Cheap and easy way to read tons of great manga. Biggest problem is that sometimes the panels were laid out in such a way that you are supposed to be looking at two pages at once which makes you rotate your phone to see it properly but then the text is kind of small. That's an understandable limitation though.

Been using this app for years and it it the best way to experience manga in English. The apps lay out is pretty bare bones, but it makes up for it in it's reader, which is maybe the best comic reader for at the moment. That said, there are several titles that can't be accessed on the app due to age restrictions that can't be changed from what I can tell. Not deal breaking, but there are several great titles that won't get a shot due to this.

The app definitely does its job, but it feels dated. My biggest issue is how sensitive it is when you try to zoom in on a page, which when zoomed in, reveals that the pages are not the best quality. Not sure why the official app wouldn't want to display the highest quality possible. It's not so noticable on a phone screen, But I imagine it would be a lot more apparent on a tablet.

Overall it's been a grate experience. You get to read 100 chapters in a day wich to me seams like a grate deal. Plus if you need to go offline you can have chapters downloaded so you can read without internet which is amazing for long car trips. For the price that you pay it's a pretty awesome deal. (I highly suggest you guys check out the reading list and try the free trial out to see for yourself)

Same as the other, fairly good content but poor app design spoiling the experience. After I finish a chapter, I want to go straight to the next one and not to a screen to select it with a buying option underneath. This is no different from an ads and it kills the immersion. If I pay a monthly subscription, I don't want to see this. 🤷

This is a great service! the fee for membership is scant, and it offers an immense library of great comics. and even with the free version, anybody is able to catch the latest chapter of the big thing. I'd give it 5 stars, if not for the foibles of the app itself, which feels somewhat stiff and offers little convenience or quality of life. zooming in on pages can be difficult, and closing the app and reopening always takes it to the home screen, but these are just nitpicks

This app is perfect, there is no reason to not use it to read all your favourites. Not only is it extremely affordable, it is easy to use and it has a wide selection. Only two complaints are that the web version dosn't sinc with this and the UI can make it hard to just re-read a single chapter, but generally speaking I havent had any major issues and will recommend to all my friends.

The app is not perfect. But it is very good. The free version offers streaming of the three most recent chapters. The subscription offers access to many series and the ability to download chapters to read offline with a limit of 100 chapters a day. While you can hit that limit if spending an entire day reading you can download chapters the day before extending the limit just enough. After a few months of using the app I'm quite satisfied with it. Though a larger catalogue would always be welcome

Great, but missing some manga that is on their site. I've used it for a good while and I have no issue paying for it, but it's missing some manga for practically no reason. Everyone is talking about dandadan for example, but I can't read it here, and I don't like reading manga through browsers. I would give it 5 stars if it included everything.

Good app with room for improvement. I really wish we were able to customize the controls because it can be awkward to use one handed in your right hand. Being able to scroll through pages more Webtoon style would make this a 5 star experience as SJ's content is excellent and deserves an excellent UI.

Better offline experience needed. As a paying customer with a limited mobile data plan, not being able to open the app unless your online is ridiculous. You give an option to download comics with a limited time attached already, you should be able to access those whether online or off. The manga reading portion of the app is great, credit where it's due.

Shonen jump is great but this app simply doesn't work. Can't download, can't read. And when it does work loading time is incomparably slow. This is not an internet issue on my end as other apps and web browsing work just fine. They should raise the fee or offer a higher tier with dedicated servers to clear this up.

Really great app, it's convenient, it's cheap, it's high quality. I've used it since the day it released. My BIGGEST issue is that I got a new phone earlier this year, but when I installed the app on this phone and logged into my account NONE of my read history is present so I have no idea what chapter I was on for a ton of series. Please tie the read history to the account and not the app/phone!!!

The amount of value in this app is astounding. Each series generally has the first three chapters free to read, with some series having the last three chapters also free to read. For the rest of the chapters, you have to be a Premium member to access, which as of April 26, 2022, is $1.99 USD per month. However, a few series are only available in Volume form, each around $5-7* USD. Overall, this is a great and affordable service, and I look forward to soon becoming a premium member.

