WeSwap Travel Money

So far the app seems great although I've yet to try spending with the card. My only complaint is that the swap option defaults to an instant swap at the higher rate of 2%. Twice now I've accidentally chosen this option and once you've clicked swap there's no way back. Frustrating.

The app doesn't work properly I've had to change my password 4 times because it doesn't recognise the details and now I've had to unistall and reinstall to get it to work. If I hadn't put any money on the card and it didn't cost £5 to get my own money back I would have closed the account. I've never known an app so complicated not even the big bank's apps are that complicated and it doesn't cost you anything to close an account. If and when I do get in, shall be closing the account

App is terrible, I initially thought this service was good, it worked fine on two of my holidays but the app User Experience terrible, so many bugs, glitches and problems, app is terribly slow and is almost unusable. UPDATE: I will no longer be using WeSwap for travel money, they've messed me around too much, so many better alternatives one of which is Revolut.

I found this app slow and clunky. There's no options here to close down an account; every time i wanted to move to a different view i had to log back in; most pages wouldn't even load. I resorted to it because their website is impossible to access with their MFA Email verification leading to timeout messages, rather than actual logins. Not impressed.

App not working properly. Cannot reload the card. Absolutely no-one to call to ask for help, only email support. And don't tell me to reinstall cos I've tried that. I'm still waiting for a response. I used to use WeSwap all the time to travel, but now it's unreliable which you cannot have when traveling and you need funds. I'm withdrawing all my cash and then dumping this card. What a pity because when it worked in the past it worked well. WeSwap - read the reviews and fix the problems.

It used to be a good app, not sure what's happened, when I try to use the drop down arrow to select a currency in the list to exchange from it always crashes, I agree that customer service is very good and email are replied to in a very speedy time, I just wanna check the rates, i am considering using a different currency card as it's hard to see what u am gonna get rate wise, please sort this out or your gonna loose myself and others I think.

App is now terrible. Constantly crashing, I would like to see the rates available and every time I click on the graph the app crashes. What is the point of using this when you can't see the rates that are available! Needs an update and a proper fix.

Nice app and layout! Very easy to use! Shame about the fee charge. You look up the live rates and see they are good but then you get charged for the swap, so the rate is just like on the high street. Would of given 5 stars if it weren't for the fee. :/

Helpful and friendly customer service by phone and email. However the app doesn't seem to work as well as the versions before, the extra security is a hassle as it was much better with finger print, the page also takes a lot longer to load than before.

I had a review! This app is very unstable, slow to the point of crashing out on many occasions. They did not reply to my messages either. On the positive side, when it works carrying different currencies is a real positive. Keep ignoring bad reviews on compounds the problem.

Great to use in most places in the USA. Only works in places that swipe or use pin, not in laces that have to authorise via phone, but I used in Walmart, Disney, Universal and restaurants without problems. 1 good or bad side however you feel about it is when they bring the bill for food and u give them ur card to swipe that's the point when the total is charge to your card, when the waiter brings your receipt it then asks you to add tip and total payment. Do this but the tip will NOT process.

I have been using this app for awhile now but lately it has become a pain to use. Can't simply Top up and the app keeps crashing it is very annoying. Don't tell me that I need to contact tech support. I am sure that other users are having the same issues. Reading the reviews I have same as them So tech support look in to it.

Card expired. No information in app on expiry date. No advance notification of expiry (eg by text or email) & apparently Weswap have no program to automatically renew cards. There was no option to renew the card on the app or on the website - the only available option is to block the expired card. Had to queue to speak to help desk to order a card which should be waiting for me when I get home. Lucky I travel with rich friends!

Suddenly cannot log in. Both the android app and the website give an error message that the session timed out, immediately after inputting my password. I haven't seen this before, but if WeSwap is EVER unreliable I'll never use it again. Lucky that I'm not overseas, today, stuck without cash - but WeSwap does hold £200 of my money waiting to swap! Help!

Was able to use app to check functional before I left, see transactions from last holiday etc so I thought all was well. Now I'm abroad nothing works, unable to load and all can do is send email or leave voicemail. It seems this info was withheld deliberately. Complete ###holes.

No relevant update to fix multiple performance issues. This used to be a good app. ,now it is appallingly slow. Why do WeSwap ask for feedback to be sent by email too? It is perfectly clear what the issues are from numerous feedbacks/poor reviews. Is it a competency issue? Why no update for so long? Things clearly need fixing. C19 has impacted everyone but the issue with this app and website has been around ages. You will lose your business and jobs if not fixed soon! Recognise and fix pls.

Terrible. App doesn't work properly even after re installing it. Re set the passwords about 10 times and still won't let me access the app. Then the fees.... After the fees you'll be better off getting a terrible rate from Hays Travel. Card doesn't work sometimes whilst abroad either.

App now refuses to open. Tried to load the new WeSwap 2.0 app, but no matter what device or android version I try with it tells me that the device is not compatible with it. This older version now crashes every time I try to open it. So now I have no access to my account, I cannot order my "shiny new card", I cannot load any money, cannot create any swaps or do anything in connection with my account. Seriously considering complaining to the FCA to request that they close these amateurs down.

Have been using WeSwap for a few years now; cannot fault it and wouldn't be without it. Convenient, easy to use, secure and great exchange rates! Even came in handy for purchases in the UK while waiting for my replacement bank debit card to arrive. Have recommended it to family and friends! Keep up the good work.

Was a great app, but doesn't even fully load now and if i press a menu for comparison rates on exchange it just crashes. Won't show my balance either. Don't know what you've changed here tech guys but you need to put it back to the way it was!!

This app is a bloody waste of time. So is the website. Nothing bloody works. I have uninstalled & reinstalled three times. And it still does work. Just keeps crashing on me. Sort this out WeSwap. Can't load money or even Swap. Pointless really, if nothing works.

The app refuses to open. Apparently my card is about to expire. I have several hundred in several currencies loaded. Things do not bode well for WeSwap..or my money. I'd be wary about opening an account until all their online glitches are sorted out and fixed. Get a new app up and running asap. please.

I know they have a new app launching in August but I can't even open this version. It just keeps crashing. Not so good when you've moved and you need to change your address for their "shiny new card" as I can't even access my account. :#

I have used the app now for around 2 years and have found it up and down. The exchange rate is pretty good but the app not so much. It has been really slow lately and after transaction it takes up to 24 hours for the app to update.
