Edited: my issue is now fixed. This is a great weather app if you're willing to pay the small annual subscription charge. The info is clearly laid out and gives me exactly what I need. It's also the most accurate app I've used for my area, and I've tried 10+! It loses 1 star because the free version is no fun to use with full screen ads popping up every now and then. Small banner ads are fine but full screen with no option to immediately close it is too much for a weather app.
Such an excellent app. I've used it for years. The graphs for temp, rain wind, humidity are the best. I also find the "navigate" feature extremely helpful on my road trips. When my Galaxy S9+ was updated to Android version 9 (pie), the app wouldn't even open. The developer responded quickly. I uninstalled then reinstalled. My fav weather app is working again!
I've had this on my phone for over a year. I realize that App developers deserve to make a living, but this App is getting more and more bloated with ads, even full screen ads. Ads are now crammed into just about every spot they can find. I finally decided to get rid of it -- and coincidentally the new update for Android is complaining about the App slowing the system down just after I made that decision.
I've used the paid for app for three or four years, and it's been great until recently. The temperature shown at the top of my phone no longer changes unless I open the app. I want it to refresh every 15 minutes like it's set to. I have contacted the developer who has not replied. I will not renew my subscription in November if this isn't sorted out. It was 5 stars... now it's 3. The developer still hasn't bothered to reply to me. I now use a different weather app but I still have this installed
Navigate only allows you to select same-day departure. The website allowed me to select the departure day, so I got the app, but the app isn't useful for planning a trip. This is the only reason I got the app. I haven't really used any other features, but for what it's worth they look well designed and pretty.
Ever since updating to OneUI on my Galaxy S9+ this app does not even open, it simply crashes every time I try. I've tried clearing the cache, all data, uninstalling then clearing the cache partition before reinstalling and nothing seems to work. It used to be a pretty good app, not anymore though. *in response to devs reply: I have just submitted feedback including system logs for review. Please feel free to reach out if I can assist further.
app no longer opens after androids latest update, keeps crashing. used to have this before they started shoving ads down your throat. rather accurate temp, and only app i trust for predicting rainfall. i understand needing revenue from ads, but stick to non intrusive ones. banner ads are fine, maybe even a whole new tab for them. pop ups every 2 minutes is unacceptable. ive also had ad sounds play through my lock screen (after i lock my phone while still in the app)
I understand the need for ads to generate revenue. However, autoplaying, full screen, un-cancelable video ads, with audio(!) are a bridge (or two) too far. To add insult to injury, hectically trying to get rid of the loudly playing (facebook) video only resulted in the play store opening, presumably to install an app. I'm quite disappointed and will uninstall, not to return. 😑 Liebe Ubimet, das solltet ihr nicht notwendig haben!
As of May 23rd, 2019 the bug that made the app unstable on Android phones has been resolved. I simply reinstalled the app and it has been running smoothly for a few hours. I use this app on a daily basis and have found it to be the most accurate weather app. Thank you for fixing the bug.
This app is awesome! Really great layout to understand what is happening daily. Also awesome past and future radar built into 1. Not many weather apps have that feature. I love how easy it is to get all relevant weather info in a graphical format to absorb it quickly. I am a happy paid subscriber. I have been looking for a new app since weather underground became terrible and dark sky got bought by Apple. Check this one out!
The terms and conditions are in German only. There are in app purchases but I don't know what they are because the Ts & Cs are in German the r e is no way to contact the maker about anything. Could someone from Morecast please contact me so I can find out. love this app you can pinpoint the weather perfectly and has all the info available. I had it when it was free it's the best weather app by a long long way.
I had it on android 8, and I loved it, but I can't reinstall it now on Android 9. Before uninstall ing it, I couldn't open it, it kept crashing. I will update my rating when you fix the issues. Great overview app, but I wish Morecast would fix the issue regarding the sunrise and sunset times bearing no resemblance to the time values at the top of the screen in the graphical view. e.g. A sunset time of 9:15pm isn't aligned with the extents of the 9pm to 10pm vertical time slot, it is within the 10pm to 11pm time slot. What's wrong here, the placement of the sunrise and sunset markers in the graphical view or the time slot labels themselves? REPLY To Developer Column labels are illogical
3 Words: BEST RADAR EVER!... For central Europe at least... I use another app where the temperature and rain forecast ist more exact than morecast... It has all the features i need, nice layout... It could look a little prettier though... The design is definitely very clear and neat... And again: the weather radar is just AMAZING... No other weather service i tested to date comes close!
Required uninstall and reinstall with latest Android update. Still doesn't give weather advisorys for Canada. It's due to the weather providers the app uses. They are all US based.. Psssst were the big undefined block at the top of your weather maps. Still stable after the update and reinstall. How come you're still unable to show Canadian weather alerts. The data is available from Enviroment Canada and its free...
Like the weather app. It's well laid out, easy to navigate, and I am okay with unobtrusive ads. I HATE the pop-up videos ads they've added. Ruins the whole thing for me... (would be 4 or 5 stars otherwise)
It has been a pretty good weather app but does not seem to be working properly since yesterday October 31st. I've uninstalled and reinstall with no change. It still thinks it is Sat Oct 31st not Sun Nov 1st. This year can't end quick enough don't try and pull a Groundhog Day and make us relieve a day over and over. Please fix issue
This is an extremely functional app! It is very well layed out and has ease of access. I absolutely love all the widgets they have to choose from which I find is to the point. I have been using it for over three years now, and am a big fan of the design!
Very accurate in most places of the world I've been in, but it crashes almost every time a minute or so after launched. Such a pity because it's accurate and I wouldn't want to switch to another one. Hope it gets solved soon.
Information is there. Layout and navigation is awkward. I need weather from a weather app not data hogging pictures. Widget was so bad I wouldn't use it. Since weather is the only widget I use and I won't be coerced into buying an app by popup ads I'm uninstalling morecast.
(Updated review) Great weather app with a reasonable small banner ad, but then it puts up an intrusive full-screen ad that gets in the way. Extremely annoying, at least for me. Killing the ads requires an annual subscription. But it's inexpensive and worth it if you hate those ads. I've tried several weather apps and this one is among the most accurate, and has one of the best graphs of the conditions. I want a quick, comprehensive view of the day's weather, and this app has it.
