Good app... But PLEASE let the user silence or disable the audible alarm (muting phone doesn't work). Also, the user should be able to acknowledge the alarm and make it stop, but when the temp fluctuates between the two degrees of the target temp, the alarm resets and keeps going off. Annoying enough for me to switch brands, even though I love this thermometer. The app is 90% there. Fix this and it's five stars for me.

The app is nice and does it's job. But it does not close properly. It keeps asking me to pair after a grilling session, and the system notification is therefore always present. The only way to fix it is to reboot the phone after grilling. I have since installed it on a separate old phone for just this reason.

it's great... when it works.. - Bluetooth range is absolutely awful (probably less than 10 ft) - you have to pair it everytime you use it - no watch support (this would be useful since the Bluetooth range is so bad) - you have no idea when it decides to disconnect

It disconnects randomly and my app froze. I didn't see any fluctuations for a while so went to check and found my pit running high. App needs to work on its blue tooth connection and overall reliability

IGrill device played up displaying high temps on the first use. Then second time around it took around 20 attempts to connect, then read high temps constantly (literally all the time). Don't waste your money or your meat!

Picked up a new phone and logged into the app. All of the timers I had perfected are gone. The timers don't sync to the cloud? What's the point of having an account, then?

I don't like this latest update. The app from a few years worked much better. It paired more reliably and most important, you were able to zoom out on the graph much further. Currently, you are only able to see about 30 mins or so. Prior to this release, you were able to zoom out on the graph, switch to landscape, and see where the current temp line was going to converge with the set temp. This allowed you to estimate when the meat would be done.

When it works it's very convenient. Unfortunately, it seems that every time I start the app I have to reboot my phone (Moto X4) before it will find the transmitter. Another issue I have is that when i don't have the app running, it seems to always be searching for the transmitter. I constantly get notifications that the phone can't find a Bluetooth device who's MAC address I've traced back to Weber. This only stops if i uninstall the igrill app.

I like the app and features. My problem is connecting to my mobile via Bluetooth. Sometimes it connects as soon as I open the app, and sometimes I go in an endless circle of trying to get it to connect. This would just be a minor annoyance if it did not decide to disconnect mid cook EVERY time because I walk out of the room or back into the house. I have changed battery several times and still have this issue. Otherwise it would be a 5 star review.

I cannot find any way to delete the data from a previous cook. This is most annoying when using the graph since it shows time when the app was shutdown. From what I can tell from the User Manual this feature used to be available from the graph display. I saw a response from Weber that was dated August 2017 saying they would reintroduce features but that hasn't happened yet. I spent $100 on this device, which I think works good but the app needs work, and soon! I'm very disappointed, and as a retired software engineer, I know it would not be difficult to put this feature back.

Had a previous version of the app and it worked great. Upgraded to a new phone and had to install new version of the app, that's when it went downhill. No longer has the multiple graph capability, which was a nice feature for those running multiple probes. Now you have to look at each graph individually. Also, before when you would tap the widget to open when using the probes it would go straight to the probe temps, now it starts back on the homepage wanting to setup grilling again, seriously guys? You can do better than this!

Started out great with some limits to range. Then the last two "updates" added a constant and annoying "Are you enjoying...." screen that has no "X" to close. This started at the home screen and now pops up every time you change from one probe to the next or one screen to the next...and it doesn't matter how many times you answer the question. Now, despite fresh batteries, it won't pair anymore. Resetting everything, reinstall (tech support's favorite pass the buck) nothing.

I have tried different apps for other devices, this is definitely the better one. The UI is a little awkward but once you get it, it works. The graphing function is nice but could be improved. Ability to display the estimated time that a cook will be done, would be nice. (although I undestand that the estimate would fluctuate as the cook proceeds).

When Weber obtained iGrill, I thought the performance of the app declined drastically. But it seemed to eventually improve -- maybe they problem was on my end, I don't know. It's not the easiest hardware and app to use, but I enjoy it overall. It uses batteries fast if you're not careful by leaving it on... Sometimes it hard to know if the device has been successfully turned off. I recommend.

This thing is terrible. If you ever go out of blue tooth range, it will freeze on you. The only way to fix it is to go into your phone's settings, find the app, then manually force it to stop, reopen the app, re-pair the bluetooth, then continue. The worst part is it CONSTANTLY prompts me to say if I like the app or not. I mean, every time I switch screens it asks. There's a bunch of other things that make this thing virtually unusable. Find another brand.

Update: still will not connect. The device works great. Accurate temp! The app is terrible. Won't connect. Bluetooth bot good. Takes forever, if at all for Bluetooth to connect. Seems like my food is done by the time the Bluetooth hooks up. I don't remember it being like this but, the last three times, in two weeks, I used it. Not great. App update maybe c'mon weber your better than this.

I have a brick house, so like others have experienced, this app has had some connection issues for me; however, when it disconnects it alerts me and it reconnects quickly and easily enough. It also picks back up where things left off after disconnecting, so it hasn't been a huge hassle because I don't have re-input everything. Other than that, the app works great and it's helped me to grill better for sure 👍

Works great. No more overdone steaks and burgers. No more overcooking the fish, 'just to be safe'. Same for chicken. If I'm not paying attention a warning notification sounds on my phone that tells me it's almost done, giving me time to go out and take it off the grill before it overlooks. Obviously, placing the probe carefully into the food affects the accuracy of the results. Take a few extra seconds to get the probe to the center portion of the food.

Thinking they could have improved the app a bit. Kind of clumsy if you leave the app and try to get back in at times. Wish the chart would continue to graph even when out of range but I understand that's hard to accomplish. Otherwise I do like the line graph view, like the preset Temps and being able to put my own Temps in as well. Good app, I do recommend!

Chr. H. Aug 10, 2021

As far as I can tell there's no way of knowing the probe has disconnected from the app when you are in the app screen. It shows the temp but nothing appears "in your face" to warn you that the temp reading is old. Also have an incredibly difficult time getting the probe to connect to my phone. I keep getting Bluetooth pairing requests but it won't connect.

Works amazing. I love it. being able to check stuff while I'm inside and I have to come out here in the yard all the time is awesome. I just wish it would run off of Wi-Fi or something that goes further than Bluetooth. Because sometimes depending on how far away I am in the house the Bluetooth cuts out. I guess it doesn't get good signal behind too many walls when your on the far end of the house lol.
