Love the content, Professional anchors and reporters and ease of navigating throughout the app. I'm not a fan of the ads.
They got it working and it was the best TV news in Orlando. The October 2021 release, to fix some bugs, broke it again. It is unusable. Please fix it and don't touch it. It just spins when trying to read the news. My old phone (Android 6) might have been the problem. So, i bought a new phone (Android 11). The same problem exists. Somebody must be opening this site, because i can't. If zero stars was an option, this app deserves it.
Terrible app. The scrolling red banner on top is extremely distracting when trying to read. It's totally unnecessary as well because it just repeats what is already in the article list just below it. Speaking of the articles, there are so many duplicate articles that it just seems like WFTV is trying to fill up space. Time to dump this app and go to a more professionally built/maintained local news app.
My issue is with the app alerts and those running it. The alert message does not contain the entire headline forcing you to click on the alert to go to the app which take five to ten seconds to load the majority of time. I get you're trying to get users to go to the app but either make it load faster or just show the entire headline on the alert if you want to continue being my top choice for local news alerts.
Helps me stay in touch with most everything happening in the State of Florida and the world, especially about weather related issues, even when away from home. It's very informative.
This is the third time (I am a persistent dolt) I have downloaded this app. But it will be the last if the freezing problem continues. It stops working and I get an error message that it is no longer responding. I want local news and have always liked the news from this station but the online news service stinks.

The app freezes for about 10 seconds if opened from a notification. Not a user friendly interface.
Never a big fan of ads anywhere. Channel 9 is the only channel I watch for news!!!
I have always watched WFTV (Most All of my life so over 40 years) I am only giving this app one star because it will not stop refreshing and sliding me back to the top story! Why have an app with we'll say at least 10 stories if all I can see is the one on top!?! I'm only keeping it till the new update happens and at that point if this is not corrected then I will delete the app and say farewell to WFTV! I have really tried to stay faithful but we shall see! PLEASE FIX THE PROBLEM! EARN STARS!
Not best app to use, freezes, does not clear notifications upon opening app. Have to clear every notification manually
I enjoy channel 9, this is my favorite news station and I've always been able to watch it on my tablet before....but now within the last month I can't get it to open up to the 12:00 news. The AP seems to be streamed into 13 different segments! Whichever stream I click on, it does not open up, although I can hear the news I'm not able to watch it now. I really hate to resort to loading another news station ap....please please fix this AP for me! Let's go back to a 5 star!Thank you!
The app constantly crashes. When I get a notification about a specific news article and I click it, it takes me to the main page where I get to stare at the anchors. I wait. It still doesn't bring up the article I clicked on. Back to Wesh2 only for me.
I use the WFTV News & Weather Apps everyday. Both function very well, helping me keep up with important news, and to know what to expect from weather conditions (which in Florida can literally be a lifesaver.)
It doesn't work. I can't watch live at news times it won't play at all or it will only play one story or segment. Also very hard to navigate website. Very disappointed with this new system you've got running
The app provides with up to the minute news features locally, nationally and world wide. Their weather app is excellent sending out notices of extreme weather so I can prepare to ride it out. Recommend both apps highly.
I do Love this app. Channel 9 is always right on top of the newest current news and is always sending updates. The weather portion is Fabulous as well because as we know the weather can change quickly.

Great content too many pop ups... I am following WFTV but it pops up the box to follow WFTV every frigging time I open the app or link to it from Facebook. And it's slooooww to load often. Love the news but the app has it's own issues.
Love this app and the morning news team
This app is ok. It stays pretty current with detailed articles. The issue is the app has different news sections and they put the same article in each section so you see it 3-4 times.
App used to be my go-to for news, but no longer loads. Just sits idle on the loading screen with the spinning loading circle for several minutes before I lose interest and close the app.
Easy to use and on point notifications.
The live stream on this app is terrible. It cuts in an out constantly, then gives you an error message and you can't restart the stream.

Why is it, that with every launch of the WFTV app, that just prior to the start of their load screens, a "Channel 2" (not our local WESH station) image loads? Is the "Channel 2" displayed getting increased stats etc. By jumping on the WFTV user loads? I've uninstalled and reinstalled WFTV News and the image still loads before the WFTV app starts. Other than this issue, the app is great.
