Needs two small fixes... The percentage of the main exercise should refer to the exercise the additional is under.. Right now it's a percentage of the press, whether it's in the squat or deadlift or bench.. Etc. The other small fix is when it goes from one cycle to the next it should update to the new 1rm amount.
To change the 2.5 increment, check the settings, you can make it 5 lbs. I love the reps to beat feature the most. It's made 531 easier to process, less calculating for error. Clean lollipop theme. Love how it gives you the perfect warmup scheme. Thank you so much!
Clean interface, material design, ability to add accessory lifts, backup... the list goes on for things this app does right. One thing I would like to be changed: add set and reps for additional lifts. This app has it all if you want to do 5/3/1 of any flavor.
Simple to set up and use, but adjusting settings later isn't very intuitive. I currently have a bug where 2 exercises have advanced an entire cyle, and I can't find a setring to revert them to the previous cycle.
I have made use of this app for about 5 cycles now and have come to rely on it. The only suggestions I would make for immediate improvement are: 1) once you get to the deload week (#4 in the cycle) when you finish the lifts of the "main" activity (DL, bench, etc) the app immediately shows week 4 of the next cycle!! This different response is confusing. For the previous 3 weeks, the app would cross this area as "done" and check it off. The different response confused me into to thinking that the app didn't record the info from the deload week. 2) please include a "calculate what plates to add" feature. Great work otherwise.
The app behaves nicely and looks good but as soon as you want to change your weight within the same working week you're boned. Probably only useful for people who follow this specific programme.
Great app, love it! One small tweak I would love to see impemented would be seperate rounding for different lifts, 5 for example is great for squats and deadlifts but not small enough for OHP and bench and 2.5 is annoyingly small for big lifs. Other than that, keep up the great work :)
First time writing an app review, this is a sweet app. Saves alot of time and effort, just punch in the numbers are you are good to go. Just need to fix week 4 (deload) and get rid of typing part of the 3 set.
Don't really like "rep or set goal" for additional exercises. Really need both. It would he great if you could add notes for individual exercises as well instead of the overall workout. Otherwise great.
I'd love to see the app get a graph section added. As far as coding goes this would be one of the easiest yet also one of the best additions you could make.
For additional exercises have the input allow a set X Rep X weight. I want to be allowed to break down my sets.
Please allow for cloud backup of progress. I just had to switch to a new phone and found myself dual wielding phones just so I could continue my progress at the gym.
Please add a skip deload week option. Right now i can train only twice a week and a deload week won't be necessary yet. Would be nice if we can do this. Thanks!
Just started using this app, its easy and simple to use. A nice additional feature would be to have graphs showing your old workouts to give a visual representation of progression.
Only thing I would like added, is a rep AND set count for the additional exercises. Other than that it's the best.
Perfect except it would be good to separate reps and sets for assistance work. I think this could be done without changing the uncluttered feel of the app.
Great app for the 531 program. One feature I'd explore would be to allow users to change the weight used for their sets. 182.5 is tough with no 1.25 plates.
It's does the math for you, all you have to do is go to the gym and do the physical part. It even gives you a warm up routine, thanks.
Love the Google template simplicoty, for some reason other apps seem to want you to struggle to manage the mrnus, not this one tho. Easy as writing in a workout diary but a lot more handy. Thank you for the app!
Nice app. Would like to see the addition of a Boring but Big section for each main lift
App is great, but we really need the ability to skip deload week, I don't like to deload unless I need to. Would be 5 stars with this feature.
Like alot of others I would give 5 stars if I could set number of sets and reps not just one for additional exercises. Otherwise amazing app!
The timer could be moved a bit north to see upcoming weights simultaneously. Also would like the screen to remain on while I train. Awesome job!
