This app helped me plan my wedding from start to finish! I was very worried about planning my wedding because I've never held such a large gathering before. But this wedding planner app really did help me keep everything organized and completed in a timely manner!
Loved the planning checklist!!! It made it so easy to plan my whole day without stressing as much as I would have.
The wrong date is picked as my count down date. It also is the date that is sent to vendors when asking questions. Everything I try to fix it, it just goes back to the wrong date. Also why is there no place to contact support in the app?
I like the app, except that it won't let me open any price sheets within the app from vendors. I have to go on the website to open them. Additionally, the countdown widget suddenly stopped showing me the days and switched to months. Mo the is easy to remember, I liked having the number of days displayed on my countdown widget. Unfortunately, I can't find a setting that I can change to switch it back.
Makes wedding planning smoother. I get to ask for pricing on venues directly from the app. It automatically fills my information for a quick email to vendors. Love it!
I could not stay on top of my budget as easily without this app - its helped me organize everything and keep it all in one place. I live the estimated cost vs final costs and seeing payments made. Also the guest list feature has been a big help so far. Wedding wire in general doesnt have many vendors in my area, but as far as the app goes it's been an enormous help!
When I first downloaded this app it seemed great. I thought it was easier to use than any other wedding planning app out there. I have been using it for nearly a year and have relied upon it completely. I regret that decision. My issues are these: 1) whenever attempting to make changes to the budgeting tool, it will completely wipe all of my notes and numbers clean with no way to get it back. 2) the new updates that occur periodically completely change some of the info you have saved. For instance, names and addresses on my guest list were blank, along with whatever important notes I had included. My advice if you plan on using this app is to have a backup of your information, which unfortunately defeats the purpose of this app.
The app is useful for planning a wedding, having the ability to go through your checklist quickly is nice. Also find the forums helpful. The problem is the Personal Assistant in the app. She pops up every time you load the app or change the page. And she makes a loud "POP" noise every time no matter if your phone is on do not disturb or silent. You can close her out by clicking the X on her screen but she will be right back next page you load. Should be able to opt out of her.
This app has many useful features with room for improvement. I like the little countdown on the home page, the ability to message vendors within the app, and many of the planning/organizational tools. However, the UI is very clunky. I find myself getting frustrated trying to navigate to the page i want to get to constantly. I think with a little work, this could become a more seamless app that integrates the useful WeddingWire tools/features very nicely.
It's been very helpful, especially when combined with their website features. That said the budget tool drives me crazy. We had some changes to our budget, and the app made me reset everything in the budget to their estimated cost list. I had already entered in payment info and added/deleted items from their template and I had to re-enter all that info. Later, I had to change our budget again.. With all the stress of planning a wedding already, that's a little thing that really drove me up a wall more than it should have.
I love this app at first. Has a lot of amazing tools to use and helped me start a lot of my wedding! One giant problem i have with this update is the guest list layout. The original layout i had with the household group was so much better and way easier to use. It was much better organized and so simple. Now i have to go through and fix every person thats on my guest list so far. I am currently looking for a new app for the guest list itself because that is one of the most tedious task and i like to see it organized. Not one giant list. Other than that, the app is great for everything else so far. Still using it for other things!
App was decent to start out, but isn't very helpful for a wedding in my rural area. Hardly any vendors to choose from. The guest list was difficult to change unless I already had confirmation and had to assign them a "side". It does have a comprehensive list(maybe more than needed) and the option to delete details that may be considered optional.
With every update there different glitches but there's always something wrong, you can't save vendors you've added, your guest list gets wiped out or the changes you made doesn't save, if it's not one thing on this app it's another and incredible frustrating. So disappointed as it seemed to have such potential with all of the great features of offers. Just wish it would actually work right.
This app has made it so easy for us planning it our selves. The only thing I wish they did was let you put individuals in the vendors. O and your phone is NOT over run with adds. The issue I have had is getting the time set right on it. It was about 15 hrs fast on the count down. I tried serval time even put my zip code in and never could get it to show correct. But is a minor thing. This app has been awesome.
Enjoying the app app far... There is room for improvement as far of ease and flow of information. Such as I wish I could sort messages by favorited vendors not just inbox, unread and archived. Speaking of favorited, it doesn't seem this feature is working 100%. If I merely reach out to a vendor it is automatically favorited. I've tried to unselect "favorite" for some vendors I am not choosing and I am not sure it's working properly. But overall app has a lot of great features and resources.
Very robust wedding planning app. No way to edit the wedding website conveniently from a mobile device. Love the RSVP via web and the ability to customize events. I am looking for more mom and pop vendors, but it is nice to be able to add the vendor you are using even though they are not a vendor through the site. Budget tool is easy to use as it the guest list. Here again you are not really able to link guests in the app, but still very easy to use.
This app was worth 5 stars until they updated it to a worse version of their desktop website. Before, I loved it. The interface was easy to navigate and pleasant to use. They updated it halfway through my engagement and then I tolerated it until my wedding was over. Their website feature isn't great either, as I had too many guests share complaints about it not working for them. Overall, I'm not satisfied and I wish they never changed it.
App doesn't save selections AT ALL on the guest lists. I've deleted one guest at least 15 times, it keeps coming back. It's very slow, and while it offers several useful options for guests, it doesn't show most of them without having to go into that specific guest's name. I wish it worked better because it could be great.
The app is perfect for those that are new to planning weddings, it points you in the right direction of vendors etc. But lately this app has been frustrating tf out of me. It keeps signing me out, I'm juggling several screens all for the wedding of course and each time I go back to the app to edit something it's makes me sign in all over again. It doesn't have the option to save username or anything so I have to type in my entire login info. It's happened to me 4 times in 30 minutes just today
This app is probably fine if you're going to do a very traditional wedding and check those boxes. We are not, and there are things in the budget section that we're not doing (cake, photographs that are being done free my a professional in the family, florist) that I wasn't able to delete as categories. So it kept trying to adjust my budget and drove me so crazy I had to give up.
Lacks diversity of vendors. In looking for hair stylist that specializes in and have experience working with black women with natural hair textures, the results were were truly low to nothing. I would encourage Wedding Wire to look at current platform and develop methods to attract, retain and support these stylist who specializes in black hair textures as this a segment of population that's deeply undeserved.
Very convenient in today's paperless world. You don't have to be extremely savvy with technology to set up your own website. It would be nice if the site had the ability to send text invites to Guests as you add them. Currently, email is the primary means of sending invites and you must copy/paste the URL into multiple text messages if you don't have a person's email address.
I've only been on the app for a few minutes and already have issues. 1. I tried to add a photo to our website and I cannot adjust it. I have to keep editing the photo, go back to the app, go back to the edit website and see if the edited photo fits. 2. I was checking out the registry and it sent me to a sign up page. I entered my info and it kept telling me I had an invalid email. Not sure why I was having to sign up to go to a different section of your app. Too many issues to soon.
Sometimes it glitches and I have to close it down and reopen the app rather than that it's actually a break it up. Had everything you need all in one place.
