WFAE Public Radio App
The WFAE Public Radio App allows you to listen to WFAE live, pause and rewind the live audio, and view the program schedule for the WFAE stream all at once! You can explore On Demand content, search for stories, bookmark a story for later, and wake up to WFAE with the alarm clock!
Live Streaming
• DVR-like controls (pause, rewind, and fast forward). You can pause the live stream to have a conversation and pick up right where you left off! Or rewind to catch a comment you just missed!
• Listen to live streams from WFAE even while traveling! Start the app and your favorite station starts playing – no clicks to start listening.
• Integrated program schedules for every station. You can display up to three of your favorites at a time or flick once to see the schedules for all of your favorite stations.
• One click stream switching – flip over to the program you noticed on another stream with a single click.
• Listen to WFAE in the background while browsing the web or catching up on your emails!
On Demand
• Access public radio programs from multiple content providers (NPR, PRI, APM and WFAE) easily and quickly.

I enjoyed listening The thing I don't enjoy is the way the signal drops out I use a cell And it gets annoying after a while but other than that I enjoy it.
So many excellent local and national/international public radio programs available on the WFAE app... if you switch between using a podcast app (Android) and this app, you'll be a little frustrated by the lack of a pause feature. but otherwise, excellent access.
Outstanding local public station, great focus on local and regional issues.
Works ok when my phone is on WiFi, but move away from WiFi it can't make the sift to LTE. So it is not dependable. Unless there is some improvement, I will remove it.
Stops and starts infrequently. I wish whatever glitch this is would get fixed. I've deleted the app and reinstalled it several times. It's still glitchy.
If I could give half a star, I would. Your app is totally unreliable. Stops and starts randomly for less than 10 seconds at a time.
great access to fair journalism. but the app is a bit buggy. and I wish you could turn off auto play.
I hate having to sit through the Mazda of South Charlotte advertisement every time I open the app. God forbid I forget to mute the sound first. Surely there's a better (and less inconvenient) way to deliver your sponsor's content?
Having WFAE available for those driveway moments has been invaluable. When I get tired of the rants of the "Wall Man," I switch to the jazz channel and chill for a while. Sometimes, when I am running late for my academic ESL classes at CPCC, this app becomes a real benefit. Honored to be a member. Listening to the Senate Hearings for Judge Jackson reminded me that WFAE keeps us up to date in a way that we can do other daily activities simultaneously.
Taking wfae from RF to digital like a boss since 2007. It would be nice to have better access to the different shows' sites in-app.
Wonderful, and easy listening, love the convenience of listening to NPR anytime I want to.

I like the app, but many times it just stops working....very frustrating.
Sometimes it starts playing unexpectedly; other than that, I enjoy using it.

Very glitchy, constantly drops out
I love being able to take WFAE with me, but there's one problem. The volume turns off randomly. I've never tried to download podcasts, I've never heard disruptive ads, and I don't understand the third question below. How can an app be considerate of my time if I control when it's on or off? It doesn't turn on by itself.
