Constant notifications. Even after you check the settings to disable notifications. The app automatically changes itself to send you top notifications, go back in and turn off. Go back in and it's on again. .

I have enjoyed this app for years but now a new annoying feature has been added whereby whenever an article is opened, a loud video appears on the top. The sound can't be turned down, even when the sound on my phone is turned off. I have to be real fast to tap the stop button. It's especially disturbing when in a quiet place.

Love this app, top stories, in any category, if you follow a story regularly, it will keep you up to date on latest! Its FREE! I choose the permissions on my phone, t doesn't interrupt my apps. Just shows icon on top bar. I can choose to open or clear it. Give it a try, if you don't like uninstall. I tried, no problems, then reinstalled it. No ads! I run my Spyware software everyday, and this app is clean, I turned off certain settings, I didn't want, and app still works great! Thank you.

New update terrible! I use to really enjoy this app but NOT since the new update! Notification titles are cut off. When you press notification title, the app opens but no content is visible. Content is disorganized and the weather radar map is extremely limited and useless for my needs. Also, by the time notification of live video is given the press conference or event is practically over.

During the day...when I am working ..it is great to watch short snipits of local news and weather. I am able to stay current on news, weather, and travel around the Tampa and surrounding areas. I depend on current news for my business. News Channel Eight is my "go to" news channel and the app is an added bonus.

This app is terrible the majority of the time; it will not open even after being uninstalled and then reinstalling a complete waste uninstalling permanently.

Not liking the new app at all!! Navigation is so chaotic makes finding local news a nightmare. Also have a problem with it freezing while viewing video and reading stories. Traffic app is now just painful to use. Just depressing I've had to uninstall twice now.

Updated 25 September and 18 October, 2019 Great News and weather application. KUDOS to the developers for an easy-to-use and informative application. I rate 'em as I see 'em. WFLA News Channel 8 gets five stars for each aspect. It's the best of the three major networks. News Channel 8 is on my side and all of my devices. 'NUFF SAID 🇺🇸👍👍😎

Hard to follow and hard to get to the stories. I wish the way older version of the app would come back to where I could just scroll down the list of news events. I now use a competitors app that is much easier to follow.

This app works very well. I turned off every weather notification I could find and the options but still get constant weather updates, probably do to cross tags. Otherwise, this is an excellent app.

The app completely ignores your push notification preferences. I have on only local news, no weather, and no sports since I get those elsewhere. Every day I get national news, weather, and Bucs updates. I get updates from 6 national news sources and all 6 of them don't combine to send as many articles this one app does. I have sent in many complaints but still get Leigh with the weather every morning and hear all about Jamis Winston and Tom Brady. Fix your app or fix your tags.

Enjoy the variety of news coverage. Only issue is that "Top Videos" hasn't updated since 9/19/2019. I've uninstalled and reinstalled multiple times with no success in rectifying this issue.

This updated app is terrible. It is hard to navigate with disorganized searching. The old app allowed you easy access to the radar page, coronavirus info, hurricane info, etc. How did this update benefit the user, I would like to know.

Live strea blows. Have tried a couple times to live stream sports games. The video will not go to landscape. This time it won't even load. Wouod not recommend for streaming. I could care less about their news media.

I moved to New Orleans and this app allows me to keep up with hometown news. I read a LOT of news every day, but I always start with this one. The ads are repetitive and boring, but understandable.

Great coverage. Easy App. Love the Human and Animal Interest Stories on the Eagles & Giraffes. Gayle Siren and Bob Hite were great! Glad to see Gayle Guyado still filling in after all these years. When we see her on TV, we know we are home. The weather app is the best. Just wish you had a app that exclusively promoted all aspects of the Tampa Bay Rays.

The app works quite well. Unfortunately, despite the seemingly likeable online personalities, they are not journalists. Journalism is on life support and the media has signed a DNR. There is plenty of virtue signaling, and lying out there, I don't need to get it from this app. Uninstalling.

Had a problem but since corrected. Working well. Good local news source Only complaint, it opens with the same ad rotation every time. Very annoying since I have no interest in them

Stopped opening today. Removed, reinstalled...same. No good. Removed.

Horribly unstable app with more pop up advertisements than news.

Nice news app. But, could you please fix for tablets and larger phones, so that the screen doesn't go vertical in landscape mode.

After commercial plays the featured video will not play and entire story freezes up. Notified the station over a week ago and their app still does not work.

Worst app ever I turned all settings and notifications off an still get them anyway regardless downloaded it yesterday after deleting it over a yr ago time to delete an move on keeps freezing up regardless what u do app sucks

As with all media they don't give all the facts believe that critical parts they make the innocent look guilty and they make it go through the innocent so I really don't pay much attention to it anymore it's just a bunch of boring nonsense. And there's never ever a happy story

Not loud enough on Android phone. Also, won't auto-rotate to large screen size, even though "rotate setting" is in place. Also, not synced with live news on TV.

This app sucks, half the time it will not open and when it does it freezes. I'm just going with fox 13 app from now it works.

When I bring up an app I expect it to stay up until I dismiss it. I also do not like having to close it during a game when I did not request it.

I am new to this app. It began with the coverage of Gabby Petitio and your need anchor JB Beuno (if I spelled that right). He's the best news anchor I've ever watched. This app is excellent!!

The app works fine and covers most Tampa Bay area news adequately. i am not in love with the big ad that always covers the opening screen but it is a free app so I understand.
