Weather Route - FREE

The best feature is quick access to webcams. After a while, I learned to ignore "best time to leave" feature since it's highly inaccurate. The app also needs the ability to change routes. It kept trying to direct me down a road that's closed for the season. Overall, the app's a decent head's up for possible inclement weather during long distance travel but it needs some big improvements.

I think that it is somewhat helpful. Its definitely the best I've found but would like to see the following improvements. 1) it would be great if you could look farther ahead than 2 days. 2) I wish you could impute your stops and the length of your planned stops. 3) it would be nice if you could tap on a part of your route and get an extened report, road conditions, stuff like that.

Does what the description says. Easy to use. First complaint; App will not rotate to horizontal position which is a lot easier and more normal for viewing a map. Deduct one star until that situation is remedied. Next complaint; when trying to add additional stops on the route, you cannot reorganize them in order by sliding the text field up or down. The only way to get each stop in correct order is to retype each one. Cumbersome! Deduct another star.

I've been using this app for about a year now, mainly for the last two winters, while traveling all over the West coast. It is helped me either choose a better route with less weather or decide if I should leave a little earlier or later. I have needed to reach out to technical support a few times for different issues and the reply is always prompt and helpful. I would recommend this app for anyone who travels, 99 cents is nothing, especially if it keeps you out of the snow or dry.

Ugly and no route options. All suggested routes took a shortcut through another country. It is shorter, but such a headache. The route I actually want isn't an option, and there is no way to change options to avoid tolls, or country boarders, etc. Visually, it's functional but... Not nice to look at. Looks like it was a school project, maybe.

Very nice. Downloaded on the recommendation of Robin Barrett of Creativity RV. Planned a few routes. Very easy. Enjoyed reading developers feedback to issues. They seem very responsive. Looking forward to using the app while traveling. one suggestion. it it possible to just drag stopovers in the order they need to be without the hassle of cut and paste? I use this feature a lot in Google maps. Plan route with final destination in mind first, then add interesting waypoints along the route.

seemed buggy but it's just slow to load. information is difficult to easily see in a car. probably good if you had plenty of time to sit down with it before the drive. there's a white background that's annoying to look at. there's an unnecessary background image on the main page that adds blurriness to the UI. without a feature to see traffic cameras it's not as useful to me. needs that feature to be relevant. Googling could do the same thing faster. -Google fiber wifi with a Verizon Note 9.

used to work great but since the last update it doesn't work at all. The "search" button is gone so once you're done typing your destination it doesn't do anything. hitting the go button doesn't work either. the Search button is gone. I hate up dates! 01/07/19. thank you for the quick response. It works great!! I'm a truck driver and I used this almost on a daily basis, especially this time of year. This app has helped me lots and and saved me more times than I can count. Best app ever!

I really wanted this to work as I have a trip coming up tomorrow, with impending winter weather along the route during travel time. The routing was good, but the forecast is completely missing the winter weather. Along the lines of what others have said, the user interface is poor, and dated at best. I do not see the value in purchasing a subscription/pro service when the data is suspect, and the user interface hard to use.

Thank you Voyage Studios! I could not have safely planned a trip out of the winter storms in Texas without you. A personal emergency forced me to travel today as widespread winter storms wreaked havoc across Texas. I tried several other resources to help with travel planning, but none of them consistently matched my own research until I found this one. I had several routes to choose from and, unbeknownst to me, the safest one had a narrow and rapidly approaching departure window.

I use this about every 2-3 months and it works great. I recently completed a trip from FL to WI. Several people were telling me when i should leave based on weather moving through the country. I looked through the app and decided best time for the trip. I was told by others to go with their plans. I stick with Highway Weather app and had a great trip. Lots of cars in the ditches from snow and on comming cars were snow covered. We never encountered snow or slippery roads.

Invaluable. Works perfectly. I drive an 18 wheeler coast-to-coast with my wife. Every load is different, as is every route, and knowing the weather conditions up ahead is critical to our safety and our decision making, especially in winter. I can't thank the developers of this app enough. I encourage everyone to please download it, support it, and also help get the word out to others.

