WH40K: Dice Companion (8th Edition)

-2 stars reason : The way to change nb of dice to roll isn't practical at all. We have to click on the box every single time. Just adding little up and down arrows next to each box as another way to change numbers would accelerate the process by a lot. And if we do prefer to click on it, please make it that at least the last number is selected so we can overwrite right away instead of having to backspace it manually. Otherwise excellent app. Please keep improving it to make the games faster.

Utterly BRILLIANT app. Well done for this BTW. Has one ad at the beginning which you can skip after 5 seconds and that's it. However I would add a short tutorial as it was a little confusing to begin with as I didn't know it automatically passes the result on to the next button. However, this is the only dice app you need for 40k. Kudos to the devs for responding. I look forward to testing the tutorial if you do one.

This is a great idea but needs a lot more work, especially when it comes to changing "to hit" and "to wound" drop downs. The boxes are far too small and often dont register I am trying to change the value. This could probably be remedied by making the UI bigger. In the end it took me longer to change numbers and roll than to roll real dice. This is a good concept and just needs more polish to make it really useful.

I like the idea and for basic rolls this app does its job well. Buuuuuut unfortunately it has a few problems with its re-roll logic when it comes to wound rolls such as telling me I scored 8 wounds with re-rolls while showing me it re-rolls 5 dice from 8 and only 4 have actually wounded from the roll (which the app shows at the top of the screen). Another short coming is that the app does not have the option to adjust for modifiers so if you know you roll 3+ to hit and the target has a -1 modifier you must look at the dice and manually correct the information yourself. All in all a good app for basic rolls to hit, wound and save. With solid re-rolls logic on hit rolls only (providing there are no modifiers).

This is great except for experiencing the same thing as reviewer Thomas Bourgeois; the results are always very close to average. I read the FAQ on it but it doesn't explain why this happens. Otherwise, all I'd like is an option to use pre-8th S/T because I still play 7th. Special Rules like Rending are easy enough to do manually.

At the moment this app shouldn't be used for games, as it does not follow the correct logic for negative modifiers. If you take a WS of 3 for example and a - 1 mod, it will re roll the rolls of 3. And it should not be. It expects you to do the initial roll with no negative modifier then add the neg modifier before pressing re roll... But then it fails spectacularly at coming up with the right number of hits.

I love the app but the only thing is that it seems to always roll around average no matter what. Almost like there is a +/- around the average result. I rolled 100 dice like 100 times and it was near the same result 100% of the time. Dice are dice but it makes me skeptical

This app is really good! I just recently got into Warhammer, and I play Tyranids so I would have had to purchase 180 dice on top on the kits. This app was a lifesaver. It is intuitive and easy to use. 4.5 stars as there is an annoying ad when you load it up, but overall a brilliant app.

It is a good app the only thing that really needs improving apon are small things like being able to roll how many shots you make, for instance the ork Deffkannon rolling 3d6 shots. Other than that it is a great app.

It's just too slow. Over 10 seconds to roll 40 dice, and it gets exponentially slower as you roll more dice. I spent 30 minutes in Google Chrome console and wrote a tiny app that does the same, and rolls over 100,000 dice is under a second.

I really like this app. My dice rolling got alot simpler when playing my orks. If only there was a way that allowed me to add the dakka dakka dakka rule to my rolls, that would be great. Also being able to save a list of preset dice rolls would be nice feature to have. Thanks for all your hard work.

Needs a few more features: As a user, I would like to be able to make damage rolls after saves deduct wounding rolls. Edit: Removed 1 star - can't change ws/bs from 'to hit' dropdown menu from 2+

really good dice app. better than assault dice from GW itself. only thing I would suggest is maybe a small tutorial or something regarding how the rerolls work and modifiers. otherwise it's really good

Very good app just wish their was a faster way of choosing the number of dice because if you have to do it over and over it seem to be too time cosuming. I do recommend it.

Cool app! Works well, looking at getting the paid version to support a fellow Warhammer player. Also found out that the developer played Tyranids like myself! Always awesome to see a fellow hive fleet commander.

Excellent app for all the basic 40K rolling. Would be nice to see features for Exploding Dice, Random Shots, and Mortal Wounds on 6s.

Great app should be a 5 star BUT it doesn't let me exit properly, don't know if bug or coded on note 9. P.s. top banner adds big positive, don't get the accidental press.

I have used this app for years and loved it, but now that you want me to pay for the same services even though you already have adds I'm deleting the app.

Its very good. I wish it had options to reroll saves or roll for damage but its good otherwise.

i would love to be able to use this app on my samsung note 9, but it just crashes repeatedly.

The dice app is ok, however with 40k being attached to the description I would expect an invulnerable save option.

Since the removal of a banner add that blocked visibility to some crucial parts this app has worked fantastically for its purpose

None of the dice roll. Zeros appear below the dice, followed by Zero hits! And zero saves! I think it's broken

the only thing missing are damage rolls but u dont need a lot of dice for those so as a 40k dice app it basically has all u need