This is an awesome app to read manga on. It's only $2.99 a month to read a whole library of manga titles; every chapter of each title is available on the app. The latest chapters of series such as One Piece and My Hero Academia are free and are published at the same time as in Japan. The app itself works great on smartphones with practically non-existent load times for each page. Each page is presented as clearly as in the physical graphic novels.

The app really is nice, but it still has some things it could do better. The zooming is SUPER sensitive, you could move your fingers a milimeter and it will zoom all the way. If you sign SJ trough the a web browser on mobile The zoom sensitivity is BETTER than the app itself, which ironic. I've tested this on different devices to see if its just me, but its was all the same. I have some Pet peeves with the app, but the zoom sensitivity is something that really ruins the reading experience.

Subscription is cheap and affordable for all. So affordable even a 5 year old can pay it even though it's like that because of certain problems (no big deal or even small) but besides that the app hasn't given me any problems and I have had it for more than a year. Content is updated, has an extensive library and I'm just content with what I'm reading and that's just great.

Lis. I. Apr 29, 2022

It not only does it not sync up with the web version, but my phone app doesn't even sync up with the one I have on my tablet. As someone who switches between devices a lot this is seriously annoying. Good selection of titles though.

Mic. S. Apr 15, 2022

mostly my issues with the jump app are minor, and the value from the subscription is huge! But I think the missing feature is some kind of comment system or a way to vote up or indicate your favorite manga. Many manga in the app mention the Jump Surveys and how important they are, so I'd like to be able to participate in that in some way.

Old. J. S. May 15, 2022

I like that I can go back and read some of the classics, and some of the new stuff is entertaining as well. $2 can't really be beaten, either. The UI is pretty bare bones, and it's missing some of the titles they used to run back in the late 00's but other than that it's a great app for manga readers.

And. C. May 12, 2022

App works very well whenever you are connected to internet or are in offline mode. However, NEVER try to use it whenever your connection is bad. Either go offline or wait for a better connection. Everything else is amazing.

Ala. R. May 11, 2022

Works well enough and the subscription price is more than reasonable. I really wish the zoom function was more sensitive and I had more control over it. Especially on a phone

Rhi. M. Apr 18, 2022

Very solid app. It doesn't cost much to access its full library and has an easy to use interface. Although it has a daily limit of one hundred chapters, keep that in mind if you're someone who reads a lot. if more manga outside of shonen jump could be accessed this way I would happily pay for it.

Sri. S. May 4, 2022

This app especially looks incomplete the app has an enormous amount of bugs. Cloud sync of your account with the web version is not there downloading chapters is hard.No bookmarking features. Only plus on this is it's official. And it does not even have a lot of titles in the vault.

Bas. f. R. Apr 27, 2022

There's just one thing for me. When reaxhing the end of a chapter, I usually swipe once more to bring up the page in-between chapters (with rhe option to buy the volume or continue) but it doesn't always do that. Sometimes I have to back out to the chapter list and then select the chapter after the one I just finished. I know it's small but it's been bothering me for a bit.

Mis. S. Apr 24, 2022

Having simulpub is the crown jewel of the app. without it, there are better options for digital jump, in higher quality too. 100 chapters per day is brutal for die-hard readers, but it's only an issue when catching up on series.

Dan. F. Mar 18, 2022

The contents is great, the temporary downloads are handy. The subscription is very cheap for the amount of contents it gives you. But the app itself is, incredibly unreliable. Sometimes it works great, no issues. But most of the time it is horribly slow. Literally minutes to open a previously downloaded chapter. Minutes to load up the main page. Why? who knows. Just a broken app.

Wes. I. Apr 15, 2022

I've been a subscriber for years, and the new manga available is amazing. I've been trumpeting it on every platform available... but come this update, I can't recommend it anymore. There is no search function, no way to add a favorite, no way to bookmark, no way to show you've read a chapter. There's a giant backlog and no good way to read through it. These are basic functions in every reader app, including Crunchyroll. I want this to succeed, but for me, it's unusable right now.