***Updated review: I removed and reinstalled. Now the buttons at the bottom that allow you to do something are visible, so it is actually usable. Responsive developer too. TY I did discover that unless you subscribe, only plan ahead button works, not drive now. **** Just updated app. Now worthless. Gives no weather info, just length of time that trip will take. So much for "free version" of app.

same problem I have with Google maps, where I can't select rural highways for my route. its just a weather overlay for gmaps with the same flaws and not great UI. also you can't just drop a pin or select your destination on the map, you have to type it in. such a pain to use. video ads are very annoying

Easy to use accurate information and you can set it for your 10 hr dot and reset breaks along route. To actively deside where you will be better off and not get stuck with a road closure. Wind warning have been on point too for high profile vehicles. I actively use this app winter months for my Trucking business. Outstanding job. Let me know if you need any beta testing.

Uninstalled immediately. The premise is great. But in order to use the "drive now" feature, which gives you current weather as you drive, you have to purchase the subscription. This is very slimy to me. You bombard us with ads and to use the app for its sole purpose we still have to pay. Nah.

Just downloaded and started using the app. So far I like it so awarded 4 stars. First thing I noticed is the need to be able to modify rest/fuel stop times. Would be much better in 10 or 15 minute increments rather than hours. Great start, just needs some tweaking to get to 5 stars.

I have no idea if the app is any good because you need to upgrade if you care to have more than one stop, if you want to actually know the weather on your route, or to change the preset route it offers.

Almost completely unusable. Used it briefly in the past but now can't seem to get past the ads. Every step has a full page ad and when finished leaves a blank page. Finding I have to restart the app to get one step further each time. No sense in keeping it

I really like the app's ability to show weather forecasts for the time I'm supposed to be driving through a city. I do wish it allowed me to block out certain driving times (I'm not going to be on the road at 3 in the morning) or would allow me to bound the departure or arrival time a bit. (I plan to leave during the weekend but not today.)

As a Trucker, this App is a Must Have. As a Trucker we need to stop for 10hr break, well I love that i can input the 10hr rest period within the route and see how the weather changes while I'm resting. The weather map radar is great too, to see how close the rain may be to your route. This App is def a must have for trip planning during the winter months, especially if your a trucker

Perfect app for figuring out your trip across the country. Even better, now it includes rest stops for overnight trips. It doesn't always know the route I want to take, so the ability to add multiple cities comes in handy too. LOVE!

I apologize for my earlier comment, I was mistaken on how the app worked. When you get to the screen that tells you to select your route, drive now doesn't work. You need to select plan ahead, and the app will function properly. This is a little confusing, but you can still use the features without having to pay.

this seems like a very cool concept and has some great things in it but I can't change the date to plan ahead. Or at least I can't figure out how to change the dates for my trip to plan ahead. it just only allows me to put in my destinations as if I'm leaving in 2 hours or whatever it is and that's pretty frustrating. I'd like to be able to put in my trip dates so that I know what the weather is 3 days from now not today. Other than that it's a pretty cool app

Doesn't let you try it out without credit card. I'm not giving my cc for a test drive. Developer states you can plan your trip without cc which is true but navigation is disabled. It would be nice to allow a one day, 24 hour or more to try out the software. It seems relatively inexpensive for what they claim you are getting.

tried it twice, said 0 chance of rain even though I ran into major storms. Next morning I checked it, said same thing even though it was currently raining where I was, and it said 0% all day. May work for temperature, but it wasnt working for anything else. Unfortunate because it seemed like a decent app otherwise. I downloaded it to look for rain and it didnt work for me.

Cumbersome interface with limited features. Must enter destinations in order since the feature to adjust them doesn't work. Very limited in adjusting times of departure. Map gives you odd routes of travel. All in all not a very good app.

This app gave a very odd travel route via back roads rather than interstates and it didn't allow you to easily change the selected route. Edit: The developer was quick to respond and make some changes to improve the functionality of the app. Excellent customer experience.

Love the app anyway you could allow date selection? This is the only app on the market that allows you to search route this easy. Changing the date for future forecast would be amazing. Update:. Love the slider option. App keeps getting better and better.
