I have been a subscriber to internet security complete for years and this has NEVER worked correctly on any mobile device. Every time there is an update it has screwed up. Not recommended for the less technical. These are known issues and they don't fix them.
First installs on Galaxy J5 were fine. Now upgrading phones to XCover4 and getting error messages UFRM997 key attachment has been exceeded. Support advised me to uninstall from old phones first. This worked once, but now getting this message on a phone number (SIM) that has never had Webroot installed.
The new version will not download. I downloaded the app, opened it and was told to follow the link to the new app. followed the link and it brought me right back to the old app. the new version does not appear to exist.
webroot is a great product, have had it on my computer for at least 10 years.
It's an outdated app with a broken link to the new version.
This app is a data hog and I cannot deactivate it or remove it.
I just bought a new cell phone to replace my old one. I have no idea how to take my old phone off my Webroot account and add my new phone.
Very happy to have web root.
Another junk
I originally bought WebRoot because we used it at work, and it worked. My wife got snagged by a red screen security scam when I was at work, and once she realized what was happening, hung up, the got on the phone with WebRoot. They walked her through everything and made sure her machine was secure. I never even imagined that level.of support from a software company!
DGreat product that I can license for use across phone, tablet, and Windows 10 desk/laptop. On Android, now have an annoying persistent notification that can't be disabled (where did menu button disappear to?). Disabled notification via Android app settings would kill notification of an actual problem. I know webroot is installed; I purchased the license and I installed it. Get rid of the persistent icon that is just wasting space in my notifications bar. Punitive pricing for loyal customers: $30/5 devices new (web coupon), but auto-renewal costs $80 even though it is lowest cost service for webroot. 2 star rating is for pricing policy; it's otherwise excellent app.
Unfortunately I have puchased this app as I now don't trust the company. This comes from the way they are trying to handle the initial agreement contract ones agrees too. Firstly how dare they hold my phone hostage so that they can change said agreement? Besides the fact that it's hangs my phone mid process, it wouldn't even let me choose or get out of without a reboot? Why am I at risk without accepting your change of terms? ...or are you just lying to me? When to term this change as a "fix"... you should mention it was you who screwed up the terms in the first place.
I have webroot, but it has expired. Bought a new webroot but no way to install it and it won't allow me to delete. Webroot has taken over my phone. PISSED OFF
Hi, Webroot in my opinion is the ducks guts as far as online protection goes. Been using it for some years now and it keeps getting better. Thanks Webroot team.
Loved this on my laptop - buggy on phone though. 7 errors in 7 days.
Still five stars for this excellent application. On the household computers it's been a godsend and on the cell phones, the battery impact is low and I've no reason to doubt it's effectiveness (and no proof, thankfully)
I'm confused, I have a subscription but now the app store says this is old? Is it better to have this app with a subscription or is it better to switch to the mobile security version which looks to be free to all?
Fast scanning, unobtrusive, great customer service - brings peace of mind.
Simple, thorough, unobtrusive. Have used six other companies.
Runs smooth in background and protects your devices securly
first time download and they won't a security key code what is that i uninstalled
Wont let me login,so cant use this.Secure anywhere complete keycode ? No idea what that is
I bought for 5 devices and when I download on my phone and try to sign in to my account it tells me my key code is not associated with my account. Have it on 3 devices at home but keeps giving me this error message on my phone. Go to website and help is horrible. Can't find how to do anything remotely close to the issue at hand. Try to find a phone number to call. Haha.....Good luck. Take money but can't get help!!!!!
I've been using Webroot on my devices for years, and loved it. Now, I feel a bit cheated since the mobile app doesn't fully work on my Android device. Apparently, the app isn't fully compatible with the new versions of Android (I have Marshmallow 6.0) and the secure web browsing feature no longer works. Also, I've had issues with the call block feature, that I didn't have previously. I paid $60 for my subscription and don't get the full package. Webroot needs to update their software and do better about keeping updated in thefuture.
Ok I have this on my laptop works great, just tried it on my phone to find battery feature only works on jellybean 4.0.1 and below, Android is currently on 6.0.1 so don't you think it's time to upgrade so it works on newer devices? Secure Web browsing does not work on device either so going back to 360 security which works seamlessly and is free! I did contact support, not very helpful they said it was android and as a 3rd party they could not help
Updated Review. Worked great until update several days ago. After update, battery drain was excessive, recieved notifications from phone stating that the app (webroot) was overloading the CPU. Phone function became slow and almost glitchy. Webroot had responded with a "we are working on a fix", but still no fix. Uninstalled webroot and replaced with different app, phone runs fine.
