WeatherBug Widget

I've used weatherbug for over decade. Was my preferred weather app above all others. Always enjoyed the local schoolnet feature and the educational opportunity it provided for elementary students.. I've paid for subscriptions several times to support the app. Each time would last a year or so then would not be valid after Weatherbug update. Over the past several years I've notice lots of stability issues, bugs and the widget won't work at all. Very sad to see a great app fall to unusable.

Installed this app this morning. Verified compatible with my Android phone. Installed okay, but the widget does not update. Just continues to say "updating...". Opened the widget and the blue selection screen shows choices for FORECASTS, MAPS, ALERTS, LIFE, NEWS & VIDEOS, CAMERAS, AIR QUALITY, and HURRICANE. If I select Forecasts, for example, I can see the parts of the forecast in the background ... behind the selection screen! My assumption is that the selection screen is supposed to disappear when a selection is made, but it doesn't. It is still morning and it has been "Updating..." for an hour now. I will now uninstall this app.

It isn't working since the most recent update. The weekly weather always shows Monday through Friday. It doesn't update regularly. The weather bug logo is now as big as the forecast. The date shows up in year first format. I've loved this widget for years, but the most recent update has ruined it. Please restore the previous version.

Update: changed my rating to 5. They fixed the app and I once again have my favorite weather app back. I've had this app for years and love the 5 day forecast, date, time, alarm everything about it until the last update. It's now broke and they keep auto generating a response to uninstall/reinstall, but that hasn't fixed it. I can't find anything comparable and hoping they fix the issue so I can reinstall for good again.

Update- weatherbug got back with me and explained how I needed to get the widget to show. This is my first android (I had iPhone before), so I didn't know how to get the widgets to show. I thought they would just show up when I installed, but I had to do a little more than that. It works perfectly, thank you weatherbug! Won't show up on my samsung galaxy z fold 2. It shows it is installed, but I cannot find it. Same as Melody H said, any help please?

Obsolete, out of date with current Android version. Please either remove this from the app store or updated as soon as possible to work with a current stable version of Android OS. *Update* 8/1/20 Still have to uninstall / reinstall every few days, as the sync programming is broke with the new version of Android OS. Uninstalling and not coming back.

Since Weatherbug Widget is its own app separate from the main Weatherbug app I would expect more options. Most of the ones here are good. The largest one with the most info is a bit clunky but has great info, for the home page of my phone, with a quick glance. Maybe updates will contain a few refinements without a loss of info. Still good and currently using on my home screen.

The app is an addition to the official weather app. In not sure if it works by itself but the reason you'll want this one is mainly because the weather app dosent have widgets. (I mean it does but they don't give enough information) The app dosent actually show ok the app draw, but you can find the widgets in the widget selection. Helpful, and easy to use.

Way to go in ruining a great widget, Weather Bug! It worked perfectly before and was on the top of my home screen. The new version adds a much to large logo and doesn't update the weather information without a complete reinstallation. I will be looking for a replacement.

used the app for a few years - now getting several alerts (3 within 5 minutes for fog) within a short time span. 35 winter weather advisory alerts within 8 hours. No help from support and no way that I could find to turn off the alerts. I don't mind getting ONE alert but so many in such a short time. I uninstalled the app now I can sleep through the night without getting all those alerts waking me up.

Worked great for years. Now freezes on a white screen whenever I try to get detailed information of the weather. Only allows me to view the weather from the widget's homescreen. Clock portion does expand whenever I select it from the widget; just the weather side that doesn't expand. Have tried reinstalling several times and several phone reboots.

This used to be my favorite widget for weather, but now it's completely broken. All weatherbug support keeps saying is "uninstall and reinstall" even though that doesn't fix the issue. Even restarting your phone doesn't work. Weather gets stuck on one day and will not update. No weatherbug, I will not email you to describe my problem. Read the reviews, the problems are being described already

New phone was still set to the default auto-update option, and alas, I got this crapified one. Great job on the logo guys, that's just what my screen real-estate is for: your logo. Thanks so much! It's extra annoying that there's no downgrade option in google play, cuz if it's newer, it MUST be better.

This has been the best free weather app for years. Since the last update Spafk works only rarely, it's a vile replacement fron the original, very elementary. I will be looking for a better weather app, no desire to pay $20 for elite when an awesome free edition has been available for years.

As others have stated, the widget no longer works after the most recent update. The temperature won't change, the weekly forecast won't update, and the refresh button won't work. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times. Please fix this issue, I love this widget and have been using for years! I don't want to have to find another one.

Widget doesn't update lately... Broken... No matter how much you open it or tell it to update. Also, it doesn't open based on the version you have... I bought the paid version of Weatherbug and the Widget opens up a totally different look and feel from the apps with tons of ads. I usually just use the Widget to see a brief forecast for the day and open up the full app for anything else. Fix the widget so it updates (others say same)... And fix Widget to open the app you have installed (paid).

I have use weatherbug for several years. The last update has caused the weatherbug widget to lock up, fail to update and just preforms lousy. I have uninstalled both the widget and the app several times nothing works or to fix it. Very displeased will start searching for a new app.

Since the update last week, I have uninstalled and reinstalled the widget more times than I can count. It no longer updates the current air temperature or current conditions, even when tapping the refresh button.. The only way it will update is to uninstall it and then reinstall it yet again. The widget simply does not work the way it used to or is supposed to.

Since recent updates, doesn't update weather data, doesn't show correct alarm date/time, doesn't keep the city I choose. Developer asks to uninstall/reinstall even when clearly stating multiple times that this has been done several times. UPDATE: Dev responded saying they're working on it. 5 stars if fully fixed soon.

I once loved it, then i got irritated when the commercial started. They offered me an opportunity for a one-time payment not to get ads. My phone had a bad hiccup and I lost a lot of my apps when I reinstall them they want me to pay again they told me to get ahold of Google Play Store send them an email and they would put me back on. There isn't an email address anywhere as I can find I keep going round and round and round if they don't want apparently to keep up their reputation.

Been using the Weatherbug widget and app for years. The new update has completely blown the widget out of the water. The current temperature no longer updates. They added a ridiculous logo that does nothing but take up room on my home screen.... I already know it's Weatherbug!! You don't need to put a logo there that takes me no place! I did all that tech support instructed to no avail. Very disappointing.

The most recent upday caused the widget to freeze. It does not update at all, the temperature is always the same and so is the daily forecast. I have uninstalled and reinstalled the app, that didn't change anything. PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!

I like it, but I want the option back to choose an alert sound and more frequent updates than 30 minutes. I didn't get an alert the last time we had a tornado warning, even though this app is excited from my do not disturb. I had to install another app for nighttime alerts.

I can also confirm that this latest version does not work as previous ones did. As others have posted, it continues to display Monday thru Friday regardless of the actual day of the week. Temp doesn't change. My phone is set for auto date and time, so that's not the problem. Something broke in this latest version.

Normally we love this app. And usually give it 5☆.We used it on every phone we've ever had. However now we are giving it a 1☆ because, all the sudden my wife and myself have been having issues with it. It won't let us click on it to check weather. Or it will not let us open it to set an alarm. Or it doesn't update example today is Thursday the weather and day on it is still saying Tuesday
