Endlessly tells me to check that bluetooth is on. App was working sporadically, but now it doesn't work at all, even after reinstalling. And no, I don't want to call support. If you have any troubleshooting guidelines that would be more helpful
This works great! If you have an issue with it asking to check your Bluetooth you need to turn on your location and make sure you are not using a VPN app to change your location it happened to me and I realized I had the cyber ghost VPN on when I turned it off the fireplace paired with my phone again.
Works sometimes but most times does not. I keep getting, "check Bluetooth" and I do in my phone AND on fireplace. Still same old let down N have to run downstairs to turn on fireplace in order to take chill out of the family room. If only the app worked! GRRR. Bad deal for someone with a bad knee and can't do steps well.
Worst app ever. Doesnt always work and recently it stopped working altogether. Now it keeps telling me to use a different app and when I downloaded that app it said to use the other app. There is nothing I can do except turn the fireplace on and off using the control panel on actual fireplace.
Bought this unit about a week ago, assembled and put in place last weekend. Tested using control panel and remote, then downloaded bluetooth app onto S10. Worked great that night. This past Friday trying to use same phone, got message saying the app was built for an older version of Android, check for update - none. No connection to fireplace, ensure bluetooth is on. So far no help from customer service. Ideas, please?
Make sure "location" is on on your phone if having probs w bluetooth connectivity!! I saw this tip below and ¡voila! it fixed my problem! I couldn't get the temperature to adjust without going through the app!
It was sad to see that the app wasn't working after I got the newest Android version but after the last update everything seems fixed. I can go back to staying on the couch and flipping on the heater using my phone.
Blue tooth issues? Location must be turned on. Worked one time than after trying to figure it out. Got a second down load. It does not work either. Wish I could take item back for refund.
App worked great, until it didn't. Everything worked as it should until phone updated to new version of Android this app no longer supports. Now phone will no longer connect to fireplace **Update** as promised, whalen updated the app to work with the new Android and all is well again. Back to 5*
Doesn't work..I did everything your supposed to do and it keeps saying check to see if bluetooth is on and it is. I give up..half the time my remote doesn't even work that it came with it.
This app SUCKS. It NEVER connects. My husband deleted his app so we didn't have more than one app on a phone in the house, and it STILL won't EVER connect. Not worth the time.
Doesnt work with android. What's the point? Android is after all the most prevalent os on the planet, but my phone can't even connect to my fireplace. Oh well, i hope the remote lasts.
It worked fine for 5 days, now all I get is check that the Bluetooth is on and it is so there's something wrong with the Bluetooth in the fireplace. Please get this fixed.
Keeps telling me to make sure bluetooth is on when it already is. Have not been able to connect. This app is garbage
The app used to work perfectly! But now it keeps telling me it is out of date and there is no update. It doesn't connect to the fireplace anymore.
Would intermittently connect before, at best, but not it will not connect at all since Android update.
Junk. App does not detect fireplace. It just searches and searches.
Absolutely the most convenient and easy way to add ambiance, comfort, & or warmth...No matter the time of year
I got a new phone and now I can't connect my fireplace to my bluetooth and I have no idea why. I've searched Google with 0 luck.
Doesn't connect most times to your fireplace. I miss my remote and wish I could by a replacement.
No matter what I try i can not get this app to connect with my Charkeston 54" Model #WS3062426FP Would be nice if it would work as I lost remote and refuse to pay 30.00$ for a new one.

I LOVE my fireplace!! However, I sometimes have a hard time getting the app/fireplace to connect, even afyer I un-install the app & then re-add it; after I make sure Bluetooth is on & the fireplace has been added as a paired device; after I make sure "location" and wi-fi are both on, etc. THANK YOU!!
