WGAL News 8 and Weather

Good local news & weather coverage but I wish they would fix the Chromecast feature in Android app. After clicking the Chromecast icon & selecting the device the app connects to Chromecast but goes into infinite buffering. Watching it on my phone is too hard on my eyes so I rarely watch it and we don't have cable.

The app works well, but one very annoying feature of this app that caused me to take off a star is the fact that many articles feature an auto-playing video that starts with an ad that CANNOT BE PAUSED. I don't usually want to watch the video portion of an article, and the ad playing when I'm in public can be disruptive and annoying to other people. I can fix the issue by muting my phone, but a better fix altogether would be to disable auto-play. Otherwise, WGAL is my go-to local news source.

Can't even the videos only the commercials. Fix it. It has been going on for over a month.

I think WGAL8 is the best news network with the most professional TV reporters, news anchors, camera coverage, hard hitting stories that teach and touch our lives for the better. It's the news company I will always trust. WGAL8 trusted to give real news. 💯%!

I have followed this news for 20+ years and love it! But lately there's soooo many commercials/ads on the app during the news I feel like I'm watching more ads than news? This just changed recently. Please calm down with the ads! Each ad block is 6-10 ads that's are 30 sec long each and only 5 min of news in-between ads. With out the ads it's a 5 stars

one of my favorite apps for everyday use. mostly accurate and mostly up-to-date.

For over a year I was able to watch the news with this app on my Galaxy Tab4 but with the latest update it doesn't launch the news broadcast. I get a commercial and then it closes instead of launching the nowcast or earlier broadcast. Very disappointing. I uninstalled the app, rebooted the tablet and reinstalled the app. Same result. What a shame I can't get the local news anymore.

It's really a great app. The only thing that I would change is that you should be able to use it without WiFi because I was down in Delaware not knowing we were supposed to have a big storm and our trailer got damaged badly because I didn't know that the storm was coming, overall it's one of the greatest apps i've installed... Great News station with really good newscast.....

The app works fine. The problem is a few years ago WGAL stopped showing the dewpoint. Or it was moved to where I am not seeing it. I want to see the dewpoint along with the humidity.

None of the videos load. You cant read the news. Its so delayed when you scroll it doesnt page up and down. Better off waiting for the nightly news i guess. I live on the same street as the actual building so im quite confused

Every single night I try to stream the news, it continues to freeze or not load at all, which has been the past week. It's frustrating. I'm not paying for cable, just so I can watch the local news.

If it weren't for the local weather reports, I wouldn't have the app downloaded. The very frequent use of CNN articles for their "news" shows a bias that nobody can deny. I would prefer fact based news. And find it elsewhere.

I like how it give updates and when the weather is bad. If I miss the news on TV I can get my phone and tap on the app and watch the weather.

Very biased, opinionated news articles. Not the same as the actual broadcasts. More of a social media feel rather than a news site feel.

Terrible app! You try to get to the information you need & you get shifted all over the place or into approx ten minutes of ads. I've already uninstalled this app & will be deleting it as soon as I am done with this.

Waste of space on my phone. Hardly ever loads live broadcast and its loaded with ads. Don't waste your time with it. Changed to CBS, that app works.

Your map still needs work on. Takes time area weather maps show properly without straight lines. Besides that, only decent map considering major news stations wont show Central an South Eastern parts of Pennsylvania.

App will Not open anymore. I mostly use for weather. I hate watching all the ads just to see news. I liked the old weather app which was discontinued.

Why on earth does this app force close now all of the sudden?!? I keep looking for an update I may have missed but nothing. The app barely stay on long enough for me to read even one article... Please HELP!!!

Horrible no pop out player, way way too many commercials and not enough content. Sorry but I'm switching to abc 27.

Cannot find current LL league high school football scores on Friday night. I can on Fox 43 app but not WGAL. If they are there you might want to look into making them easier to find.

It's time to stop watching and using this app and news channel. It has become so twisted and 1 sided. I have watched wgal for 40 yrs but can't take it anymore!!!

To me I think that news 8 is another exsalent app , it right on for telling the weather for my area, and again great job, if I could I would give this app 20- ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. So people if you live in the Lancaster area get this app because it is right on.

Extremely left leaning biased news. Only shows one side if it fits their agenda. They are what is wrong with the media today.
