nearer the day the more reliable the forecast- usually spot on!
This clearly and comprehensively shows the forecast, which I've easily adapted to suit my requirements. The amount of information given is excellent and I'm able to plan my day easily, around meteorological vagaries!

I think this app displays the met office forecasts but in a better format than the met office app. Very usable

Works well, and is not just a generic clone. Actually, this is a fantastic, and unique app, and highly dependable.
Love this app, Met office standard forecast in an accessible format. Only one slight niggle is the red on blue colour scheme for the high wind speeds which makes them very difficult to read. This applies to dark colour scheme only.
