Weight GURUS

It had been a while since I used the app, about 8 months. Once i tried to reconnect my phone to it (same phone, with the same app), it would not connect. I tried several times. I entered my network settings, it showed connected on my phone, but still failed to synk with phone. I deleted the app all together and started fresh. Still would not connect. Very disapointed........

Does what's advertised but lacks any of the other basics. You can't delete incorrect weight entries. Oh someone else wanted to use your weighing scale and it incorrectly identifies them as you? I guess you weight 10 lbs more than you did 5 minutes ago. Can you delete it? Nope. That's now forever incorrectly part of your progress graph. Are they going to fix this? Based on how long this app has been up and how many changes have been made to it? Nope. Good luck. Never make a mistake.

Not Syncing. Why?! That's one of the selling points of the scale and app. It worked a few times, but now it wouldn't work if the app was open, and the phone was next to the scale. When it worked, it was great. And it synced with other health apps (Fitbit, My Fitness Pal, etc.) But since it's not working, I may as well dump the app and manually enter my stats into these other apps that do work. Just goes to show that we can't be reliant on technology to do everything.

Well now it's been a while and I have to admit that despite the initial hitches, I really like this scale and its system. ------ So I literally had to go through the set up 8 times but it seems to be working well now. Remove the scale from your account and reset it if all else fails ------- Scale won't sync so it's worthless compared to a normal scale that'd cost half as much.

I've just started using the app and scale, and so far I like what I'm seeing. Pairing the scale with my phone [via Bluetooth] was effortless. The scale closely matches my doctors' scales, with minor variation as you'd expect with different clothing. The only thing I don't like so far is its apparent inability to require a password to open the app. Other than that, it's good!

I like the simplicity of the app but it would be great to be able to set a separate goal for "Body Fat" or "Muscle Mass". But the main thing I would ABSOLUTELY love would be the ability to use the app to cycle through all of the "SET" functions from the scale. Like a simple remote control through your phone. I'd give it 5 stars if it had that ability!!!

It's fine. But, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this product. It generally works about 95% of the time, but the interface is not great. It's very buggy. Further, the customer service is not that great. The representative that I was speaking with didn't seem to believe me or sympathize with the issues that I had. If you can, get whatever device that is recommended with your ecosystem (fitbit, apple, underarmour). We'll be switching to a fitbit scale soon.

I first started using this app and scale almost 3 years ago. I had replaced my bluetooth scale thinking this was also like that. The description was a little deceiving. I kept it and have been satisfied with it. I had to sync my phone by scanning a code every time I weighed myself. I adjusted and it was fine. I decided to upgrade and happened to get another scale in the same product line that uses bluetooth to sync. I am so much happier now. I was able to keep my account and all of my entries.

Syncs fine with scale. The app needs a little help. Doesn't always sync with my fitbit app, have to add manually. Also, I want to change my starting weight for my goals, and there is no save button. So I can't get an accurate number for total weight lost so far. If you can help with these, I will change rating to 5 stars!

Really liked the earlier version, I hate that you can no longer see daily weight fluctuations when you try to look at the year at large, that was really great for being able to understand how my eating effects my weight loss. Please bring that back. Also, I hated to see the encouragement robot go, that was a really nice thing, and I wish it were still an option.

i like this app because it does what it is supppsed to do. They were also very responsive when I emailed fir support. However, I gave three stars because the barcode reader doesn't pick up the barcode on the scale, so I have to enter my info manually. But, worse is the fact that there is no way for me edit esrlier entry errors, so one measurement has a sharp, but inaccurate, drop off that affects the annual trend. Edit is a basic feature that should be available.

Unfortunately, I had to delete this app from my Android phone. I am using the latest release of Android on a Google Pixel XL device. After much trial and error, and doing a factory reset of my device, I narrowed down a random phone re-boot issue to this scale app. The app itself is/was easy to use, but very basic and seems like it hasn't been updated in a while. I bought a different scale for my wife, and the competitor's app provides WAY more useful data, and graphs of her progress. I will likely be buying another scale for myself, specifically because of this app. The scale is not very useful for me if I cannot use the associated app.

For months, this has been a useful app, combined with a useful scale. In the last two weeks, however-- since the Feb. 11 update, it has stopped syncing twice. The first time, deleting and reinstalling worked. Not now, however. I hope the tech team will fix this. Otherwise, more reviews like this will be going up-- and their sales going down if people look at the review. Please get to work.

I can see why the app is rated so low. All I wanted was to weigh myself. Now I'm subject to frustration investing way more time than anyone would like, into setting up an account? For a scale?? Take the complications out of your product or remain subpar. This here is a perfect case of technology being poorly implemented into a product. "... committed to creating 5-star products." Back to an analog scale we go!

Used to work ok, but can no longer get the scale to pair at all. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app, restarting the phone, enabling and disabling Bluetooth on the phone, restarting and factory-resetting the scale, but it still refuses to pair. Just spins for a while until the scale gives up and shows E1. Using a Pixel 3a on Android 10, and I pair to other Bluetooth devices regularly without issue. Totally useless app now.

I bought a Bluetooth scale and installed this app to have all my weigh-in details synced from scale to app. It does not work. I have to manually enter every weight entry, and none of the other health statistics work. Also, there is a random entry for August 2031 that I did not input (the app doesn't let you use future dates) but which I cannot delete (you can't delete entries). I was so excited for this but have been disappointed in every way conceivable. Returning the scale and deleting the app

UPDATE (7/25/2019): Emailed support per request. No response. Don't know if it's the scale, the app or just the connection, but I'm a rather knowledgeable tech user and set up the scale for 2 users with 2 phones. Immediately after setup the data will sync. Never after that. Shouldn't have to set this up from scratch each time so just use it as a regular scale. Would not have purchased had I known this would be a problem. See others having the same issue. #LovePayingToBeABetaTester

I loaded the app and it worked well then I opened it today and all my data is gone. I uninstalled and reinstalled to see if that would help but it just goes to the set up scale menu. It started working again right after I posted my initial review. I really do enjoy the app. It is very handy to be able to scan the app and have all my info in it. I also appreciate the quick response from the developer.

I've been using this App and scale going on 3 years. And while the scale no longer syncs to my Samsung S5, it does continue to sync to my iPhone 8. There are times when the scale has dropped both devices, and I needed to re-sync the scale. The iPhone syncs immediately, however the Samsung S5 is now a lost cause. And the Samsung S5 sits on the end table right next to the scale and is never moved as I only kept the phone for the scale. The iPhone I carry with me. So while there are the occasional glitches, its been well worth the money.

This app is completely useless, only syncs from the scale about 50 percent of the time and only when you have the app open and looking at it. Integration with Fitbit does not work at all. I use the scale as a plain old scale and manually enter the data into Fitbit, much less of a headache then trying to get it to work, especially when all support does is tell you to log out then in, then clear data and log in, then uninstall and reinstall and log in and then ultimately scratch their head.

I do like this app over all but its been the same thing forever. They never add new features. It gives you some good basics and graphs but its a very limited app otherwise. Also I dont think the weight percentage breakdown works so accurately with their scales. You're water weight and muscle mass would not be the same for 2 years especially when you're weight training 4-5 days a week....so theres that too.
