Searching got even worse with last update. The app seems to need more mainframe, plain and simple. The search feature is very weak and balky with horrible truncation. Simple & very specific searches with few or no common words turn up hundreds of items - there should be no more than a few. The developer needs to be able to get Boolean searching functioning. BTW other users IIRC Wegmans never sells your information and the request for a phone # is because there are no more plastic shoppers cards.
5-6-22 the coupon clip buttons are only half showing. Makes things difficult. Why is there no way to apply a filter that shows the unclipped coupons? Strange. It only filters clipped coupons. I keep seeing the same coupons I clipped and have to try and fimd unclipped ones. Fix this plz..wastes my time as is. I just want to clip the unclipped. There arent many. Fix.
While better than the GIANT app, this still has a lot of issues. Constantly yelling me something isn't available when I scan it into the app, the search is laggy and often times unresponsive. I've been using this app for three years, I believe and nothing has been fixed, if anything updates have made it worse.
Items that are not in stock should be identified while shopping, this app doesn't do that. It waits until checkout then wants you to pick alternates. The notification that you are at the store for pickup has been broken for many months, you need to use a web browser for that. The integration with Instacart spams you via SMS including other alternate selections, all need to be selected via web browser. It's a Wegmans app just so they can claim they have an app. It's very broken!
Update 5/26/22 The latest iteration of this app is sooooo slow, it makes creating a shopping list painful. It takes 20 seconds plus to add a single item to your list. So, you tap the add button again, and end up with 2! Again, a great customer service company let us peons down. PLEASE FIX IT!
Over the past 6 months, the app has been extremely buggy. It doesn't allow me to open up past receipts. It often displays an error message saying "Oops! there was an error. Reload or Go Back Home". Reload doesn't work.
You're not getting my phone number so you can sell it to 3rd parties! Not happening! A grocery store club card doesn't need a phone number "for security purposes". You can verify through email. I guess I'll be uninstalling your app now. I won't be missing much since it was super slow and many times inaccurate. Coupons were never for anything I wanted to buy
90% of products including Wegmans products when scanned, come up not found. Eveytime they do an update, it gets worse. Can no longer use scanner even when permission is correctly set. Wish they leave it alone.
One of the most frustrating apps I've ever used. Search function is HORRIBLE - you can NEVER find what you're looking for, even Wegmans brand items don't show results. Scanning barcodes never works either...even with items bought FROM WEGMANS! The entire experience is clunky and takes way too long to put an order together. I can walk through the entire store in the same time it take to place an order on this app. They need a new team of developers and UI/UX designers.
Stop removing items from my shopping list when they go out of stock. We keep seeing stuff go missing because they're out of stock. I can buy another item it just is there to remind me what we need. Terrible app that just keeps getting worse and worse.
Useless, doesn't work. App never gets past a blank white screen. I've uninstalled the app multiple times, cleared the cache, etc, still nothing.
If I put something on the list, it shouldn't disappear just because it's currently out of stock. Just grey it out or something so I can get it next time. Put items back in the order of the flow of the store, instead of the random order they're in currently. There was a previous version of this app that was great. Very disappointed in this version.
Can't use app to complete pickup. My wife and I use the same sign in, so if she orders pickup I should be able to pick up all within the app not have to ask her to send me the pickup link through sms. Bad design
Horrible. I made an order show shopping. If the store doesn't have it in stock then it should be said on the webpage for that store. I wasted my time making a list and to find out they don't have any of it. It is terrible at searches. I can't believe use it and it has a 4.3 rating.
I like using the app, but one big bug now is that I can't shop use the department list, it never loads. Now I just have to search similar words to what I am looking for, so it takes so much longer and is not really practical.
The app is fine, but I CAN'T STOP the STUPID UNIMPORTANT ADVERTISING notifications!!! I don't care if there's a sale on Bolognese sauce and I do NOT want a reminder about Valentines day!!! I just want notifications about my order. The only notifications options in app pertain to important order notifications, so I can't turn it off there. I'm about ready to block all notifications at the Android level from this app.
Demands phone number. All newsletter email spam auto checked. No apparent way to view privacy policy or opt out of data sharing.
The fact that the previous day's receipts don't show up yet and it often takes days for them to show up is inexcuseable. You also need to be able to make returns using digital receipts. It's not ok that you can't. It's 2022.
I love the ease of making a shopping list on here and being able to see where everything is! It's especially nice having evertything laid out in order by aisle starting from the entrance. I only shop at Wegmans now for my big shops because of it.
After not using the app for some time, I repeatedly received an error message asking to reload. I tried reinstalling the app, but received the same error.
After the update I cannot login. I tried to contact customer service who said IT had fixed it, alas they did not...please make sure updates are good before releasing them.
I just had the worst meal ever! The seseme chicken was somewhat warm & the chicken was awful! Literally chicken scraps! I'd like my money refunded in full
I shop at Wegmans regularly, use this app, use the Wegmans Scan app, etc. Not very many issues. One star for this app because: even after unchecking every possible notification option in the app, I'm still receiving push notifications. Not even for anything necessary: just a reminder about Valentines Day, as if I wasn't already aware. One star and uninstall.
The latest update wrecked the app, it's slow, unresponsive. Update please!
The app is now requiring a phone number to sign in. Wegmans doesn't need my phone number and shouldn't require it to sign in to the app.
Great store, terrible app. Very slow and buggy. Hangs without warning. Interface overly complex. Fairway app is still the best grocery app with a clear, simple interface and painless user experience.
I could talk until I'm blue in the face about how much I love Wegmans, but the app could use a little fine tuning. I'd love to not only see more pictures of the products but also tap on them and zoom in, like most other apps/sites. The check in process for curbside pickup is very confusing. Why I'm not able to just open my order history, select my current order, and tell them I'm at the store is beyond me.
Wegmans has gotten more expensive lately. However, their store brand products are Always of Quality and Dependable. I have given up buying other "store brand" sodas, and many other items get a 2nd or 3rd look before I'll purchase.
There's a lot that's wrong with this app -- too many to list. But one thing that always annoys me is when I open an item page from the search results, and then press "return/back" on my phone, it takes me to my previous search (or home page) instead of the search I was currently looking at. I know there's an "x" in the corner to close the window and keep the current search results, but this isn't how any other app works. Don't even get me started on how absurdly baffling the search results are.
