Poor experience, the oldest way to send money but the slowest way ,that's even if I won't have to cancel and resend or wait two months for the money to still not be able to be picked up by the receiver, the most absolute embarrassing way to send money to a friend " urgent" and still has to wait 3 days to pick up. Why charge 16 $ for urgent delivery if it's not available for pick up immediately.
Even after app update. I'm still having issues. It seems slower. I've been trying to open the app for 5 min. It keeps saying loading. I closed it, reopen, same thing. I'm about to delete it for good. Not worth the hassle.. Now it won't even open. I keep getting an error message. I took a screenshot but there's no way to share it on here. Used to be a good app
This app is BS!!! Everytime I try to send money tells me to choose a different payment method. I selected all of them and keeps saying the same. Now, I try to open it and says the app isn't available. Plus, doesn't matter the amount I select keeps saying they can't send that amount. Don't waste your time.
It's been super convenient to send using just the app. Most of time it work good but sometimes, it will keep on giving you errors. Bank to Bank transfer overseas were free and now it's $1.99 for anything under $1000. Used to be that your transfer is delivered to the bank overseas almost instantly and now it's taking longer. Customer service says your transfer says it will be there in 0-4 days so it is still within the time given. It's annoying when you expect that it will be there and it isn't.
Well the 1st thing is every time sending out the money everything goes smoothly, I have no problems,but every time I try to use my points I'm always having problems either I have to call the agent or have to keep on trying over and over again to see if it goes through it makes me mad. frustrated because it's so easy for you to get the money, what you charge me,But when it comes to me getting a discount it's always problems In getting my discount and it's been a while that I haven't used it.
I hate using your company. If i had another choice i would use it. I use another app for my password. Yet i have to reset that password all the time because your system says its wrong. Then when i try to reset the password your system tells me my username is wrong. Both of the items are recorded and entered using an app. This same app creates, remembers, and enters these items for all my app. Your app and website are the only ones i have this consistent problem with.
It was really good about six months ago and after all the updates and partnership the app suddenly has multiple technical difficulties? Come on now. It something wasn't broke why fix it? Now you've broken it and cant seem to fix it.
Outstanding app! I have been using Western Union for years. But I would always have to run to a local agent and pay their fees or I would have to stop at a Walmart. Having this app simplifies things greatly and it's so easy to use. Perfectly understandable simple user interface. I can't say enough good about the app. Dr. Dennis Globosky
The app is very easy to use, but it doesn't seem to scan credit cards properly on my phone for some reason. All other apps scan perfectly from my phone but, again, the WU app doesn't. Maybe you all should look into this issue. Also, I'm not sure if you guys accept AMEX; however, I did notice the VISA, Mastercard & Discover icons inside the shopping cart area. Other than that, the app is great! I love the user interface of this application especially.
1. The menu has a good dark option that makes it more legible, but every other screen is bright and white and in your face, making it an overall unpleasant experience in darker environments 2. This new version can calculate dollars to pesos but it Cannot calculate in reverse, pesos to dollars, as the previous version COULD. 3. WU does not seem to respond to feedback, nor forward customer suggestions to the appropriate department for consideration.
What seems to be a simple process in the past became like a loop. First the card is not working. Then the suggested change my address on profile, to delete the app, then the bank, then back to WU again... they couldn't even identify what is the issue. All this long process to end up with a tech team. Hello tech guys... :( :( :(
Great app, easy to use, very intuitive. Would have given all five stars if the developers provide a better interface for when limits are reached. The mobile app shows only the code, on the web the error message is more verbose. Overall, not always clear why the limit is reached and it gets cleared in few days.
A while back, I tried correcting the app to my new address it kept reverting to my old address. Recently, I used it and saw that they listened and updated the app. The app's interface now runs much more smoothly. I only wish we had the same price point options online than in store. One price for urgent, one price for 1 day, and one price for 2 day but for online.
I love Western Union it saves me from going to the store and having to wait in a long line I mean this ain't nothing but s and I haven't had a problem or issue yet it really saves me a lot of time from having to go inside the store I love this app connects with anything better.
All this app is, is a good idea. Nothing about it is convenient. It ALWAYS freezes up and they charge for your convenience. Was being charged $36.99 on the app to send monet so I went to the supermarket and paid $7.50 for the same transaction. SMH
This app is ok. They charge pretty high fees to send money abroad. Now what I don't understand is why Haiti isn't listed as one of the Countries you can receive money from. On the other hand, you can send money to Haiti. Why the double standard? As I'm pretty sure Haiti is one of the Countries for which you have the most transactions. Update question for 2022 Have you thought about allowing us to cash money orders from the app itself? Thank you
Takes 4 or 5 times to open app. Crashes. Interface is good, but how about making it so the app actually OPENS! Attempt to apply points with resend option, doesn't work, lose the points you attempt to redeem. What a POS app.
Difficult at first.I'm not a techy. It took several tries to complete. Hope I did it right.This is so much easier than standing in line at a currency exchange to post money.Still cannot redeem my points to get the fee erased. Why make it so hard? Why can't it just be taken off automatically when enough points are accumulated?
Updating is impossible. No reason to use the app, after 4 hours, the update just spins and spins. So trustworthy they can take your money but can't even make an app correctly.
NEVER USE WESTERN UNION. I made a transfer and they could not deliver it same day as stated on transfer so I asked for a refund and I have been waiting for nearly a month to get my money back. They are quick in taking the money for the transfer but take their sweet time processing refunds. I will never use their service again!
Very easy to use. It keeps points for discounts later. If you made an error you can fix it via phone but they are helpful. Keeps a list of all receivers and u can send money to inmates as well as Bill pay I have used this app THIS for about 7 years and I still use it to me it worth nit waiting in line and it's 24/7 service
The app makes it convenient to send money to loved ones in other countries and it's way easier than waiting in the grocery store line. However,the developers have some bugs to fix. It takes an extraordinary amount of time to even open the app. I have to do a manual force shut down and reopen it so it works. I would give the app 3 or 4 stars but I want the developers to see this review and this issue fixed.
