Web Blocker *ROOT*
Description:Web Blocker block websites, you don't need any special browser, this app will block all request to websites you block. You can use it as distraction blocker, so you can be focused on your work, or something else, it's up to you.

Require root access.
Pro version features:+ Password protect, so other people can't change the settings.+ Time protect, so you can't change the settings for specified time (useful if you want to focus on something but always get distracted by some websites).+ Icon hider, hide icon from app drawer and access the app from the dialler.
If the website still not blocked, turn the internet off, and turn it on again. Still not working? contact the developer.
Note: 1. the websites you block will stay blocked if you uninstall this app. so if you no longer want to use this app, make sure to remove all blocks first!2. you can only block domain and subdomain, like www.example.com or blog.example.com, not a page such as www.example.com/somepages/here (credit to Gio Di Russo)3. note that blocking example.com won't block www.example.com, and blocking www.example.com won't block blog.example.com. You have to define it one by one (sorry for this limitation).4. Doesn't work on OPERA or OPERAMINI because they are using server side data. (credit to Mahabub Jitu)5. I am not taking any of your data, this app doesn't have internet access permission, so there is no way I can do it! (credit to some jerk who said "this app is a scam!")6. This app doesn't stack with apps that blocking ads (blocking ads is illegal anyway).7. Does not work on proxy. If you use proxy, please exclude 127.0.0.1

Ok, how do I give the app root access with an android OS? Many of your commenters are blaming the downloader for not knowing or looking the information up. Some of us have demanding jobs and a full family life where time is a commodity. Looking something up to make an app work simply doesn't fit into that schedule. It'll be a few days before I can get back to this. Edit: The point of developing an app is to make it user friendly.
The dev is correct. So many of you download apks off the market based on ratings. I know cause I was one of those ppl once. Were all noobs when first gettin ones "feet wet" in anything we do hobby, job or etc. You folks out there "rate chasing" Not reading anything but some one elses ratings. PPL PLZ read a lil bit about the gadgets U use.YOU CANT USE ROOT FEATURES/GRANT AN APP ROOT RIGHTS WITHOUT A ROOTED DEVICE.Google root & learn what to do/what to avoid etc. Not the devs fault youre mad about not knowin
Works like a Charm :) This app deserves a lot better rating. All because of people who can't Google. And expect tl;dr answers. Kudos to the developer. People who don't know rooting. Buy a parental control app. THIS APP IS NOT FOR YOU Don't affect the developer with your ratings. @Developer it would be nice if you can explain why rooting is needed in simple words :) And also.. With the block go away after uninstalling or should I delete manually? Edit : Never mind. I understood what it is doing :) Thanks for the app.
My phone it doesn't work what's the point of having a blocking out if it doesn't even block the sites I still have access to them why😡
Works great, and the developer does a good job. I posted a bug and it was fixed with the next update, thank you! And all of you ignoramuses who are giving this a bad review because you don't know what root means need to check yourself.
It would have been great but I have a custom rom which doesn't even have a default browser. Would have been nice if it blocked uc browser, opera etc
If users can't be bothered to Google what root access is, then they probably shouldn't even have root access. Ignore the negative reviews - this is simple and effective.
After blocking certain pages I can still open them up in my browser
People who gives bad rating, you need to root your device first, THEN install the app. It works fine.
Hi This is very nice app. I like it . But I have a question having root access will this app harm our personal data or passwords whatever we use with other app and also I want to know whether you u block some sites and remove this app and again install can you again unblock those sites?

Keep getting "access denied this app needs root access!" All the time
Why the lies people. Won't block a single thing. Needs access but doesn't give you the means to get it. We are not sad just because we don't know how to root. Ffs why not explain this to us clearer

if it were without rooting I would give you 5 stars as I deeply need this app but I can't make rooting to my mob
