App is garbage. It wont log in on any of the devices i own. just continually rolls, trying to connect to the account.

Typical corporate crap-app designed by an incompetent but overpaid drone. It works but the UI is full of ugly oddball elements; you can't close it without killing it; access PIN only works for a while, like few hours (stupid pointless feature); constant BS adverts. Better than nothing but not very good.

So now when I go to pay bills I see the list of payees.....they all have the same name! You can't see the account numbers. So if you have say three Chase cards the all say "Chase card" and no account number is shown. Also it no longer connects to my wifi have to use mobile data to use app. Terrible

It works, if you force it to. First time log in requires you to be logged into your account from a desktop simultaneously. Check deposit photos are horribly distorted until you click capture, then it displays normally for a split second whole takes the picture. This makes it very difficult to frame the photo correctly. Fingerprint authentication isn't available, you need to log in with password and security question every single time. Overall, it's a checkpoint on their sales brochure with no real effort behind it.

Edit: a year later and the app is still total trash, there hasn't been an update to it in two years. Trying to deposit a check with the app takes longer than it would for me to get in my car and drive to the nearest Webster bank ATM. This app is terrible. Using it in 2017 feels like I entered a time machine to 2008 when modern smartphones were just picking up steam. Mobile deposits often take multiple tries and I have to retake images often because of errors and the app's camera interface is a disaster. This is enough of a nuisance for me to look for a new bank. Honestly.

Used Webster app frequently on my Moto X. Upgraded to a google Pixel phone. The deposit function - one of my primary uses - does not take a usable photo of checks. Image is distorted much like using a wide angle lens. So the app is no longer useful for me.

I love Webster bank, but this app is the absolute worst. When I switch between my accounts, I have to log in separately, and every time I do, I have to answer some secret question because the application doesn't recognize my phone. When I do mobile deposits, my number pad does not automatically pop up, which is mildly annoying. The fact that I can only go back 90 days... 60 days? Whichever one it is, it's not nearly enough. There is no Elegance to this app.

Used to love this app until about a week ago. It won't let me log in. Keeps telling me I have to update to the latest version before having access again. Came to the google play store and no updates available. Uninstalled the app and installed again and same message come up.

It's a basic banking app, gets the job done but it's behind on the latest innovations. Sometimes I have to enter my password to log into it but other times I have to log into my account using my 4 digit pin and it does this randomly. Why can't we just log in using the fingerprint reader if available? Most other banking apps have this, it's just becoming a standard in apps for quick login. There is some blurb on the bank website about being able to use Apple touchID and Android Fingerprint, but the app doesn't support Android Fingerprint and I'm not sure about Apple TouchID but if it's anything like Android, I doubt it works for Apple iPhone users too.

Garbage.logs me out constantly. Pin number stops working forcing you to enter a new one, won't let you reuse one you already have used. I am running out of four digit numbers I can remember.... Cheap #$%^&ing bankers, foreclose on some little old ladies house, sell it to one of your cronies and throw that cash towards a decent app for us working stiffs. The permissions this app requires are as creepy as a children's birthday rent a clown with bloodstains on his suit.

The app is OK. One thing that is annoying is that a savings account that I had closed is still visible in the app. It's basic though.

App doesn't work! It won't allow me to login. I keep getting a message instructing me to update to the latest version from Google Play, but there haven't been any updates noted for a while. I've uninstalled and reinstalled and still receive the message. Needs to be fixed!

Pretty good app with 2 annoying things... 1. Please remove the stupid fading animation when opening the app! It is very, very annoying to keep tapping 10 to 20 times while the animation fades and you keep trying to click Sign In. 2. I have a Pixel XL2 and the app distorts the camera image when making a mobile deposit. It's very hard to get an accurately sized pic of a check... And it's ten times more distorted if you click Retake Image. Fix these 2 issues and it would definitely 5 stars. Please, please fix these 2 issues. 🙏🏼

This version worked fine with my phone until 8/9/18 when Webster released a new version. The new version is not compatible with my phone as it requires Android 5.0 minimum. The old version no longer works and gives a message that I must upgrade Thanks for screwing it up, Webster.

Frustrating app. I only have it to make deposits, and the deposit/camera function on the Pixel 2 is atrocious -- makes it super difficult to get a clear and usable picture of the check. Webster, please have a developer spend an afternoon on this and fix it. Thanks.

The app keeps telling me that I'm offline when every other apps on my phone connect to the internet what's wrong with this app🤔😡

App crashes upon launch of camera in deposit function, making it useless. Huawei honor 8 phone

I found there's a newer version you have to search for and install to get it to work, you cannot update the original version to the new one.

I downloaded this to my iphone and the camera view is wide-angle making your check look like a long piece of tape, but after snapping it then it clicks into a normal view. Then I tried to submit my first check and for some reason it kept coming up "retake front page" and would not submit. I don't know what was wrong with the front page. I tried it about 25 times. The check was very clear but it had been folded in half then straightened out, so maybe that was it. Will try again the next time but I better have a very clear check!

It is useful to find out a balance in total. But I would like to see my balance after each transaction, like on the website. Also, not be sent back to the app if I am going to the website on my cellphone. I go to the website for that reason. I am out and about, not near a computer and trying to balance my checkbook.

The past few weeks I haven't even been able to use the app because it keeps telling me I need to update but there are no new updates in the Play Store. This is ridiculous.

Just allow people to use Samsung pay instead of this half baked app. The poor service makes me want to switch banks. In fact you probably would be better off switching to a bank that actually understands technology.

It wouldn't let me use it until I updated it, but it was already up to date, so I uninstalled and reinstalled it and I keep getting the same message. It won't let me sign in no matter what.

Webster Bank is a terrible institution and this app is no better. If my HELOC was elsewhere so would I be. I despise Webster in all facets.

I tried to get this working for remote deposit. The App requires a one time log on to the main website to register the phone. I've done that maybe 20 times and called Webster's phone assistance. App simply doesn't work. So? Too bad, so sad.

It was a convenient app, but for a week now it won't allow me to login, saying I need to update the app but there us no update available.

It's typical of almost everything about this bank. I am stuck w them, for a number of reasons.
