HORRIBLE app, so bad it isn't even supported by Google Play Store, requires sketchy third party workaround to update, can't trust the app, can't trust the news, uninstalled. What reputable organization would allow such a badly executed frontispiece to carry their name and logo? None. Thanks, WTSP and Baynews 9, for remaining true to your listeners and subscribers.
WFLA News 8 is great for getting our news. However, the new app leaves a lot to be desired. It does freeze every now and then. What bothers me more, No Push Alerts! I sent 2 emails requesting to know what the problem is and have not heard back from anyone. They do not even acknowledge them! Some serious improvement & I'll consider a better review. 😕 By the way, why isn't there any settings? And the app is freezing more & more. I'm considering a delete & maybe try FOX 13. Sorry things are truly messed up.

Local news, however there seem to be frequent glitches where everything but the news section will load. Also, there are A LOT of editing errors such as duplicated text and a bunch of grammatical errors that proofreading the articles would have caught.
You see a story tap the video and wait.and wait and wait and wait then give up...
Tried loading it up. First thing - ads. Buffered and buffered. Never got to enjoy any news articles. Much worse than previous versions of the app. Not ready for prime time.

Tried several TV news apps for the area and this seems the prettiest and easiest to use and has the best coverage and quality.
Issue not being addressed. The app crashes the minute it's opened & a few times after restarting. Aaahhhh!!
This app is perfect. It even has live news! I highly recommend.

Each news article has the same repetitive ad. I know that's how you make your money but with every news video you see the same two or three ads? Why not every third news story?

Great news cast, great news, you can also watch live feeds. Great app.
I used to have current live radar. Now, I don't I'm a golfer and it used to come in very handy on the course. Deleting app because i dont have it anymore after the update. Thanks ch 8
Great If You Like Full Screen Ads. Otherwise it's a big improvement over their previous version. I prefer bay news nine app over this one.
Stories and videos load faster and I can opt-out from getting push notifications. This is the go to app for news and weather in Tampa.
Now, this is an app that makes so much more sense than the old one. Good job!
Better graphics, more intuitive design, and it is now video enabled. All in all, a step up!

Used for about 15 minutes and it ran constantly in the background eating up battery life. No thanks
Truly horrible tried opening keeps saying no data available. Uninstalled and reinstalled same thing junk uninstalling for good. Gave up watching channel 8 news 2 weeks ago. Noticed that every time you watch about an article, the news was never the same.
