Really buggy app. You can't add a geo-fence because no matter where you tap or what you search, it just says no address. The augmented reality (camera) mode crashes the app 9 times out of 10. If you tap "Support" in the menu it just says "Thank you for your message we'll reply in 24 hours" without even asking me to input a message! This cannot have been tested before release, it's full of bugs!
I have used this for almost 2 years now. Periodically I test the units and up until recently they seem to work well. However last week, for the first time, my daughter had a genuine emergency and used the tracker to contact me. It didn't work. Thankfully no disaster, but it prompted me to start testing much more. On average emergency button only works 50% of the time during last 2 weeks. I have contacted support, they blamed a server issue! Beware, single point of failure!! Can't be relied upon.
Used the tracker for three months to learn about my cat's territory. Worked quite fine. However, they do not let you cancel your subscription at all. At first, the respective button is disabled with a note, that you can only cancel two days before your subscription runs out (which is already illegal in the EU, btw). Then, during the last two days of your subscription, the button is still disabled and the support just tells you to use the button (completely ignoring the issue).
Generally very good! Peace of mind, most of the time, but ... drops the sat signal too frequently resulting in out-of-date position; needs a mains charger as 'USB only' is a pain (need to be able to charge it anywhere). Not sure about the vibrate/voice function ... would think it would freak him out!! Other than that, 'Stan' gives it a thumbs up 👍 Update: app no longer working at all on tablet or my partner's phone (which is the main requirement)
An excellent product. Our experience is that thhe GPS is very accurate (although the satellite image is a little out of position). We can check where our cat is at any time and being able to set boundaries that trigger an email or mobile alert if the cat crosses them is helpful. A future development would be to have the ability to create a freeform boundary rather than just a circular one. The history feature is also very good, being able to see where the cat has been can be quite enlightening!
Great app to locate our dog. We have no fences and he is free to wander our valley but using the app we can see just where he is and also where he has been!
generally a good piece of kit. GPS is sometimes slow to catch up though. battery life on a one minute refresh gives well over 24 hours use and charging is relatively quick. our cat is quite small and the tracker appears quite large on him but the weight of the tracker does not cause him any problems. overall very satisfied with the product.
We have been using the Weenect on 2 cats for a few years ago now. We choose this because of a number of reasons but one main one was the ability to make it ring so we could find the cats even in deep undergrowth. We know it saved one of our boys when he was attacked by a fox and would not come home. with out the tracker and being able to ring it we would not have found him!
Sometimes I find the position inaccurate - I go looking for my cat as the tracker says he's in a garden 50 meters away but I find him outside the front door. This happens frequently. Battery lifetime is a bit rubbish - I have to charge it every 24 hours. My last one my cat lost, I used the tracker to try and trace it but couldn't find it, although this has been helpful in the past.
Buggy. Cannot use app to create a geofence more than few km from where the device was first registered. YOU CAN IF YOU LOG IN ONLINE. Device is useful where there is a strong 2g signal and useless where there isn't. Set your phone to 2g only and check your bars before you purchase. Otherwise - small, powerful, holds charge well, accessories overpriced. Edit: using for 1st time in weeks, after 20 minutes in park unit is still 'not connected' and I can't make it connect. Next to useless.
It took nearly 2 months of questioning & emails to finally get the "Save" icon on the previous version 4.15.9. Now, with this update its gone again. Why do I get 2 messages, timed the same, for "Tracker Is Turned On" & "Tracker Is Turned Off". The new GUI is awful, not at all user friendly or even logical. . Updated today. 23/09/19 This update is useless. Whatever I do I get " unable to get position is your locater turned on". Yes it is. Still 2 messages Works fine on previous version of App
Amazing app. We finally alow our cat to move freely cuz we know we can find her any time. So also when we travel she can go exploring on her own and we are still able to find her when we want to move to the next place. Thank you for such an amazing app. One thing I am missing is to be able to turn on the light on the tracker, so I could more easely see her at night.
App is user friendly. GPS reporting time from every 30 secs to an hour. The lightning feature searches for the tracker every 10 secs for 5 minutes if you lose your pet. The history feature shows where your pet has been or you can look at your pets activity in kms etc. You can set a geofence and have alerts if your pet leaves an area like your garden. Not accurate for our area. Shows pet leaving garden when they haven't. Overall a good app and tool but shouldn't replace good supervision
Since the update can't use terrain view when looking at the history. This is a step back. Also, Premium maps 😂 I already subscribe with an annual fee, I definitely won't be paying more. Things like this turn me off to be honest and make me consider the alternatives
Since last update yesterday I've been unable to connect. I receive the notification of low network even on 4G and multiple WiFi networks that clearly provide full throughput. As it is the app is useless which is unfortunate as going through the website is an extra step and not as easy as just using my phone.
This tracker is just what I wanted...finds my dog right to the path she is on in the park! Easy to set up and use and can be used by multiple people. Have attached it to harness as even though it is small, my dog is too small for attachment to a collar! Is definitely waterproof, my dog tested this theory by leaping into a pond! Finally only one flaw, if you go to turn it on, whilst it is already on, it sends an alert out, a slight flaw only. Definitely recommend it.
