The Global Currency Card is a reloadable prepaid Visa card used to make payments in multiple currencies either in person or online, wherever Visa cards are accepted. You can choose from up to 11 currencies, locking in the exchange rate when you load funds onto the card.
It’s the simple, secure and convenient way to shop, whether online or overseas.

The mobile app helps you manage your card on the go. Where do I purchase the Global Currency Card?The Global Currency Card is available at a Westpac Australian bank branch and is available to anyone who is over 16 years of age, has an Australian residential address and satisfies our ID requirements (you do not need to be a Westpac customer). Tried using the app a year ago, could not log in no matter how mant times I tried. I'm heading overseas again and thought that perhaps they may have sorted themselves out by now. Still can't log in - seems pretty pathetic from a big four bank. Time to switch banks for overseas travel seeing as though Westpac don't seem to care about improving customer experience.

This app is horrific to use. Asks for user name and states I have the incorrect one. Freezes all the time. This should just be fully integrated into the normal Westpac app so you can change currency etc through there. Called and messaged about this issue and no one had been able to help and when I said that the reviews of this app have this issue all customer service agents acted like it's the first time they have heard it. Think I will have to cancel these cards and go back to Travelex where it was less admin and they are way more willing to help and not ask if you have "restarted your phone?!?" Or "delete and reinstall app?!!" 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

This Global Currency card is poorly serviced. It does not alert you when your card appears compromised. It has security flaws in the app. My card was compromised and they have not fully refunded my funds even though my claims have been accepted in February. I have written and made several calls and am still awaiting some kind of a response. I signed up for this travel card assuming it was backed up by WBC, apparently they are not linked directly to them and are operated independently of WBC.

Doesn't work! Unable to log in. Asks a Security Question which is not one of the ones originally answered when setting up at time of activation. Westpac online help suggested I use the browser version.

Attention to the bank management, this so called the global card is just a trash. I loaded A$2200 into the card, now it is completely useless and my money is stuck in, no way to withdraw my Aud currency back to my account at all. Needless to say in overseas, I loaded the card before I went overseas, and found the cards did not work at all.

simply useless....one of Australias biggest banks can't even get an app to work...pointless. you cannot log in. says password error, so you try to change which says "password changed successfully" then error wrong password when you go back to log in! westpac fail big time

Have been using it for 2 years for my daughter travelling alone overseas. Allows me to help her manage her budget and also purchase currency needed on the card. Easy to use once you get the hang of it.

No way to find out your username again. Need to use a browser. Only a reset password option. Card scanner is horrible and inaccurate

Like to move around the prioraty currency to not loose twice on exchange rate. Won't let me do this. The exchange rate itself is 3% less than any other bank would charge. Here goes the "benefit of no bank charges "!!

It is inconvenient to have to use a separate app for the travel card. Why cant this be managed with the normal westpac app? Comm bank travel card system is much easier to use.

Totally rubbish. I cannot log in as it wont recognise my password. I then set up a new password but it wont recognise that either. I deleted it and have cut up the cards and will go to another bank.
