Westerra Credit Union Mobile

Too Basic! I've been a Westerra member YEARS before it was WESTERRA. This app is probably one of the most useless products utilized by the credit union. You cannot set travel, freeze/unlock debit cards, and I have yet to be able to get mobile deposits to work. It defeats the point of having a mobile app.

I don't know what happened but since the update to this hideous red color the app either won't load or it crashes constantly. Took me 6 tries to get the app running the other day and it crashed as soon as I tried to ok a transfer.

The version I had prior to the two new updated versions actually worked fine. Now I have to open it at least 5 times before I can actually log in.

Only one thing wrong. Orange color and font outlined in white. I'm a low vision person and need site to be more biewable. Thanks.

Since the latest update the app is useless. Y'all better get this fixed. I'm gonna have to find another bank with an app that works. Update April 2022: this app works well now. Good work 👍

Latest update for my Samsung is broken. I can't open the app. Deleted and reinstalled and does not work

It's too simple, it's missing a lot of features. Also when I set alerts to notify me of my balance I don't need it to remind me of the SAME balance every 6 hours. One (1) notification is enough. I don't need 4 emails a day telling me that I have the same balance as yesterday. Very annoying. And the only way to change those settings is on a computer, not the app so I have to wait until I get on a computer to change it

Nope. Its back to crashing immediately after I open the app. Can't even check my balance.

works as expected. i really have zero issues with it. Update: 5/20/21 Taking 2 stars off my original rating. The app has become very unstable and keeps locking me out my account now. When it launches, it frequently gets stuck at the splash screen. When that happens I can't log into my account from anywhere even the website. You might be better off using the website instead of the app.

It's ok, I would like the user GUI to be more modern, plus new features would always be welcome. Sooner is better than later/never. Thanks 2nd review 11/19, the app is still basic. It gets the job done but would be great if they had a feature to get more details about transactions etc. More features like credit increase request would be nice, being able to live chat would be great. Having a financial education and member benefits feature would be great. Dark theme would be nice.

The app does not have a running total that shows your balance before/after transactions. The app does not show interest charged in the credit card which affects available balance, but you can't see it. The app does not have an option to unlock your account other than calling in. Very inconvenient when you have to re-enroll in the fingerprint option. Can not take a screenshot within the app. Westerra logins as a whole do not work with budgeting apps like Mint either. It will lock you out.

sometimes cannot deposit a check, even when during the same session i already did a successful deposit. tried 3 times on the second check until it completely failed. error is often that the edges or number of the check cannot be read, when other times it can, or eventually i get it to work. too finicky! i use the same lighting conditions every time! white door as the background.

1.Very poor 2. 8 months later and it has crashed yet again still very poor. Hope this credit union is not as poor as its app !

I used to think it was a fine app, if a bit basic. It is now broken, however. It just crashes. :-(

I've tolerated this app for 6 years, but I've finally had enough. I've never been able to connect my account to other apps for convenience such as using my phone to pay for things (Google pay) or automatically investing in stocks (Acorns). But now this POS app crashes all the time and most annoying of all, if I need to transfer money between accounts, I have to RE-ENTER my crazy long, secure password (on mobile) EVERYTIME. Great bank, horrible app!

Loved this app! Update: But doesn't work on my new S22 Ultra running Andriod 12! Update 2: They fixed it now!

Just updated and now it just loads a white screen then goes back to home screen

Glitchy at times, 3/10 attempts to log in unsuccessful. Blocks you out for no apparent reason

I have had westerra for years ( was my first bank account even). Lately I've been having issues with mobile deposit. Also one I open the app I can't click anything. Let's me sign in pulled up my account then I cant click anything Edit: thanks for responding. And the assistance I actually ended up just uninstalling then reinstalling and it works perfect! Anyone with same issue I'd recommend.

Regularly crashes or just won't let you open it, won't show you your account id numbers so you'd have to use a computer which you'd have to use your phone anyways to put in a code. Pretty annoying. When it does work it's nice to be able to switch finances between accounts instantly.

I am updating my comment from 2018 to August 2, 2021. The recently updated (June 2021?)Westerra Mobile App has created cross-platform problems and have rendered it USELESS! When I open the app a window pops up stating that it has detected automated click-programs in combination with the app which are "against Westerra's security policies" , and the app is simultaneously locked/frozen. Prior to the update the app worked just fine with all of my apps. The onus is on Westerra. Reporting to BBB.

The design of this "app" is spartan at best. I cannot file travel notifications when on the go, cannot send a secure message to membership services, and if something should happen to my card (be it lost or stolen), cannot file any sort of claims or automatically shut down my card. Wet toilet paper is more useful than this app.

Seems to have happened after most recent samsung update...Used to work perfectly....I used this app for years using a samsung galaxy s10+ but i upgraded to s22 ultra and havent been able to even get into app. I click app and a 1"x1" westerra logo pops up but nothing happens after that. I uninstalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, checked permissions etc and no luck. Can anyone please help me???

If you have recently ran into the error about automatic click programs and the app no longer works, there is a work around. You can download an app called Shelter and then run the Westerra app in the shelter space and it will work again. Westerra denies there is an issue, so until they figure out the real problem this work around does work.

My Samsung phone just did a software security update. Now the app won't load AGAIN. It goes to a white screen and then back to the main home screen. And, like others, I have uninstalled and reinstalled. This app is constantly broken when I need it most.

After the upgrade in March 2022, the app no longer opebs on my phone.

I love westerra overall, although I cannot seem to access the app lately. Screen turns white after you tap the app and goes back to my home wallpaper. I Would greatly appreciate some help to solve this issue.

Unable to log in. Generally it's a good app, but now it's having me go through an endless loop of inputting my password/finger scan and adding my phone number to my profile. It won't even let me just view my accounts. This has never happened until now, and the latest update didn't seem to affect me at all like it did other users.

Been using this app for years even when it needed to be updated. Now I can't even open the app, I click on it and the screen is completely white then it just closes out.
