Too many ads. I paid for the "premium" version of this app long ago, then the premium features got locked behind a subscription. Now I'm getting full page ads. I'm out. The app is ok, but not good enough to put up with this trash. Especially after being screwed once they had my money. Uninstalled.
This app used to be look basic, but was so good. Ever since "beautifying" it a while back, it's been bad ever since. Slow, laggy, buggy. The rain radar works as intended once a week if I'm lucky. I can't even count how many times I've uninstalled and reinstalled. I've emailed support, with not much help provided. Really disappointing. I rely on a stable weather app for my work, and if this worked properly it would tick all the boxes. If it was reliable I would upgrade to the paid version.
Being paying yearly subscription for years. Will NOT be renewing annual subscription. Since the new look, the app and the website are clunky. The app repeats the daily weather. The graphs are confusing. The website will not do favorites. The radar is absolutely useless and so slow to load. You have to keep clicking to get the area and you can't use you mouse the scroll.
Very disappointed in the new mobile format. Writing is to small and the rain radar doesnt seem to pick up rain. Was raining at my place but radar showed nothing. Used this app for years professionally with the emergency services and privately with great ease, but now not very user friendly. Prefer the old format as it was very easy and informative for a mobile phone
Used to be a great app, but the information has become unreliable. Tomorrow's top temp forecast for Melbourne is 6 degrees lower than the BOM forecast. Where are you getting the data from?? Also as others have said, the ads are getting bigger and more annoying. Planning to delete if not fixed soon.
Used to be my go to app, but recently it's been playing up for me, over two devices (old phone & new phone). It either takes AGES to get past the loading screen and/or does not load the radar imagery.. I see place names & the terrain but no clouds or rain areas. I've tried using different WiFi connections & have uninstalled & then reinstalled in the hope it may fix it but it is still the same.. So now I find myself going online to the BOM radar which i was trying to avoid in the first place 🤷
A long-time subscriber but am very frustrated with the rain/radar. You want to zoom in or move anywhere it takes so long to load. There's no 3hr time frame, have to use 6hr and it races through and you miss rain events/radar images. Where's the NSW rain/radar....it comes up as Australia and won't allow zoom in for States. What's happened to Gunnedah's reading? Is the radar station out?
This USED to be the best weather app around till changes last year. Now the radar is very hit and miss and the app is very laggy...probably due to the excessive front and centre advertising. If you are going to re-invent the wheel at least make the bloody thing round! Developers...go back to old version which was streamlined and WORKED efficiently 😢😤
This has been my weather app for years. I always found it the most accurate of all apps. But for the last month the weather has been so inaccurate... Up to 10 degree difference to what the actual weather is. Unfortunately I'll have to look elsewhere.
Absolutely go downhill. Not to mention the low temperature is on the opposite day, shows "today's low" from this morning. It takes forever to load now. Riddled with ads. And can no longer show the radar that was great before hand. This has gone absolutely awful and waste of time. Thankfully I'm no longer paying for it.
I had to delete this app recently as athe ads became the home screen for the app. The radar is so slow to load it has become totally unreliable. Also when I open the app it gives me two full weather descriptions for the same day. This app was the best 1 year ago. Who messed it up. I am a builder and rely on accurate radar more than anything else.
Really hating that I updated this app. Has been great for years. Gas always been simple and easy to see everything. Now it's terrible!! The layout is horrible, the writing tiny and the colours on the satellite awful.
Had this app for many years and was always my go to. Unfortunately over the past few months the app has gone down hill. The interface has become a bit more clunky and features like the radar are incredibly hit and miss as to if they will load or not. The widget does not seem to update sometimes and will show no value for local temps. Reinstalling unfortunately didn't seem to help. It really is a shame as this was for a very long time my only weather app but I could not recommend it as is
An improvement. It used to be good, then it kept crashing and shutting down every time it was opened. I deleted it because it was so frustrating and totally hopeless, then I reinstalled the app and it seems to be working well.
Overall very good. I subscribe, so no ads. The radar feature is hit and miss. Sometimes it works sometimes slow and jerky. doesn't load all frames. Web site version has a good radar view.
Updated overnight. Its no very slow and terribly cluncky. Please resolve asap. New layout is fine but useless if you can not use it properly Again another upgrade overnight and the radar map isn't working at all. What a joke.
Since the last update in December 2021, the radar doesn't work properly. It is either hours behind BOM, or just stalled. I've followed Weatherzone's advice and uninstalled/reinstalled, bit the problem persists. Apart form that, not a bad app.
App with ads was ok, however now I've gone to subscription it's super buggy! Radar rarely works, history won't load, etc. It's disappointing to pay for a sub and get a worse product. #edit - app performed better after applying update as suggested below. However, now radar is broken again. Very disappointing
The recent update to the rain radar has made it absolutely useless and unusable. Please change the rain radar back to how it was before. As an example, it is currently pouring rain but the rain radar only has a bit of green. The same rain radar on the BOM Weather app is accurate.
Absolute junk. I have been using this app for years, until recently it became unusable with the ads blocking all the data. Now the current temperature and forcast are completely false.
This has been my go to app for years, especially its weather radar. It has great features with a choice of layers, but unfortunately it has become very unreliable, since the so called upgrade. BOM app is quick to load and so too its radar; switch to WZ and the wheel spins, going nowhere. If BOM radar had WZ features, now that would be perfect.
